Read your contract!

In all my 50 years of home ownership I have never written a poor review and believe I have given Trinity every chance to connect with us to make things right but the company (minus one very conscientious employee, who kindly always calls us back, but has no authority in what we need) has disappointed us following a good installation. We knew we would need to replace our roof within five years of installation and upon asking what the cost would be to remove the panels, we, without hesitation, agreed to have the solar panels put on about 5 years ago. The removal cost was low enough that it would be worth it once we need needed a new roof. We should have been sure it was in the contract because now that we need a new roof, they are charging $6000 for the panels to be removed. Though there was one gentlemand, Zach, who assured us he would be the one to help us get this figured out, he has ignored all of our calls in the last month or so and our roofer is looking to replace our roof this month. I couldn't be more disappointed with their lack of communication at this point. We have been very respectful, simply asking them to consider that this price is significantly higher than their sales person (who does not work for the company anymore) had quoted us. I still hope to hear from them but we are losing hope.
