Meticulous Installation at a Reasonable Price

I'll start off by saying that having grown up in a general contractor family, I'm an extremely picky customer when hiring contractors for any work on my home. After a year of researching solar and potential installers, I solicited quotes from several installers. A friend recommended Sunshine Energy to me and gave a glowing review. I worked with the Dan (the owner) to design a solar system to power my home and ditch the electric company. Unlike all the other companies where you dealt with sales reps (instead of the licensed installer), there was absolutely no sales pressure at any point during the process. I was concerned generally about the possibility of roof leaks and wanted to make sure that that any conduit would be installed to minimize visibility on the outside of my home. Dan gave me a detailed description of the roof racking installation process and explained to me how he would route the conduit through my garage so it would be hardly noticeable. He told me that he would "treat my home like it was his own." We recently completed the installation and he delivered on that promise. Everything was installed in a meticulous fashion. They even painted all the conduit in my garage to match my wall color without me even having to ask. Their price was in the lowest tier of the installers I received quotes from and the quality was the best I've seen from any of my friends that have solar. They even installed an EV outlet for my car charger as part of the project. Now I have a 7.6kwh system with 26 Canadian Solar panels (only 5 are visible from the street) that covers all our usage with an immediate savings over what I was paying to Edison. We went with the SE 7600 inverter with optimizers. They also installed and set up a Wattnode consumption meter to the system that I picked up on Ebay at no additional cost, which allows me to monitor both production and consumption data in the SolarEdge monitoring systems.

After seeing my install, my neighbor (who used the Big Co. who stalks you at Home Depot) regrets not heeding my advice to use Sunshine Energy after Big Co. pulled a bait and switch on the inverter he was supposed to get and did a shoddy install. I'm too nice to tell him, "I told you so", but I'll say it here. I did tons of research on solarpaneltalk, com and educated myself very well. I recommend Dan and Sunshine Energy without hesitation.
