WARNING: Do not use this company. I contracted Sunbility to install a Tesla solar system with dual Powerwall 2 batteries. Sunbility subcontracted the electrical work to another company. What followed was over a year of delays, broken promises, and ultimately a system that was never properly commissioned. The installation was supposed to be completed in June of last year. It took until this week — more than 12 months later — for the system to even be turned on, and only after I contacted Tesla directly and paid out of pocket to hire a second solar company to diagnose the problem. For over a year, I paid for equipment sitting on my roof and walls doing almost nothing: suboptimal solar production, no Powerwall backup, no monitoring, and batteries that were never activated. Commissioning was never completed. Now that Tesla has partially activated the system, it remains misconfigured. When I contacted Sunbility for resolution, they were slow to respond to my requests and to return to address the issues. This is not a minor issue — it's a complete failure to deliver a contracted service over more than 12 months. I am now pursuing further action. Do your research before signing anything with this company.

Avoid Sunbility at all costs! It is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Here is my tale of woe: Eight years ago Sunbility installed a solar array on my roof. The pitch was that the solar would generate around $120 in electricity per month, enough to service the $25,000 loan I took out to pay for the installation. My solar array stopped working in July 2024, I started calling Sunbility regularly because I was losing money. No answer, no answer, no answer. Meanwhile I am still paying the bank $115/month and getting zero reduction in my electricity bill. I called on average once a week for the next EIGHTEEN months. Usually no one answered the phone at all. Occasionally a hapless employee picked up, but had no answer other than to say someone would get back to me. No one ever got back to me. I’ve lost at this point over $1500, and I am still paying $115/ month for the loan. Finally last summer after I posted a scathing review, Sunbility called. They would have a tech look at the system for $400. I coughed up the dough and eventually some service reps from the manufacturer showed up. The techs agreed to replace the inverter. FOUR MONTHS later two young Latino workers with limited English arrived to install the new inverter. At this point I expected Sunbility to apologize and waive installation fees. I was after all now out over $2000 because of their inability to fulfill the service warranty in our contract. Instead I got an invoice for another $350. No apology. No acknowledgement of my frustration. I refused to pay the bill and Sunbility cut off my ability to communicate with the solar system. That is where things stand right now. I’m considering litigation if anyone wants to join me.

HORRIBLE COMPANY. Seems like only one person works there. They are not helpful or reachable. I have the written warranty. They aren't honoring. Saying I have to service charge. Been over 5 months They said they couldn't get a crew to work in my area Palm Bay. Told me to email the owner. She won't reply. Can't get her business phone number. They do not follow the philosophy they have on their website. Won't even answer my texts anymore. IF THEY CLOS9NG WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO FOR SERVICE AND HELP?

We had leaks on two occasions as a result of the poor workmanship when the solar panels were installed. The first leak was repaired and we were reimbursed the money we put down in good faith before the repair. But the second time there was a leak (less than 5 years), we were charged double for a repair that was not seen until the subcontractors came out. The subcontractors confirmed that the leak was as a result of the initial installers not sealing their work properly and these areas where the water leaked in were not sealed at all. Again we paid what they asked in good faith and then they had the nerve to bill us for more costs. The owner Danielle Stallings is ignoring our calls to reimburse us for a leak that was their fault. I spoke with a professional installer and was told that a leak in this short of a time is the fault of the installers and lack of quality control. Our initial contract has written in it 20 year warranty against leaks.

Horrible company! do not waste your time or money! will not call you back or respond in any manner. ruined a tile roof and wont take responsibility, Do not even have the courtesy to call or email back!

Rip Off!!!

I was in partner contract with sunbility as a sales organization to bring solar jobs to them for installation. I racked up many jobs with them and they refused to pay me the commission I am rightfully owed after giving me excuse after excuse of why they couldn’t release funds to me. They currently owe me over $105,000 and will not return my calls. The last correspondence I had with them was back in December 2023. This has impacted myself, my family, and my business tremendously. The address they have on file is a P.O. Box. I sent a demand letter from my attorneys with no response. I am filing lawsuit this morning. Danielle Stallings is the owner and is a crook and I would advise any sales reps or sales organizations to steer clear of her and sunbility if you are looking to get on their epc installer program they offer. Not a good company. I would also recommend any customers steer clear as well as they will screw you over also. Read the reviews and do your own research. She used to own blue sky solar and changed the name to sunbility after they racked up a bunch of complaints. This woman is a snake and can not be trusted be advised if you have any dealings with them. If anyone else is having issues similar to mine please feel free to reach out to me and we can work together in bringing this cancer of a woman and black eye to the solar industry down.

We have had solar panels on our house from Sunbility for 4 years. Great company with competent and professional installers. Now planning to sell the house and the office has been great at explaining our options for next owners

This company is horrible they install an undeperfomance system in my house now I have 2 bills they did the same thing to 3 of my neighbors please do your research they're horrible.

Everything about the process was the worst.

They are awful to work with, the contractors they use are useless. My electricity bill barely got cut. I was paying $175, it reduced to $100. What a deal. They suck.

Horrible Company

Do yourself a favor and go with another company. Sunbility hired a third party company to do their work and they did a horrible job. There is now a giant hole in my ceiling because of the insulation put into my attic. They didn’t even suck out the old insulation like they were supposed to. When I brought this to Sunbilitys attention they promised they would take care of it. That was six weeks ago now and still nothing. Danielle, the CEO, made promises that never happened then said I stopped responding because I didn’t answer one call! This company doesn’t care about their product or their customers. All they care about is the money. I am also having issues with the solar panels not producing enough electricity yet no one has come to look at them. There are many reputable companies that stand behind their products and care about their customers, but this is not one of them. Find someone else for your sanity and homes sake.
