We contracted to have over 90 panels installed on our large flat roof about 8 years ago. We expected to save a great deal of money. It never happened. When adding our Hawaii electric and the sunrun bill together the bill actually stayed about the same. I am very busy and finally contacted them after a couple of years as to why no savings. They sent out a tech guy that said the monitor needed a router as ours in the house did not reach its mentoring device. The teck asked me to go buy a router and set up in our storage shed. I responded that that was not my intention and they must be responsible for it. I never saw the guy again. I do not think the system was ever mentored as was in the contract. After approximately 2 years the roof started to leak. We asked the company to take off half of the panels off the roof. They did for $100 per panel. They forgot to turn the other panels off and my roofers received quite a shock when they touched the live wires. The companies response was no harm no foul if no one was hurt. When the panels were installed again the roof was damaged and of course no help from Sunrun.I sold the home a year ago and the new owner did not want to take over the contract until the roof and all of the were panels working. Sunrun has now sent a demand letter for over $129000. I am filing a complaint with Hawaii consumer affairs and it looks like I will have to hire an attorney. They breached there contract so many times I can not count them. Stay away from these guys.<br /><br /> HELPFUL Be the first one to find this review helpful
