My salesman was great. The survey guys were great. The installers were great. The first four years the system was great. Then came the fifth season and the performance dropped a full 20%. My credit with ACE has dropped steadily by a few dollars a month but in the last two months, my credit dropped from $77 to $44 and at this rate, I will be paying my lease to SolarCity and an electric bill too. Of course SolarCity says the panels need to be washed off with a hose every 6 months, something I've never done. Add to all of this the fact that this home went from 4 adults to one. Their tech service refuses to send a technician out to find out why the system is failing. They say the computer says I am above the rate they guarantee the system to make. Add to this the fact that a friend I recommended to them has their system with more panels and pays less per month than me.
