Where are they?

Obviously ethically challenged--I need information about the current status of my account with them. I expect nothing as they have cut and run and therefore are not to be trusted...and I don't. If I go to their Provo office will I find a trail? A new schlock phony company renting their office? A box of empty promises? I'm close enough that I may go look for them--if I get close, I'll bring a lawyer.

Solar panels

Solcius is a scam. They never serviced panels. Spending more on my bill and panels together. My panels never made enough energy to save money. The phone # Solcius is providing is not correct. Doesn’t even ring. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!

Screw us up

Man these guys really screwed us up. Went out of bussiness. Didnt tell customers. My system has not been working for 2 months. When you call no one anwers. If you contact the company that sold the system they wont do nothing unless you have a certified tech there with you. Anyone know who took over?

Jack | Las Cruces, NM | 03/30/2024

FRUSTRATED

This company has been a nightmare to work with. They never respond to my emails and if I was lucky enough to talk to someone they promised that someone would come out to work on my system. That never happened. I hope their will be a Class Action Lawsuit against this company.

Very disappointed customer | Santa Clara, UT | 02/07/2024

No Customer service

They don't care about customers. There's no after sale support. You can't get hold of them from phone, email or text. Nobody will get back to you. I regret deeply for not switching to another solar company. Too bad I can't give negative stars. One star is too much for them.

Brian Constant | Irvine, CA | 02/05/2024

Disappointed is an understatement.

We purchased our system over a year ago and it's only been operational for 2 months. It's currently dormant. During the last of 16 calls to you on January 29th, we were advised that we would be contacted with a schedule for service on the next day or two. No such luck. When we called again on February 5th a recorded message said that your phones were down! Our anxiety has increases accordingly. Please advise status.

Worst company I've ever worked with

Paying more now between the solar payment and electric bill than I've ever paid before. Was told that with the 150% offset, I will not pay anything. Can't get anyone from the company to respond to me. Would never recommend this company to anyone. Going to find out if any legal recourse can be taken.

Dave | Washington, UT | 01/07/2024

Can't get anyone to return calls

We had a system put in in 2022 and it failed in July of 2023. They tell me I need an optimizer (which they had in stock) but I can't not get another to come and install it or give me a date they will. Meanwhile I am having to rely on total electric while the money I spent goes to waste! It seems that once they get your money, they don't want to deal with you. I have been calling or e-mailing them since the middle of November and have yet to hear from anyone. I would definitely NOT refer them to anyone!

No production on system on wait phone almost 2 hours

My system stopped working a month ago and currently on the phone with a recording saying wait time less than 5 minutes but right now it's been 1 1/2 hours with no pick up. Very frustrated. I need my system to work here in California or I'm going to be paying hundreds of dollars a month!!

Extremely disappointed

I am extremely disappointed in solcius. I had non stop issues through the installation process,To turning it on, To all the lies of everything that they do not tell you. Extremely poor customer service. They always tell you they'll get back with you and then it'll be several days later with a text message they never call. I put $100,000 worth of solar panels on my roof. The first month they only produced 48 cents of electricity. I was told that it takes a month for them to start producing at full capacity. Now that a month is gone, now I'm being told it's 8 months before they are fully operational. So they are expecting me to be able to pay over $1,000 between solar panel loan and my electric bill for 8 months before my solar panels decide to start working. Also, I was told that the solar panels will produce electricity even if it's raining or they're snow.. now that I've had my first snowfall. The solar panels produce zero electricity during or after it snows. Next I am told I have to endanger my life and climb on a snow covered roof every single time it snows and remove the snow off of every single panel I have. I asked customer service if they would climb on their roof every single time it snowed and walk across the roof for an hour and she said absolutely not, but they expect their customers too. It is just one lie after another with this company. I'm at the point where I wish I could rip every solar panel off of my roof at their expense and have them take them all back and get out of my loan and never look at another solar panel again in my life. Don't trust the sales reps in this company. They will say what they have to to get a sale.

