I cannot express how happy we are and how good of an experience we've had with San Diego County Solar, Seth, his installation team Ian, Tim and Tim, and Roy. They were the only company that was transparent and honest with us about NEM 3.0. They were willing to answer any and all of our questions and even post-install Seth has offered to answer any questions we have about our system, NEM, our true up, etc. No pushy, gross feeling sales pitch. No gimmicky nonsense. No shady, insanely high APR loans to line their pockets. Just honest, upfront information, transparency, and QUALITY work. We had major issues trying to get our HOA to clear our install. SDCS was kind enough to call our HOA and get help get our paperwork pushed through from the HOA. We'd been trying for months. Seth was able to get it for us the day he called which allowed us to install less than a week later. Our install was SUPER smooth. The guys are awesome and we felt 100% comfortable with them in the house. Our dogs loved them. They respected our request to stay masked in the house which we really appreciated and they were willing to work around my husband's and my work schedules for the short time that the power had to be turned off on Day 2. They left our house as clean as when they got here which is something I've NEVER had happen with a contractor. Clean, clean, clean work on the solar install itself, but also in/around our home. And Ian, Tim-with-a-beard and Tim-without-a-beard were just super cool guys. Nice, funny, and willing to involve us in the process. (What paint color for the areas that needed paint, where did we want the breaker box, etc.) Roy was able to schedule us for our inspection the Monday after install and then we got permission to turn our system on ***SAME DAY*** as inspection from SDGE. We were floored. Our process from install Day 1 to PTO was 6 days total. Our entire experience has been nothing but positive from start to finish. When I first spoke to SDCS, they told me something that I VERY, VERY much believe: 'they may not be the cheapest company in terms of price, but they aim to be the best.' And I absolutely believe it. I have seen it in the way they've treated us as customers, the way they respected our home, and how good our solar install turned out. 10 out of 10 glowing recommendation from us. It was worth paying the tiny bit more to go with a such a good company. THe saying "you get what you pay for" certainly applies for us. We got an amazing solar install that we're really proud to have on our roof and help us zero out our SDGE bills. For anyone looking to get solar, it's worth paying the little more to get the incredible quality of work and attention to detail that SDCS puts into their jobs. They're a small company that really cares about what they do and if we didn't have an HOA I'd glad rep a sign that says we got our solar from SDCS.
