Unlimited Solar-Out of Business

Do not trust them. This company went out of business to avoid liabilities with existing customers and opened another solar company with a very similar name. Solar energy works, but please stay away from this people. Work with somebody else.

Very very disappointed service no response from unlimited solar service or Titan service department are very bad service never go with them and I never recommend for nobody to go with them. I have complained 1 month ago my solar system is not producing electricity and no one can help me to the right department to fix my issues.

I have been trying to get answers for the last 5 months from these people. Nobody answers the phones, or returns your call after leaving many messages. Poor workmanship that causes call backs that cause more bad workmanship.

On 12-21-20 I paid Unlimited Solar for two solar batteries and installation a total of $20,000. I was told by the salesperson, Maurice King, that I needed to pay the contract amount in full before 2021 in order to take the solar federal tax deduction, so I did. As of today, 10-13-21 Unlimited Solar has not provided me with the Tesla solar batteries or installation. After repeated calls and messages, most of which went unanswered, I was told during the summer that the Tesla batteries were not available and I should take the Enphase batteries instead. Then I was told that would require a new county permit which could take months. During that time, I had to keep calling for updates, but was always told they are “waiting on the permit.” I was finally given the date of October 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM for my battery installation. No one came. I called the salesperson and the office. I was told by the office that they had to cancel the installation for October 5 and that they don’t have the batteries, never once notifying me of this in advance. That was the last straw. I did some research and found a neighbor who had used the same company That day, I walked to their house and met them. They had an installation of solar and Tesla batteries this February 2021 by the same company, Unlimited Solar. I paid in full before they paid, and they received their batteries. I did not. At this time, it appears that Unlimited Solar has no intention of fulfilling their contract and is using my money instead to float their business. Several weeks ago, I was contacted by a lady in Delray. My name was given as a customer referral. It appears they are still signing up customers although they do not fulfill orders. They are engaging in fraud. I am going to file a police report for fraud against the owner of Unlimited Solar, Justin C. Talmadge. It seems he runs several businesses registered at the Florida Department of Corporations, including some Christian “ministries.” I have already opened a complaint to the BBB. I am a retired elementary school teacher on a small Florida retirement pension. I can’t afford to lose a large sum of money like this and I do not accept being disrespected by these people.

Great in the beginning when they are selling you their product. But they DO NOT keep their promises. We were promised a TESLA battery, but later told we were going to get a "better" battery. It's been a year and we have NO BATTERY! We can't get anyone to answer the phone a personal contact number we were given or return our calls.

On 10/10/2019 I signed a contract with Unlimited Solar. My system was designed based on an annual system usage of 19,488 KWH. I provided them the following pool heater information: Aqua Cal SQ145- 119,000 BTU’s, running approximately 14 hours a day, maintaining a 90 degree temperature, and running the pool for 10 months out of the year. Engineer calculated two (2) additional panels for the pool heater. My system of 8.25 KW for a total of 22 panels would be sufficient. System is under performing and only produced 11,955 KWH and with the addition of the pool heater my system used 27,066 KWH for the year. Unlimited Solar refuses to rectify the problem advising a proposal of 13,387 was agreed. Proposal was not signed by me but the contract I signed stated 22 panels 375 watts based on annual usage of 19,488 KWH. Contract states if under performing additional panels would be installed at no cost. Total cost of system was $45,621 with a promise of no electric bill. Paying monthly FPL bill. I hope this complaint is addressed and that I am made whole. I reviewed my contract and it does not state an estimated annual usage, which I find misleading in itself. My annual usage before the system was installed was 19,488. The solar system only produced 11,955 KWH and with the addition of the pool heater my system used 27,066 KWH for the year. At the very least, additional solar panels are needed to cover my original usage of 19,488 and additional panels would cover the remaining balance from 27,066. Unlimited Solar refuses to contact any of their customers until complaints are filed with an attorney or with the Better Business Bureau. If every one of my co-workers along with myself are having issues, then the work program to calculate a solar system was wrong or the engineer who calculated the system was wrong. Remember I was promised only a $10 monthly bill, now I am paying for the solar panels and a monthly bill which puts me over my original monthly FPL bill of $200 on budget billing. I did write an original review of 5 stars but after a year of waiting and the lack of communication, I would NOT recommend this company. The only reason this complaint is not longer is because of the number of characters I am allowed to write in this review

Caveat Emptor One year update (1/28/21) - After over a year since my panels and other energy improvements were installed, I am disappointed in Unlimited Solar. Solely because the Sales Person (Andrew H, who is no longer with Unlimited Solar), sold me the solar system & energy improvements along with a "guarantee" that it would eliminate my FPL energy consumption after one year and purchase of additional energy improvements along with the panels. If not, Unlimited Solar would install more panels at no cost. Sounded too good to believe then and now. Before I signed the agreement I asked Andrew H on the phone to confirm the "guarantee" and he verbally said yes, but only after 1 year and if I purchase the energy improvements along with the panels. Before I signed the agreement, I emailed Andrew and to re-confirm the "guarantee" and again he confirmed the "guarantee" but only one year of working panels. It's been over a year, at best the solar & energy improvements have cut my bill by 40%. Which is great; however, that is not what Unlimited Solar sold me. I called numerous times asking about that "guarantee" and was told by the office staff they would follow up with Sales, but they did not know anything about that "guarantee" and, even though Andrew H was no longer with Unlimited Solar, they would call him to confirm. I forwarded Unlimited Solar email confirmation from Andrew as evidence, but no response. (Note: Mr. Hopta is now at a company called Urban Solar). I was not expecting Unlimited Solar to install 60% more panels, but I was expecting they call me back out of courtesy and try to do something to make up for this shady and unethical sales practice. I must add that I did not have any problems with the installation team. They were prompt, courteous and professional. Which is another reason I am surprised.

