A Bad Experience

I originally chose Albany Solar Solutions because Travis, the owner seemed to have more knowledge than any of the others i got quotes from. I noticed quite quickly however that once I chose them, the return phone calls stopped. They eventually did install a system - one that to this day is not working - but it was in fits and starts and it was like pulling teeth to get a return phone call. The long and short if of it is they never finished the job and they refused to answer my attemtpts to reach them, no phone messages, text or email. I even sent a registered mail letter which they refused to pick up. I also found out that the paperwork they told me they had done was never even begun. Travis told me he had gotten the required building permit, I eventually found out that he filed nothing. Likewise he told me he had filed required paperwork with Central Hudson - when I checked after he disappeared, there was not even the preliminary stuff filed. At one point facing various expenses to complete the work he never finished, I called the engineer he had sent to my house to see if I could access his report, so that I would not have to pay f or another one. Same as Travis - he would not return my calls. I have come to doubt if he is even an engineer, just more scam. Surely there was no engineer by that name when I googled him trying to find out if he had an office or something I couldn't reach him by phone. It is costing me a couple thousand extra dollars to get my system back on line. Not something I am happy about. Believe it or not this is the SHORT version. And in short, I would say stay as f ar away from this guy and his company as you can.
