Bought 18 Samsung 457 W panels in 2012 largely on trust in the name. That was a surprising mistake. The first 4 years, electric production was consistently good and I was a satisfied consumer, however the 5th year showed a reduction of 10%, well within the range of the production warranty. That reduction continued to increase in the 6th and 7th years to 30%. This year, the 8th, we’re at a 35% reduction on 8 panels and 15-20% reduction on the remaining 10. When the reduction began, I contacted the installer who confirmed the problem was the panels and not the Enphase inverters, but neither the installer or the distributor could get Samsung to acknowledge the problem was under warranty and finally Samsung stopped responding completely.