Don’t use Solcius!

I’ve had Solcius put in a system with battery and it only lasted for couple months before the battery failed (on July 1). It is covered under warranty but I’m still waiting for the replacement. Solar Edge claimed it has been sent but no one at Solcius knows what hold up is.

Find a Better Company that Stands Behind their Work!

I had my system installed in Dec 2018 and activated in Jan 2019. I just finished the replacement of my 4th inverter on my 5 year old system. Without fail, my inverter fails during early/mid-June and it takes 6-8 weeks to get the inverter replaced. Solcius says they will reimburse for lost production and not to worry about how long it takes to get the inverter replaced. I called today, after my system was down for 44 days and they offered me $25. My system is a 34 panel 10KWh system... $25 is insulting. The Solar Edge inverter they keep installing has been garbage as well. Super disappointed in the system and waste of time/money managing it.

Bad Just BAAAAD

Bad company!!! Your rep in NM tricked my elderly parents into purchase stating tax incentive even on Social security, NOT the case as that was the whole reason for the decision. Rep lied, misleading, misinformed or not educated about tax incentives on SSA income! Bad!!! Now they are stuck on a contract! Will pursue this along with other dissatisfied customers!!!!

HORRIBLE COMPANY & CUSTOMER SERVICE

DO NOT BUY SOLAR FROM SOLCIUS! WARNING! The CEO and employees have different versions of how they view Solcius from Horrible to, "I have to keep my job excuses". Install team hates the CEO and says he doesn't care a bit if complaints come in, he still makes his solar money! Audios of Solcius Customer Service telling me they feel Solcius owed us money for time loss and inconvenience charges". The saddest thing about this whole thing is that the CEO lives in an nice home where he doesn't have consequences for his actions and the TERRIBLE reviews of Solcius continue to pour in how terrible they are. I experienced the WORST company of a life time being Solcius Solar. Of course you will see every excuse in the book as a response after I write my review. I spent a whole year dealing with destruction of my property to almost our house catching on fire. The Solcius electricians shorted out our AC Unit and had to spend thousands of dollars to replace it. Solcius sent me a cashier's check to hire a new electrical company but refused to replace our AC unit blaming it on poor workmanship. The AC unit was working PERFECT before Solcius set foot on our property. The Executive Asst to the CEO said Solcius owed us money! The Customer Sales Reps said Solcius owed us money! The Install guys said Solcius screwed up bad! The GM of Solcius called me and apologized and said he would take care of me with reimbursements! All a lie! Electricians blew our microwave up and shorted out all the outlets including the AC unit. They left bare wires hanging out! (Have pictures). The install Supv agreed with shorting out our AC unit, but said his boss told him to blame the AC unit. He went on to say that he is not an AC guy but was told to report it as an AC issue. The install guys installed the inverter box in the wrong location of the property. Tucson Electric Power Company said Solcius screwed up! Much much more but to much to list! The sales Rep for Solcius said Solcius had so many accounts that went bad, but the CEO could care less! The install took forever with inside blaming and fighting going on at Solcius continuously finger pointing! I have 4 other customers of Solcius in Arizona that were paid out and screwed over by Solcius in workmanship, customer service, and install work. Solcius is going to laugh at this review because of the failure on their part. All I want is the CEO to pay me for the AC unit and inconvenience of me being without AC for 3 months in the middle of the summer in Tucson, Az at 100 plus temperatures. We were forced to stay at hotels and relatives homes. When Solcius sent a check to reimburse us for the electrical work they delivered it to the wrong neighborhood and caused another delay. I hope this message goes back to the CEO and understands as a retired law enforcement officer and serving Arizona for 25 years, you should be embarrassed of your company and the service that I received and I will spread this word for the rest of my life to people wanting solar to stay away from the Solcius Company! Send me HALF the money for the AC Unit and I will write the best review about Solcius making up for their mistakes! You know who I am Mr. CEO, Kelly Walker. Do the right thing and call me personally! That's all I ask for. I have NEVER hired an attorney because all I want is your call. I believed in your solar company and bought it, now do the right thing for me please! Robert G. Tucson, Az. Solcius Rating: HORRIBLE

