Selected based on equipment supplied, competitive pricing, ability to monitor production and consumption, as well as a colleague recommendation. Strongly advocate installing solar but warn readers to expect a complex multistage project - no matter which company you select. Feel that we got what we paid for but experienced longer than usual delays to our 6.5 month long project. Some delays were external (COVID outbreak) but internal project management mistakes played a major role - oversight of inclusion of EV charger in original design and permit application meant a doubling up on these steps. Original PM replaced mid project but still needed to personally reach out to permitting office and the PM multiple times to move forward when project stalled. (Signed contract March, Solar array was installed mid-July, approved to operate granted by ComEd mid-August, and completion of EV charger install September). Selecting a larger, national solar install company would have been easier, saved some legwork but would have cost more. Very happy with the final look and function of the system. As a new customer, I cannot yet comment on Sun Badger Solar’s after-sale services but am hoping these are more positive.
