I spent more time, I think, than most people researching different panels, installers, and layouts for my project. Realizing that I'd be looking at these panels for 20+ years, I didn't want to go with yesterday's technology but I also didn't want to overpay for tomorrow's. Dan was very patient and helpful, answering all my questions and working within my budget to get 16 365W LG panels instead of 21 275W panels that other installers were pushing and for more money. Looking back, I'm very happy I chose Energy Monster over the several other options I had considered.<br />Needing to complete the project by the end of the year, Dan and Chris worked overtime with me to make sure the installation and all the paperwork got filed on time. Anyone planning to use National Grid's solar tariff program in RI (it's worth it!) should make sure they get started early to have a buffer with the various beauraucratic obstacles that can arise along the way.<br />In the end, I'm quite happy with my installation -- it looks clean and has been working without a hitch. The only issue is that my production for the first 3 months is below what I was expecting because of all the bad weather -- I'm expecting things will overproduce in the summer. However, people thinking about installing panels might want to treat their winter estimates a bit more conservatively.