Very frustrating and unprofessional

Very sad to pat to this company I hope everyone get away it is a scam. Very easy to sell the product AND get installed but NEVER worked since then(JAN 2023). Did not pass inspection. No one care about the time spent everyday to follow up and make payments for service never received. Promises are the easiest thing to hear it but you will never receive any compensation for your frustration or your hard work to follow on service that you are paying with no return. I am screwed up. Please step away from all of those people. IT IS A SCAM

Absolute Worst company around

My solar went down over a year ago. I was never notified being that I took the loan over three years ago when I purchased my house, this company states I never did a transfer, but I did and have been making payments for three years total now. They stated it was my fault that I didn’t pay attention to the energy productivity, but was never sent a manual or an app or any disclaimers. I’m still without solar. It has been over a year. The manufacturer has sent me the new inverter, and this company has been nowhere to be found or heard from for an install. I don’t recommend this place whatsoever. I’m stuck with a $3000 energy bill from Edison that Solcius states they will not cover what I should have produced through the year. If you’re looking into this company stay far far far away. I look forward to the lawsuit I’ll be dealing with coming for them since they’ve yet to fix my issue or send me any disclosures that state I am responsible.

Paying for something I’m don’t have

Started the process in May 2022, panels have been installed but haven’t pass inspection. Have been paying the loan and electricity bill since December 2022. Panels were installed in a different location according to the contract signed. Every time I contact customer service they say that they are working on it.

CDillon | Pomona, CA | 07/05/2023

Solcius Service is terrible

I was promised that the system would power the house, charge the battery and excess would go to grid. From day 1 of operation power went to grid only and I get power from grid to power house. I do not have control of battery pack like I was told and now my system is completely down from not syncing. The system has never worked right I called customer service and they will send a technician out in a few weeks. On top of that I was told the warranty may not cover service call.

Paying for electric and solar together!!! Beinf left in the dark

I have had solar panels on my roof since DEC 2022 and they have still not been turned on!!! PNM (electric company) keeps asking for a specific as-built application to be turned in. Solcius says they have, PNM says not true, solcius says that's a mistake, PNM says we can't do anything until they receive it, I ask solcius to do something and I keep asking for proof that they are trying to resolve the issue through email, its been 40+ days and no reply. I get random texts saying we're working on it but then you cant reply to those messages. I need help I can't pay for an additional loan and not actually receive what I paid for!

Bate and switch

I have been holding off on this review as I have had my system for over two years and must say have had good productivity. My complaints are the misleading statements that the sales and service personnel use. First I am seventy years old and confined to a wheelchair. When I was approached by the sales person she seemed knowledgeable and confident. My eyes aren't what they used to be and she lead me through the paperwork. It seemed above board until this last fall. I received a demand for payment of over ten thousand dollars as a balloon payment. I called Mosaic and inquired about this charge. They sent me a copy of the contract that I had signed and sure enough there was a little paragraph in the small print that set this payment out. When I was going through the paperwork with the sales person I kept asking about finance charges and interest etc. She assured me that the monthly payment would never increase and as long as I made the payments on time the price would never be more than the twenty five thousand or so. When I contacted Mosaic after payment on time of every monthly obligation for two years, I now owed thirty three thousand dollars. So in two years time after payments I owed eight thousand more than I started with. I stared called Solcius and after getting no intelligible response, started considering having the system removed. I was told that it was doable but I still would have the financial obligations. I then dug into my life savings and paid Mosaic off. I called Solcius back and told them that it was paid off and how long before I would see some profit from the system. They said that they kept the profit. I inquired about changing companies and I was informed that they could disconnect the system but it couldn't be just left because of permits and their policies. I asked about a battery backup system. I was quoted another twenty thousand dollars. Now when it was under financing I asked about battery backup and was told that it wasn't available. Since I purchased the system the company has changed hands and the tech and product support has been moved off shore and communications is next to impossible unless you speak some form of one of the Spanish dialects. If I knew then what I do now I would not have done business with this company. I would recommend that you research other options thoroughly before choosing this company. They are very good at passing the buck and not delivering unless you hold their feet to the fire and even then they will gouge you and lie to you.

