I received bids from 5 local installers in September 2019. I asked all to quote the same thing: SE5000H inverter, LG335 x 16 panels. Prices ranged from $5/W to $2.80/W. Promised install dates ranged from weeks after signing to half a year (which would push me into 2020 and lose 4% of the tax credit). Slingshot Power and one other provider were able to hit the $2.80/W target, but Slingshot also promised 1-2 week installation, so I went with them. In reality, they had the system installed in under 2 weeks. City inspection took another 2 weeks (not sure why so slow, but just got that approved yesterday), and PGE approval is still in process. So they met my fast and low price target. They also did some extra work to ensure that some holes left in my roof from a prior pool solar installation were well covered and would not leak. The work crews really were great and were willing to go beyond and meet any request I made as the work progressed. I think the company is under new management as of a year or so ago, so that might be why my experience was much better that some older reviews indicate.
