Very bad

This was the worst experience I have had with a vendor. I ordered my system 12/9/2024. It was not installed and functional until 12/31/2025. You should be very careful to understand their rating. Understand that about 10% of the time people are not pleased. Do you want to risk a project of this size with 10% odds of it going poorly? It is hard to describe everything that went wrong over the course of more than a year. Here is some of the summary: 1. The engineering process has a lot of people who do not actually understand the rules. deciding how things would be laid out on our house wall was difficult, and then when the installers arrived, they said the design would not work. 2. They never are proactive. The only way for things to move forward is to email and call. As an example, today I got a Permission to Operate Granted email from them. I received the email from SCE over a week ago. They then give many instructions on what to do. It is a lot to read, and buried in there is the most important instruction to go in the Tesla app and flip the permission to export switch. You have to learn and figure everything out on your own. If you don't do this, you are literally losing money. 3. They tried to get me to sign up for the SGIP program saying it was just free money. This is simply not true. SCE does not give money away for free. I was educating them on the system and the costs to the end user. 4. They sent a survey where I complained. They have never responded. 5. Once my design was completed and they got a $14K payment. Right after they told me they could not get batteries for 4-6 months. 6. We tried changing to a different manufacturer (Tesla to Enphase) to speed things up. They sold me a system that SCE had not approved and could not be installed. We had to revert back. 7. The initial battery sizing was so far off we had to double the capacity. I wanted to be able to run through the night on batteries. This was not possible with one battery. 8. We finally got City approval for the system, and it took another 3 weeks just to get an install date. 9. I referred a friend at the beginning of the relationship. You are supposed to be compensated if you do this. They have never paid me. I can go on and on. They are all nice enough people, but the systems and processes that NRG have are truly terrible. You might get lucky, you might not.