Worst Customer Service - EVER

My system took 9 months to obtain PTO and they drilled holes in my wall they did not fix. I tried to get this corrected to no avail. When I got my final bill I let them know I wanted to dispute the charges for the following reasons: - Solcius did not install to the submitted plans - inspector denied - Solcius came out to correct and missed again - inspector denied - Solcius submitted new plans which did not match install - denied - Solicus corrected install but mis labelled - denied - Solcius re-submitted plans but did not change - denied - Finally got inspector to approved - Solcius submitted paperwork to utility - denied due to wrong paperwork - 2 more times this happened then PTO I got a call in which I was told Solcius was turning my solar off until I paid the final payment. They were unwilling to work with me. I would run from this company, period. They are the absolute worse company to work with.

Charged for a System that was Never Installed

I started working with My Smarthouse in May of 2022. I was originally told that my home was not approved in the system for solar, and that I would not be able to install solar panels. In August of 2022, I had someone knock on my door and ask to take pictures of the electrical panel. I explained that I was told solar would not be compatible and that the project was cancelled. He explained to me that there was a mistake with communication, and in fact my home could have solar installed. I gave access to the electrical panel inside my home. Pictures were taken, and he left. October of 2022, and no word of when solar would be installed, but I did get another knock on my door, asking for access to the electrical panel. I granted access and more pictures were taken. I received a phone call in November, asking for access to my electrical panel. Someone showed up to my home and took another picture of the electrical panel. I received an email notifying me that my solar project was in the review process from the City, and once approved it would be forwarded to Southern California Edison. I received notification from Southern California Edison that the solar project was approved. Approximately two weeks later, at the beginning of January 2023, I was given an installation date of January 7, 2023. One week later, a week after the date specified, the installer came knocking on my door January 13,2023. The installer let me know the project was going to begin. Approximately one half hour later, the installer knocked on my door and informed me that he could not locate the electrical panel outside. He said the plans showed the electrical box was located to the right front corner of my unit. He seemed perplexed. I explained to him that the electrical panel was located in my home in the hallway. He proceeded to explain that the plans showed it was located outside the home. I laughed and said, clearly that is not the case. He proceed to tell me they could go ahead and start the project. They would punch a hole through the building, and run the conduit along the top of the ceiling in the dining room, through the kitchen, across the ceiling in the hallway and down the wall to the electrical panel. I said no. Period. I explained to him that I did not feel comfortable letting them proceed with any work in my home, and that all confidence was lost in the project. I was not at all pleased with having my home look like the outside of a home with solar spaghetti. No thank you. I was instructed to call My Smarthouse, to let them know I was not interested in the project. I phoned My Smarthouse, and spoke with a supervisor by the name of Brandon. Brandon would not be quiet long enough to listen to my concerns, and informed me that I would pay a 15% restocking fee, as a result of the cancellation. I told Brandon that negligence and lack of due diligence on the entities are what caused the cancellation. I further explained that if they could not get the electrical panel location right, after being out on four separate occasions to take pictures of the panel, that I am certainly not going to allow access and conduit strewn throughout my home. Who in their right mind would want to allow any work? Brandon conceded and said the project would be cancelled. One month later I received a phone call informing me that the solar project plans were approved, and that the installation was scheduled. I called back and said I cancelled the project last month due to their negligence, and failure to get the location of the electrical panel right in the first place. In April 2023, I received an email from Mosaic, the finance company used to finance project, that the first loan installment was due on May 4, 2023. I immediately called Mosaic and explained the situation. I was then informed that Solcius had half of the funding already disbursed to them for the completed project. I explained that the solar project never happened, as they had failed to get the location of the electrical panel right in the first place. They informed me that I need to call My Smarthouse and cancel the project. I called My Smarthouse again, and explained to them that the project was cancelled. I asked them to explain to me why the solar project had never been cancelled. They were unable to answer me and I was told that I needed to contact Solcius and let them know the project was cancelled. I called Solcius and was told I needed to call My Smarthouse. I told them that was already done, and that it needed to be cancelled by them. I called My Smarthouse again, and I was told not a problem, they would handle it. May 4, 2023 my bank account is drafted the first loan installment payment for the loan. Really??? So, I called My Smarthouse, again, and explained all over again the situation. My Smarthouse said they understood and would handle the cancellation. I then received a call from Solcius informing me that I needed to call and cancel the project, as they did not have my authorization to cancel the project. I called Solcius back and spoke with Spencer. I explained to Spencer the whole situation, again. Here it is May 15, 2023, and I am getting credit alerts about my new account. I still have yet to get the money returned to me for the 1st installment payment on a system that was never installed in the first place. Please stay away from this scamming racquet if you would like to keep your sanity and your bank account safe. Oh but the biggest blow from this whole ordeal was being informed by the installer, that day of installation, that I am a fool for installing on a north facing roof and that the panels would not produce nearly enough to cover any costs. Basically, I had been scammed by the sales representative for My Smarthouse. Buyer beware!!!

