Suncommon burned our house down and won’t give us a refund for their improper installation. My husband and I purchased Solar Panels from Suncommon at the end of 2021 and they were installed in March of 2022. On May 24th, 2023 a fire broke out where the solar panels were connected to our electrical panel, causing such extensive damage to our home that we were displaced for over a year while the entire house was basically rebuilt. After a three-month investigation (slowed down by Suncommon’s lawyers), it was determined that Suncommon improperly installed our solar panels, causing the wiring to overheat and start the fire . We are finally back in our home, but we are still paying off the loan on those panels that sit on our roof doing nothing, while also paying our electric bills because Suncommon will not refund us for the panels and installation. We’ve been given estimates telling us it will cost between $7000 and $9000 just to remove the panels from the roof, and Suncommon has not only wasted our time and money with depositions to avoid payment, but they also declared bankruptcy and requested a “stay” in our case. This company is awful and they’ve put us through hell. We are just praying that they do the right thing and reimburse us.
