Review for Lifetime Solar Solutions

still waiting....

I initially went with Lifetime and contracted in late May. I was told my system would be up and running by July 4 weekend. I understand these are estimates but that date came and went, and my initial 50% down payment of $12,500 was just sitting there. The actual install was done by City Electric in mid-August. I wasn't too impressed with the subcontractor as there was trash in my yard and cigarette butts on my roof after they finished the install. Lifetime then took their second 50% payment and oddly I have not gotten much out of them since. I had to call THEM and ask when i'm gonna start getting something for my money, and was told I have to call Xcel and ask them when the meter will be installed. Seems to me that for $25,000 they could do that for me but apparently not. Since they got paid I haven't gotten squat from them for customer service. Emails have gone unanswered, phone calls hurried me off the line. Its now September 5th and still nothing. Calling Xcel will be a chore because of my work schedule but what choice do I have? Maybe by Thanksgiving? Be careful about the promises made if you go with these guys!