Solcius lied about the tax credits

I purchased panels from Solcius and I was told that I would get a 26% tax credit from Federal and 10% state tax credit. From the experience of the install to the damage they did to my new stucco wall was the worst experience and now I find out that they did not submit the applications so that I could get my state credit. I am very new to solar and I asked how to get help but they offered no help. They emailed documents to me stating that all I needed to do was give it to my tax account and was told the applications were submitted. Now I find out that the state has no more funds to provide any tax credits and now that I am not receiving my credit because of Solcius negligent, I am now stuck with a 49K bill. I regret ever purchasing these Solar Panels! People be aware and do your homework before purchasing any solar panels because they lie and will tell you anything to get that sale. They train these your sales people to lie and they make promises but when the time comes they will not help you. What a big disappointment from Solcius! This has made me sick to my stomach. I was told by our sales rep from my smart house that I could use their roofer or mine and that all I had to do was send them the bill and that the roofing bill could be incorporated into our payment with Solcius. Our roofing job is finished, our roofer meets all the state of California requirements for licensing, bonding and insurance because he does not carry general liability insurance only liability insurance they are now saying they will not pay it. The job is completed. I would like to speak to somebody in high management at Solcius. My name is Suzanne Perdue.

Worst Customer Service Ever!

Don't normally complain but this is the most ridiculous customer experience ever! Solcius has no problem selling you solar panels - that is the easiest part. Once sold -customer beware! Pray that you don't have problems (which you will). We had 20 panels installed. It took three different crews (and multiple phone calls) to actually get the panels working which only lasted three weeks when 11 panels quit working. My husband has called daily (sometimes twice a day) to get someone to come out and fix it or at least follow up but continually gets the run around. No one calls back and no one shows up and . . . you will never talk to the same person twice. The supervisors know nothing and do nothing. They make promises to call you or send someone out and . . . crickets! Finally got someone to come out and look at the panels (after my husband called multiple times) but he didn't know how to fix it, so he left. No one knows anything or follows through. The lack of attention to customer service is truly appalling. Not sure how long they will be in business and if I owned this company or worked for them, I would be embarrassed and ashamed. This company passes the buck, blames others, and makes up lies. Panels were originally installed beginning of February and as of April 20th still not working and still calling daily. Truly at wits end!

