We began looking into solar about 2 years ago when AZ announced plans to increase APS rates again. Wanting to be protected from future hikes was a major motivating factor. We got quotes from 3 companies. The big ones (Tesla) we're far more interested in leasing a system and pushed sales gimmicks without supplying a lot of solid information. John and Black Platinum were an entirely different matter. I learned a ton about the industry and options in my first 1.5 hour discussion with John. I knew right away that if we decided to go solar, BP would be our company. His price was competitive. He personally walked us through all the steps of the contract, APS plans, and installation. He even gave me a $1500 refund when he realized he could do the job without adding an electrical panel he had budgeted for. But the proof is in the pudding, of course. We ask for a 100% system meaning we didn't ever want to see a bill over the $33 monthly connection fees. Our system was turned on in Decemebr of last year and it's now October (almost through the AC season) and it looks like we will have about a months surplus power going into the next yearly cycle. How great does that feel? I have recommended BP to several colleagues and one used BP with a similar experience. Do your HW, but know you're wasting your time because BP is the way to go. Honest, hardworking, integrity, nice, prompt, and funny... All BP characteristics!
