One of the reasons I chose Boston Solar was that a student's mother - who had purchased a system from Boston Solar - told me that her brother in law worked for Granite Solar in New Hampshire. They considered moving into Massachusetts, but eventually decided not to because of regulatory issues - they ended up referring prospective Mass. customers to Boston Solar because they were impressed with their business model. My experience was very good from start to finish: the company took a lot of time to explain how things would go and in particular did a beautiful job on the installation. I dinged them a little below on schedule because things lagged by several months - my understanding is the solar biz has been flat out this year, so that may have been unavoidable, but the woman who recommended them said they were also behind last year. But I'm very happy with the final result.