MMc | Hollister, CA | 04/19/2023

Don’t let Solcius on your property.

Our system was installed 11/22. There’s been nothing but issues from day 1. First the installation crew didn’t follow design and could not put promised amount of panels on. We had to buy more panels to generate the estimated yearly usage. The salesman promised to pay the first 3 months of service then didn’t. Said because we got more panels at a “discount” so he couldn’t keep his promise. So basically we paid twice for their screwup. Once system was online (2 months late) we found that panels were incorrectly wired and one panel was not functioning. It is now 4/23, 6 crews have been to my house and still my system is miswired and not functioning properly. So long story short, DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE, the salesman lie. The installers don’t know what they are doing and the customer service is a complete joke.

Panels

Worst company, my panels were down about 6 months and I received a curtosy credit of $150. When my electric bill rose up to $1000.

Colorado - Epic Failure

Solcius and Meraki charged me over $75K for solar panels, failed to right size the panels, promised generator backup, undesized that by half my kitchen only, lied about battery storage backuo, and my electric bill went from $150 to $250 UP to $350 to $600 MONTHLY after it was turned on Oct 2022.

Stay away, do not use this company

After numerous delays and excuses Solcius sent out a subcontractor to install the solar panels on my roof. I`m a disabled vet and have problems walking, so they installed the panels up against my roofs parapit, denying me the ability to safely access my roof without tripping over their panels. Also they installed the panels up against the base for my cooler, further denying me the ability to service my cooler for the summer months. I was told I could walk on the panels but can not do so safely. Numerous calls to customer service, trying to vocalize my issues to someone who can or does not have English as their native tounge, has resulted in many lies and excuses, someone will call you back, but they never do. Today I had to call 4 times within 30 minutes as I kept being disconnected while waiting forever on hold. Everytime I have asked to talk to a supervisor, I`m told they are never available. No supervisors, no calls back, no customer service. Two weeks after installition was finished and inspected I contacted the company to inquire when they were going to finish the install, I was told they had no knowledge that the inspection was done successfully. Apparently they contract out the work to people who obviously do not know or care about the job they are doing. I am on week 3 waiting for someone to call me back. I called their 800# 9604150 only to talk to someone I could barely understand to be put on hold, disconnected, recalled put onhold disconnected and finally connected to someone who once again said someone would call me back ( if I understood correctly what the lady was trying to say), I won`t hold my breath. I had to pick and choose some of my answers as I was not given the information needed to factfully provide answers. I don't know who made the panels but were assured they were made in Canada. Nor to I know what my system size, again no information given to customer. I was told they were going to put 20 panels on my roof and they installed 24. Use a different company, this one is only going to cause you problems, grief and aggravation. They are not worth the time and trouble, stay away, far away, you will be happy you did.

They need to update current customers with policy changes

As a company when they implement changes to their policy they need to send off a email or letters to current customer to inform them that policies have changes. **They no longer reimburse customers for system failures and extended lead times on repairs. Even if it happened prior to their policy change**1/22/2023 I was told during the process of the repairs that I would be compensated for the energy usage. When I called they said that was before we made this change to our policy change.

Installed used equipment and horrible customer service!!

