We have gone solar for our home and utilized Green Power Energy's (GPE) services. <br /><br />Before I get into specifics of our project, we had received estimates from SunRun, Trinity, Vivint, SolarCity and Green Power Energy (GPE). We requested estimates from all the various solar panel system providers, we received the most competitive rates for the same or even better set of panels/inverters and warranty associated with the equipment from Green Power Energy (GPE). <br /><br />Starting from their Sales staff who did an exceptional job in explaining in details every question we asked. We did not ask one or two but 50 plus questions and GPE sales staff responded including all the details requested with patience. Their response and estimates prompted 20 of our friends go to solar with GPE. What sets them apart based on firsthand experience is that GPE sales staff were patient in answering questions to the customers satisfaction rather than answering it for the sake of getting the business.<br /><br />After contract was signed, GPE back office took care of the permits and all the other formalities to make it as painless for the customers and information flow to customers was consistent at every step of the process.<br /><br />Our contract was signed in September 2018. There are many reasons where customers don't understand that this project is not that one presses a button and panels are installed and turned ON. Utility and township approvals are required and are the biggest bottlenecks as it is beyond anyone's control. In addition to waiting game for required permits, weather also played a spoilsport on many days in fall 2018 otherwise panels could have been installed a lot earlier than they were.<br /><br />Despite all this GPE installed all the brackets, railings and frames before the end of 2018, last week of December in subzero temperatures. After township and utility's final approval, our system was turned ON without any delay. <br /><br />I would like to recognize that GPE field crew including electricians, foreman and panel installation crew are extremely professional and thorough. They were very good in answering every question along the way and providing details of advantages and disadvantages regarding installing the conduits and the inverter (inside or outside the house), leaving totally up to customers to decide irrespective of the amount of work associated with each option varied significantly for them. Key is honesty from GPE's field installation crew.<br /><br />Every home owner's concern is how the panels would look and if the conduit is exposed it would make the aesthetics of the house roof unfavorable. GPE crew asks the customers how one would like to run the conduit and in our case, the front elevation of the house, conduit was exposed outside and after requesting to correct the situation to GPEs upper management (Mike S./ Eric D.), they immediately requested field crew to run the conduit from our attic. Now the panels look like they are wireless panels:-)). We don't have attic throughout the house and we can't run all the conduit from inside the house. However, GPE crew has done an exceptional job in installing the conduit in a way that it is not visible as it's installed at the edge of the roof and the edge of siding of the house where it is invisible and through attic where it's available. <br /><br />Our system is turned ON. We are very excited to go SOLAR and thankful for excellent experience and service from GPEs sales, design, back office staff responsible for scheduling, upper management and most importantly their field crew including foreman (Jessy/Logan) and electrician (sorry forgot his name). I am naming names because field crew are like soldiers and on the front line and they must get the due credit for their outstanding work as field folks are the one who put the food on the table for any company. A company can have the best sales pitch but if the field or installation crew does not walk the talk, business can't grow. Thanks again for field crews hard work. <br /><br />System is turned ON and I could track everything including overall energy production by day/week/month on SolarEdge app. First five years of monitoring is covered as part of the contract through GSM. Solar Edge app also allows user to check the health of each panel. <br /><br />It has been pleasure doing business with GPE. Hoping we will receive the best service going forward also if in any case there are any issues with energy production associated with panels or inverter
