the design needed to be changed at the time of install and the owner came out personally to work with me, which I liked. the panels were not completely straight when first installed and they corrected that problem quickly and graciously.<br />don`t think we needed a building permit, but if we did, Solar Works of Sebastopol, CA -- our vendor -- handled everything -- they deducted the cost from our job and collected the rebate themselves