It has been about 4 months now since my solar system was turned on by the utility and I am fully disappointed with this company and my experience. I have a 5.5kW ground mounted system with microinverters and after talking with a sales rep and paying more than 30k (before tax credit) I thought I would get top notch support. The install of the hardware was completed at the end of September and within two weeks the utility had come out installed the meter and turned on the system. The system came with a NEP gateway to monitor the production of the of each panel. They needed to be setup and after about a week I called the company to ask what the next step was. They simply sent me a link that sent me to a web page to register so that I could monitor the panels remotely online. This did not work though because the NEP gateway fed the server and was not setup at all. Not wanting to wait on them and excited to view the panel production, I found the gateway manual online and set it up myself. Part of the setup was to retrieve the serial numbers from microinverters. This is when I noticed that the microinverters appeared to be used equipment. The serial numbers were all over the place and it was obvious some had been a little knocked around. I don’t know why they would install used equipment but fine the warranty is for 25 years so if they go out, they will replace them. Well surprise, surprise the monitoring system showed that one of the microinverters was not producing. It took multiple phone calls and after two months they finally sent someone to come look at the system and even then, that person just determined it was bad. It took another two weeks to get another person out to replace it…and the one they installed was obviously used and didn’t work. So, after 4 months still, I’m still not producing at full capacity. The customer service people are very nice but there is a language barrier with most and there is full push back to try and not get someone out, including having you troubleshoot the system. I will not make this longer but there is a lot of additional frustrating conversation and experiences I have had trying to simply to get my system working. I highly do not recommend this company especially at their prices. I am sure you can get this treatment and lack of follow through for less money. This higher price tag does not come with better customer service. Keep looking.

Charged for non functioning system

6 months after contract was signed, my solar panels were finally installed. I received my first monthly bill before my system was even functioning. I was promised I would be reimbursed. I received reimbursed for the first month but they refused reimbursement for the second month. My panels are finally operational as of December 28th but the billing cycle started December 12th. When I called for reimbursement for the 1/2 month when panels were not operational, they refused. I’ve had no luck speaking to anyone but the call center and they will not allow me to talk to a manager or anyone else in billing. I should not have to pay for days the system was not operational due to their negligence on getting proper inspections to the energy company. That is theft.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!PLEASE READ THIS . THEN RUN AWAY!!!!!!

From the salesman giving false promises and convincing me to drop previous contract i had. I was told i would get the same system which was lg neon 2 series panels with micro inverters not string inverters. for less then what i was paying . which was 84k.!!!! so Solcius shows up for panel upgrade and cuts big hole ion wall then tells me he is going to drop the amps in my panel . i stopped him right there. then they said 3 min later they had to stop due rain coming. that was 2 months ago. Then they show up a day early to install the wrong system . Almost like they purposely did that you get a jump on me before i started asking questions . Instead of micro inverters they gave me string inverters with power optimizers. Lets look at what im actually saying right here. They are trying to tell me they never promised these things. Which means i on my own accord decided to cancel my other contract. to get lesser of a system for$84,0000 . That makes zero sense. The installation crew topped it off with the destruction of my roof, trusses and a bunch of spray paint that isnt even close to matching and a dozen glued tiles or more. It looks like a bunch of cavemen . But im not done yet.... literally put 2 of the long lag bolts holding the panel frame on the roof. Have gone through my truss splitting it in 2. Then proceeding out the side of my stucco wall under the eve .They did not make pilot holes into the trusses before setting the huge lag bolts into my trusses . now i have split trusses throughout my house. the rrof jacks they put in are installed on top of the dam roof tiles LMAO. They charged me 3700 for the permitt. im a !00% disabled vet . i dont pay for permitting. I told my project manger this from my smart house .. lol that name is fitting . Nothing smart about them , This company has been bought out by another one . My last issue is i asked for an invoice for everything im paying for . Ive attempted to get this 2 times . They refuse to give me what is by law required . With all this said and done. It is flat out a breach of contract, gross negligence , among a few others i wont mentionon here . Thanks for everyones time . Please save the oh were so sorry crap. and that you will get back to me. cuz no you have not . But you really really should!

worst solar company

These guys did great for the installation. then I PAID them again to remove the panels so I could get my roof replaced and I waited 3 months for them to come to complete the service and it never happened. when I finally had to cancel and have another company do the work, Solcius told me they would cancel my warranty. At this point, I would say that even if I did have a warranty issue there is no way that they would even look at it. I tried to make it work but these guys provide no service after the sale. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS.

