I worked for 30 years at a Department of Energy National Laboratory. In that time, I managed staff working on grid management, SCAD, buildings technology, energy codes and standards and renewable energy. Therefore, I knew enough about solar technology to be dangerous. Fast forward, my wife and I just moved to Texas to be with our daughter. Having a perfectly facing south roof and many sunny days I thought it was a wise time to go solar and leave a legacy of reduced electric bills.