We had our panels installed for several months now and are blown away by how efficient they are! Our utility bill went from >$350/month to $20 (for net-metering and surge protection). Unlimited was always prompt with inquiries and the whole experience from initial consultation to final inspection was seamless. If any issues arose, they were quickly addressed. We had several installers come out for quotes and the professionalism, price, and personalized care set Unlimited above the rest. We also appreciate that they are local and cater only to our region. Would highly recommend Unlimited Solar!

Our solar was installed in September in a timely and professional manner. We had the panels and ten kilowatt backup battery installed. Our system is seven kilowatts powered by nineteen panels. On a sunny day we generate more energy than we use. Our electric bill now averages twenty to thirty dollars. So glad we took the step to solar.

Bryce Johnson maintained a professional relationship with a very friendly approach while displaying a thorough knowledge of the product and benefits of the solar installation.

I wanted to find a company that would keep me updated and informed about my installation. Unlimited Solar is by far the best company I have dealt with. The staff would update me on my project, and made sure that I fully understood everything about my install. When the crew came out to my property they were professional,and very sweet. Customer service is very important, and I can honestly say that I was beyond satisfied with their work. I would definitely recommend Unlimited Solar to all those who are thinking about going solar. It is good to know that I will be saving money on my electrical bill and helping the environment at the same time.

We went with RB Green Energy because of a personal relationship with Scott S. When we have called with issues he tells us to direct it to the office. The office then directs us to him. When you call him again, he says "You should have told me sooner". His products cost double the competition but he assured us that they were so much better, more effective, and would serve us in the long run. Additionally, the price quoted as saving us $210/month has ended up costing us $103 more per month for the solar than it was without it. Granted it is an overall home improvement, but the numbers did not add up and the lack of integrity has been a lot to have to sit with. Since the installation (2 months after initial scheduling), we have had our roof tiles broken, we have experiences roof and interior ceiling leaks due to destruction of roof flashing, and we have had to chase them, threaten them, and badger them to get them to fix it. It has required non-stop phone calls to the office and listening to a lot of jabber-jaw nonsense to obtain approval for repairs. While they accepted responsibility, it required me finding my own repair company (which still has not been paid 3-weeks later) and now we are still waiting for the roof repairs. Should be today. now that I have CC'd my attorney on our correspondence. We shall see. Additionally, Our solar panels, 13 of them, have been laying on our roof and on the side of our house, NOT CONNECTED, providing NO SOLAR POWER while we pay almost $400 in escrow per month for RB Green Energy, for the horrendous service...and now after awaiting a report of how much we will be reimbursed for the inactivity of the panels for over 2-months! Their very generous offer of $141...that's what they are reimbursing us. It will likely take them 4-months to authorize the check. The initial installation (we started paying in September) took over 2-months and we have been unhappy with the service since signing the documents to do business with RB Green Energy. This is not how you treat customers! Especially, when we met as friends to do business. B.S.!!! They get paid no matter what...so once your loan is approved, there is no accountability, with no risk to themselves, they can do whatever they want once the contracts are signed. Do your own research! Ask for the best panels! Get the right installer! AND BE ADVISED!!! THE $10k TAX WRITE OFF DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE!

Best teams ever! Truly assisted me with the entire project so touched and moved by three girls in particular Melissa, Diana, and Irlyzz! Awesome strong team! I went to the headquarters for assistance with my net metering application felt as if I were family! Truly amazing team would hightly recommend RB Green Energy to all of my friends! RB Green Energy did a great job with our solar installation. It was completed ahead of schedule and very professional company. I would definitely recommend this company if you are looking to go solar.

Maurice was very professional providing clear presentation and answering all questions simply and clearly. No sales pressure and very knowledgeable on Solar Systems.

RB Green Energy really delivered on their promise to provide excellent customer service throughout the process, from the salesman, customer service through permitting and engineering, the site survey, the recommendations they made to me on how to reduce my energy consumption before going solar (through the use of LED lamps, smart thermostats that the gave me as a signing bonus, insulation, etc), etc.

It work prefect. I now they stand behind their work. We solar electric and water for the house. We had solar heat added to our swimming pool. They also reduced the close of air conditioning by adding a heat reflector in our roof, plus solar fans to cool it off when hot and stay off when it cool. So truly was a complete solar job. Where they can monitor it and YOU Too can monitor it on a phone or PC. This was all done in a timely fashion and professional done. They stand behind there products. Products and work are hurricane rated. It was a good investment

The solar representative showed me how the solar panels could be placed on my roof and provide electrical power to my home. Any excess electrical power that was generated by the panels would be fed back into the grid and I would earn credits for my contribution. It sure sounded like a good idea and I agreed to go ahead with the project. A site survey team came out and measured my roof and an engineer created a plan to proceed. They took care of all the permitting and made necessary arrangements with Florida Power & Light. The installers took just a couple days to install the system and they were very friendly and respectful while at my home. They were also neat and clean and never left any trash on my property which was very nice. They took care of all the inspections and certifications throughout the process. I was continually informed of all progress during the installation process through phone calls from the office. It was a very good feeling to have the continual contact from the office during all the phases of the work being performed. When all the work was finished, the final inspections approved, and the final connection to the power grid was set in motion, I was amazed at the sudden drop in cost of my FPL bill. I should have done this a long time ago. It is absolutely the future of the planet. Most of all, RB Green Energy has provided a friendly, efficient and smooth transition to help me do my own little part towards a greener planet for all of us to enjoy. Thank you, RB Green Energy.
