SunPower lease sucks
I am completely dissatisfied with SunPower and intend to make sure anyone I know does NOT use them. This is the second major issue we have had with them. The first was their delays in fixing a safety issue with our system (our house could have burned down) and now with the performance guarantee check. Be aware that the SunPower lease says that the performance guarantee check that is due the lease owner goes to the current lease owner. This means if you sell the system the new owner gets the full amount. In my case, the new owners only had the lease for 10 days of the year. I called SunPower and they are refusing to split this up and said I have to contact the new owners and “work it out with them”. This is completely unsatisfactory in a day and age when it is easy to know how to split the funds. Looking for more sites to post this comment to now.
