We were burnt by a previous solar company that went bankrupt mid-job so I was looking for an established company I could trust that would be more hands on. Tick Tock was everything I was wanted and then some. We live a couple hours away from their headquarters, but they never made an issue of the distance and were always available to answer questions quickly and professionally. They were great about handling my notoriously slow local permitting process and stayed on the city and utility till they completed the final inspections and I was able to turn on the array. They’re tech support is easy to work with and quick to get back to you with answers to even the silliest questions. I’ve already recommended them to a several friends in the area who are solar curious!

James and Mark took the time to meet with me and walk through the various options of different system designs and components. They carefully listened to our expectations and needs and designed a system that didn't just meet but exceeded our expectations for cost savings. Mark walked the project through from design to installation to testing and final approval. He made sure everything was working as it should and took the time to explain everything along the way. I had a lot of questions, and every one was thoughtfully considered and answered. Everyone at Tick Tock has the same approach to taking care of their customers, not just selling systems.

I heartily recommend Tick Tock Energy, Inc. for your solar energy needs. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable, truthful, informative, and professional. I asked tons of questions and always received accurate answers. (I tend to verify facts with further research.) Tick Tock gathered and assisted with all the tedious paperwork. When my system was installed, my desire for total social distancing was completely respected. We communicated by cell phone whenever there was a question. The most fun part for me was because we had decided to include a hard-wired connection to the internet and I chose not to have anyone enter my house. The installer stood outside the house and I was inside. We talked to each other by cell as he pushed the Cat 6 cable through the wall. I'm sure it would have been faster and easier for him to do it himself, but he patiently walked me through the process. He sent in enough cable so that I was able to drop my end back outside the window so he could add the connector to it. And before the day was over, I was watching the graph on my computer tracking my energy production. It is so exciting to look out at my solar panels and know that I am helping reduce atmospheric carbon for my children and grandchildren's future, and with a bonus of a reduced electric bill.

We installed our solar system in 2019. It became operational in late June. When looking for an installer, we received bids from several companies. Tick Tock was very professional and provided a very detailed proposal. I had a lot of questions and they answered them all. From the salesman, to the accountant, to the Production manager, to the installation team, to the President of Tick Tock, nothing but professionalism was shown to us. They were very accommodating and designed a 64 panel system with dual Solar Edge inverters. We installed the panels on our barn. Prior to our install, they contacted us to let us know the original panels we picked were delayed and provided us with a couple of alternative panels, providing all the information and changes necessary. Again, I was impressed with their professionalism. The owner even communicated with me several times to address my questions. Once works started, they made quick work of installing the system. We we very pleased with the installation. The panels look great, and the inverters look nice on the back of our garage. It took a few days before the co-op completed their final inspection, but Tick Tock came as soon as the co-op we're ready. System has performed well. We didn't have an electric bill until last month. With the lack of sun the past couple of months, we used up our surplus. I fully expect that this will be the last year that will happen since we were not up and running for the full summer. Our net metering year starts back with the April billing. Tick Tock also did everything for our Illinois APB SRECs which was appreciated. We also qualified for the federal tax credit. We also really like the app which allows us to monitor our system. I have had a few questions since the installation and Tick Tock has answered them all. As said, Tick Tock has been very professional and provided great service. We would definitely recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again.

Could not be any happier with the overall project. The entire staff was very thorough and professional in every aspect. The process was very smooth from start to finish and even when unexpected challenges popped up with our home being the first to have solar in our town, Tick Tock Energy took the lead to quickly resolve any issues with ordnance concerns or working with the city. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone who is interested in solar projects large or small.

My daughter and I both had systems installed with solar panels on the roofs and in other equipment in our basements of our houses. The installations were well done, quickly, neatly, with solid materials and quality construction techniques. The systems have been working well practically flawlessly. After a little over one month, we can already see the savings on our electric bills. I had an EMP proof system installed with battery backup. My daughter already had natural gas backup so she has the standard Tick Tock Energy, Inc. inverter/controller system without battery backup. I obtained the new technology batteries that do not emit any gases (no hydrogen) nor do they require any maintainence so they are safe for the basement environment without any fire or explosion risk.

Before deciding on a company to install solar panels on my house roof, I did an online search, and talked with several. companies that service my area. Several of the companies do solar installation as a small part of their business. Not many had much information on their website. The prices of installation and the number of panels they recommended varied. The only company that stood out in my assessment, was Tick Tock Energy. Not only does their website have a lot of information, but they had posted a number of videos online to explain where they are getting the panels and the quality and durability of the panels they install. Since this was a big investment, I had a lot of questions. I wanted to make sure that the panels installed would provide enough energy to power not only all my current appliances, but also an electric furnace and water heater if I have them installed in the future. Tick Tock estimated, on the basis of the electricity I had used in the previous year as shown in my electrical bills, that I would need a 5.68 kWp system - 16 panels. A couple other companies with which I spoke, estimated I would need a system that produced over 7 kWp. The installation cost estimates by the other companies were also higher than the estimate by Tick Tock. So I discussed with Tick Tock whether I would need the higher power system, but the man who gave me the estimate detailed why, with the energy I had been using in the previous year, the system he was proposing would be more than adequate for my needs in the present and future. I had a lot of other questions as well, throughout the process of making a decision about which company to choose. Tick Tock had the information I needed. I also noted that their reviews online were uniformly high. I next contacted several of the referrals I was given by Tick Tock of customers who had had panels installed by them in recent years, and all of them indicated that they were very satisfied with the systems installed, and with the help they had been given by Tick Tock on an ongoing basis. When I received the proposed contract, I consulted with my lawyer, who reviewed the contract and approved it, and I signed it. It took a while for the system to be installed, with other work the company was committed to, and took a while for it to be approved by the electrical inspector and for Ameren to install the new meter. My system went into operation in December 2017, and I am now producing more energy than I use, with the excess going into the grid for energy credits. I have had other questions in the months that my system has been operating, and I continue to be able to reach and talk with staff and to get assistance as needed. I am highly satisfied with the knowledge, expertise, and helpfulness of the people who own and operate Tick Tock, and am glad that I chose them to install solar panels on my roof. I highly recommend this company.

We have dealt with many contractors over the years, and Tick Tock Energy, Inc. has proved to be the best. Management and their employees exhibited professionalism. They were knowledgeable about solar systems and helped us to complete the paperwork. The completion cost was the same as the bid estimate. It was a pleasure working with the people at Tick Tock and will use them again for our next solar system.

WE had great service. We are very pleased at how our panels are working. For the last 3 months we have had no electric bill. Eric was very good at explaining things to us and if he didn't know the answer to our questions he would find out and get right back to us so we could make our decision. Tick Tock Energy did a very professional installation of my ALL SUN solar panel tracker. They submitted an application for an Illinois state grant, which I received. They were able to get it installed before the first of the next year so I could get my federal tax credit for 2013. Any problems that I had, they were great in getting them fixed in a timely manner. I am very happy with my solar panels as they are producing more electricity than I am using. I would highly recommend their services to everyone.
