If you are considering becoming a Solar customer, do everything possible to not have Sunnova Energy Corporation service your account. I have been a Solar customer for one year, and while I am pleased to be, hopefully, contributing to the environment by utilizing the power of the sun to power my home, the customer service I have received from Sunnova, has been a headache. I am able to monitor the production of my system via an app on my phone. I reported that one of the panels on my home was only producing at 57% of what the other panels were producing. Obviously, I expect ALL panels to produce at the promised output. I reported the issue in April of this year. 2 months later, June 18th, Sunnova finally sent a technician. He acknowledged there was an issue and worked on the system for approximately 2 hours. He never corrected the issue. Now Sunnova will not stand behind their technician’s inability to correct the issue and are refusing to correct the panel that is not producing at normal performance. I have spoken, and emailed, with 5 different representatives that refuse to do anything to correct the panel, despite the app on the phone clearly showing the panel at 57%. I did not pay to have any of the panels not performing as promised. Now in August, it has been over 4 months and this is the kind of customer service Sunnova provides to their customers. I am a senior citizen residing in Florida and there are laws to protect companies from taking advantage of senior citizens. I will be reporting Sunnova to whatever agency I have to. If you want to not experience the same lack of customer service I have, do everything in your power to avoid this company!
