Great team, great install!

We had solar installed by Auric recentlyFrom start to finish, everything went flawlessly. What we particularly liked was the who came to our house to explain the process before we decided to buy, took plenty of time to explain what would be done, the pricing, what we could expect to get in cost savings...everything. We had plenty of questions & he answered them all. There was no pressure to sell the equipment; he just explained everything, told us not to rush into it but read through the paperwork he left with us, & call them back if we decided to go through with it.
We went with Auric principally due to their low-pressure sales approach and reviews online. We called a couple of their referrals who couldn't say enough good things about them. Next came the inspection; their guys crawled all over the roof & attic, inspected all our wiring & main junction box, showed us a few options with panel placement, & gave us firm quotes (the original quote was ballpark, as they didn't know how many panels, roof condition, etc). They explained that 2 roof vents would have to be moved & recommended the interior of the roof inside the attic be reinforced, but that was all included in the quote. They said if we needed a new service panel yo accommodate the extra circuit breakers, that would be free, they would take care of everything.
Install took them 2 days; One day inside the stifling attic(it was June, must have been 120 in there) installing strengthening timbers & putting down the framework for the solar panels; the second installing the panels, wiring them up & connecting the array to a net metering box (so we could sell excess power back to the power company) & to our home service panel. I wanted to install a 50A pedestal outlet for our RV, & the Auric electrician ran the thick 4-guage cable for me while he had the service panel open - I just paid for cable & circuit breakers.
It took Rocky Mountain Power a week to "activate" the net metering box, but as soon as they did, we saw a 48% drop in our power consumption. They had forecast about 40% over the year, and when winter came, with cloudy weather & snow on the panels, it dropped considerably, but averaging out over the whole first year it came to 42.6%.
At the beginning, they had offered interest-free financing for the first year, then a roll-over to a ARM HELOC, then our savings over the year & the tax rebates would help pay the remaining loan - our monthly savings exceeded the proposed monthly payments. We decide to cash-flow the balance after the first year, but it was nice to know we didn't have to, it was all set up & we were pre-approved before anything started.
