I initiated the contact in mid Oct 2025, first through a direct line my real estate agent provided and through Tesla website. The direct line to my rep Grant was a lot more helpful and responsive. (The response from online form came late and was shoddy.) Most of the process wasn't too involved but the whole thing takes way too long. The initial survey was rescheduled TWICE, which wasted my agent & my time, because the surveyor wasn't even in the area on first appointment and then they needed access to the roof on the second appointment, which I wasn't told so (house was not closed yet). After finally getting that survey in mid-November, the next mess up was the install. Throughout the process from the start, I got text affirmation that the install would be done by year's end. The install was rescheduled, then half of it was postponed a week, so the total complete install didn't finish until early Jan 2026, after the new year--not satisfying since this now creates tax credit uncertainty. As of today, the system is still not yet turned on. I'm still waiting for a new meter install from the energy company, heading into February, with no set date on when I can finally use the solar system I paid a lot of money for. Overall, I can't say it was a good experience as a whole. Kudos to Grant though.
