Cheated by Cheetah, In March of 2022 I met with Will Randt, a salesperson for Cheetah Solar, to discuss the costs and electric-service savings that could result from putting a 4 kW photovoltaic array on my house in Glendale, AZ. He calculated the total cost as $14,255, from which I would be reimbursed 26% by the IRS and 25% by the state of Arizona when I filed my taxes. Thus the total cost to me would be $6999, which would be paid off in electric bill savings in 6-7 years, after which they are profit. The installation would be done by Titan Solar, while Cheetah Solar arranges all the required permits and inspections. After I signed on and paid up, and it was installed, I went to download the IRS and AZ tax forms and found out that Will had lied. The AZ refund is capped at $1000, and I would not receive the promised $3564 he had told me was coming. My advice to anyone approached by Cheetah Solar is to verify everything they say before signing or committing to anything.
