We have been in the solar installation business for 15 years. In that time we have only had manufacturer induced solar panel failure once. When 40% of the modules in a given array fail, most manufacturers consider it a five alarm fire; and immediately move to support the customer; not Astronergy: Astronergy had us send two solar panels back to China for evaluation. The report came back (25 pages of it) noting that "Thunder" had damaged the modules, and that they would not be covered under warranty. We went ahead and replaced the customer's array, and proceed to take the effected modules to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) for evaluation. The bottom line: NREL believes the entire "report" was faked. These are poor quality panels made by a company with Abysmal customer service and integrity. We were a distributor of Astronergy modules in the U.S.A for years and have run into a warranty issue. I have not been able to get a hold of an Astronergy employee in any country to help me with this issue. U.S. phone number is incorrect, U.S. sales rep will not reply to my emails....... read more
