I chose Off Grid by Design because they are a small family owned business and were cheaper than big box retailers and installers. Charles and his son Chris installed a 8.6kw system for me that has already begun paying for itself. We went live December 5th 2019 and by February 2020, my utility bill is already down to $7.98. They also installed a Sense Energy Monitor which has been very useful in helping me find appliances that draw power when not in use and also tracks how much we generate per hour/day/bill. I will likely be contacting them again to expand once our new garage and pool are built. Charles is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about solar and Chris’s work ethic is second to none.
