Matthew McPherson was our contact at Renova. He was always on time, and he explained everything in detail and our options. We had received a separate bid from Hot Purple, but we decided on the company with the most experience. Once we signed the contract, Matt told me that if I could get a Nest smart thermostat in the future, he'd go ahead and install it. Instead of Nest, we went with Ecobee. Matt hadn't installed one previously, but he gave it a shot. The Ecobee required an attachment to our HVAC, which was in the attic. It was beyond Matt's scope, but at least he made the effort. We decided to return the Ecobee and get a Nest, something that we had more control over. Matt came back out to the house and installed it for free. He kept us updated every step along the way of the installation process.. They took care of dealing with our HOA, Edison, and the City. Once permits were approved and they got the go ahead, the install started soon after. The installers were professional, and you could tell they liked to work together. I love upbeat workers! We were told to expect a three-day installation, but they were able to finish within two days.
