Sam (the owner of Alternatex) sold us a 3740 W system, as well as a radiant barrier and new low-e windows. At the time, all the installations were outsourced to other companies as his business was still quite young, I believe he now has his own installers. He helped us navigate the red tape dealing with the City of Denton, and even threw in a bonus window in our garage. The solar system has been working great for over two years now, though it doesn't seem to be saving us quite as much on our electric bill as Sam had projected. Also, the 5% projected annual increase in electric rates (apparently an industry standard) is not realistic where we live. So our system will take longer to pay back for itself than we originally expected.
