By way of background, we live in a coastal home I designed in 1970 and have always sought renewable energy improvements. In the late 70's oil crisis, we installed a solar domestic hot water system as well as a wind turbine, fireplace insert, additional multiple glazing, and other energy saving enhancements at our all-electric home (the world was then supposed to be going nuclear electric!).<br /><br />The solar system was great on payback, but got severely corroded in our ocean atmosphere after nearly 40 years. We contacted ReVision Energy, which had recently installed a roof PV system at our daughter's house in Maine. They assessed our system and recommended only replacement of the components that would bring it up to contemporary standards. Primary were the exterior panels. They went the extra mile to reproduce the basic dimensions of our original rack so the custom wood enclosure could be reused. Interior expansion tanks and controls were also completely updated.<br /><br />ReVision Energy personnel handled all the research and paperwork for MA state rebates. Their installation was efficient, and on schedule, and they kept a clean work site. They explained operation clearly, and we have had no issues in our first year.<br /><br />I recommend ReVision Energy to anyone installing or updating a solar domestic hot water system, and am sure they excel with all renewable energy initiatives.
