Subject: Formal Complaint and Request for Resolution – Incomplete & Mishandled Project I am writing to formally document a series of serious issues with my installation and to request that this project be brought to a proper and complete resolution. 1. Failure to Coordinate Utility Marking Your team failed to initiate the required call to have underground utilities marked. This oversight was discovered only two days before the scheduled installation, forcing a postponement of more than six weeks during peak production season. This delay was entirely avoidable and occurred through no fault of my own causing me financial loss. 2. Roof Measurement Errors and Unprofessional Conduct Your company mismeasured our roof, resulting in two unnecessary panels. Those panels were installed flat on an adjacent roof. We requested their removal, as this was not an acceptable long-term solution for our home. While the installer was initially professional, his behavior later changed dramatically. Behind my wife’s back, he became verbally abusive, aggressively swearing about our request. This behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, and completely unwarranted. The removal of the incorrectly installed panels caused another six-week delay in system approval—again during prime production months—resulting in direct loss to us. 3. Post-Payment Support Breakdown & Missing CT Monitoring Once payment was complete, meaningful support effectively ceased. When attempting to set up the monitoring app, I discovered that my system lacks CT (Current Transformer) monitoring, meaning I cannot see usage, grid export, or net consumption—only production. This was never disclosed as optional or excluded. In fact, your sales representative explicitly stated that CTs were part of the system when feasible. Your customer service says I would needed to have signed a waiver to exclude them which I did not. Multiple internal explanations have since been given: I was told trenching exceeded 1,400 feet (demonstrably false; it is under 200 feet). Then I was told 200 feet was the cutoff. Then 100 feet. My contract shows I paid for 166 feet of trenching, well within the initial threshold mentioned. Despite repeated inquiries: No one can explain why CTs were not installed The lead project manager cannot provide an answer Internal staff have suggested the omission may have been due to convenience rather than feasibility This lack of clarity, consistency, and accountability is deeply concerning. Conclusion Given the delays, errors, unprofessional conduct, and missing system functionality, I consider this project incomplete. A reputable company would take ownership of these failures and work to make the customer whole. To date, that has not happened. I am requesting: A clear explanation for the absence of CT monitoring, not one based on how to get out of it Installation of CTs if technically feasible (as represented during the sale) Acknowledgment of the delays and errors caused by your team A path forward to resolve this matter without escalation I would prefer to resolve this directly and professionally. However, if these issues remain unaddressed, I will have no choice but to pursue further remedies. I look forward to your prompt response.
