I have been involved in business in the US for the last 45 years and St Croix for 12 years. I've never been treated as poorly in this period as i have by Larry Aldrich owner of VI Solar Depot. His company installed a 46 panel solar system on my home in St Croix. The installation went smoothly. When it was complete 17 panels would not work. after numerous phone calls problem seemed to be resolved. In the 6 months since this same set of panels stopped working multiple times. I was told of some interference problem and.would need to turn system off and turn back on and it would work again until the next glitch. My problem is that we go off island for extended periods and when this glitch appears no one is there to turn it off and back on. I believe this is a defect. Most recent occurrence i had a long exchange via text messages with his daughter Tami who has been professional all through this. I expressed my belief that there was a defect in installation. She apparently was having discussion with Larry during this exchange and she related to me more or less that this was my problem not theirs and I said BS and she then gave me Larry's contact info. I called him and hardly said a word before he called me a liar and and a MF'r numerous times. I strongly advise anyone contemplating using the services of VI Solar Depot to go elsewhere. BTW, this is the first time in my life that I have been motivated to write a negative review on anyone I've done business with. I paid them over $30,000 for this system.
