The final step is done and the job is complete. The workmanship looks great. Our Solar System has been running since April 24th. Our meter is running backwards!<br /> Every step of this process was handled competently by the good people at American Senty Solar. There were a lot of steps to be coordinated but American Sentry did all of it. It made the process quite easy. Lots of follow-up phone calls to make sure BGE showed up at appointed times to do what was required.<br />Our journey started on March 19th with contract signing. We learned a lot about ‘microconverters' and net meters and panels… great panels...285 watts each (among the best currently available) and extremely durable. On March 29th came panel installation followed the next day with a new breaker panel and system wiring. After installation of required grounding wire came Baltimore County Inspection which passed on April 11th. While awaiting on the scheduled installation by BGE of our new ‘Net' meter, we received filled out paperwork to apply for Baltimore County Grant and property tax credit… all we had to do was sign and mail! Net meter installed on the 23rd followed by BGE monitoring net meter function then notifing us on the 24th of April that it was 'OK' to turn on the system and, after 1 initial overcast rainy day… has been running ‘backwards' ever since.<br /> Every step of the way American Sentry Solar was there with pertinent information about what to expect next… and when. This seems to be a well run company with happy employees (yes we were informed by some of the employees that they liked their jobs and one that said it was the best place he's ever worked.)<br />American Sentry Solar made a believer out of me. If your ‘on the fence' about Solar, I can tell you that this company does it right, their pricing is competitive, and the system they install is top notch using the newest proven upgraded tech.