Never EVER go through this company EVER

If I could give 0 stars I would, this is THE WORST company I have EVER dealt with they do not CARE one bit about their customers. The amount of AWFUL reviews this company has is insane to me if you actually read through them. This is been now a years process for us, they have no communication their customer service is awful they just say "some one will call you back" and when you ask to speak to a manger they say there is none... For over a year now we have had problems. Our HOA required nets under our solar panels and they stated in our contract they would put them up... did they? Nope !! and my husband and I have now called over 50 times trying to get help get rid of our bird problem from the no nets, it is ruining our roof and my dog has now become sick from the amount of bird poop in our back yard. Not only is this happening but the beginning installation was HORRENDOUS. We NEVER knew when someone was coming they just would show up as well as they installed our panels wrong and NEVER told us.... It took over 8 months to get it fixed and now we have awful birds ruing our home and health....THIS COMPANY SUCKS NEVER GO WITH THEM I WILL CONTINUE TO WRITE REVIEWS AND TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO NEVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY GO WITH ANYONE ELSE!!!!!! I will upload pictures of my awful backyard

WORST Company ever!! - Application NVE-113841

By far this is the WORST company I have ever had to deal with. I have had neighbors asking who installed my Solar and I have to honestly say stay away from Solcius. NO WAY would I ever recommend this company to anyone wanting Solar. Better Business shows them having 152 reviews, 152 complaints in 3 years of which over half are in the last 12 months. The have been business for 8 years. I would argue this is more of a start up company based on my interaction with them. We started the application (Application NVE-113841) for Solar with Solcius after we moved into our home in January of 2022. We did not lease. We paid cash of over $25K with 80% down to this company. On their contract it mentions they have 240 days to have Solar installed pending any problems. I guess this also means due to their incompetence that it may take longer than the 240 days. We are past the 240 days as of this date. The problem is NV Energy in Nevada is telling Solcius that our system size is too large and for them to submit an Engineering Calculation to justify the size. Seems simple enough but after 8 months Solcius still cannot figure it out. In fact in earlier conversations I had with Solcius they wanted to downsize my system and when I asked how would I be compensated for the Solar panels that would be removed for which I already paid their customer service had absolutely no idea. At that I said I have no faith in Solcius that I would be reimbursed and no way am I downsizing. This is your mistake so Solcius needs figure it out! In the meantime I have panels on my roof doing nothing but collecting dust and losing efficiency over time and now we are approaching fall and I've lost all the credits that I should have been getting over the summer months from my electric company. Solcius says they pride themselves on their cutomer service but at best they are a joke. Yes, when you do call and get someone on the line they are very nice but that is where any help they can give stops. The below timeline says it all! There are never any followup's from Solcius customer service on your solar project. In the past 8 months only 2 text message were received from them on an update! YOU as the customer have to be the proactive one and calling weekly for updates and even then their customer service are only reading from the latest "notes" in front of them concerning your application that some manager or supervisor may have input and if you try to ask for a name of a manager or the person working your application they will tell you they can not give out that information. One of my last call was to a "Jose" at customer service on October 17 and he told me the same thing again that I have heard for months that "it is being worked" Worthless information!! In fact he left me on hold for over 22 minutes so he could check on the status until I was disconnected and had to call back. Last call today on Octover 24 was to a customer service rep "Lovely" and again the same thing. "no update". Timeline as follows: *February 18 2022 Signed contract with Solcius *February 22 2022 Had to re-signed contract due to Solcius needing to make corrections on contract for incorrect solar panel wattage. *April 1 2022 Solar Panels and equipment installed. City of Henderson, Nevada approved Solar install also in April. The whole month of May went by with no updates because Solcius never got around submitting the application. *June 7 2022, Email from NV Energy to Solcius. Interconnection Application NVE-113841 is Awaiting Documentation: Solcius LLC will need to fill out the Non-Incentive Documentation Required form to verify or update information, upload the final building inspection paperwork and any other pertinent documents, and generate an Interconnection Agreement which will require signatures from the host customer, property owner, and system owner. The Interconnection Agreement can either be downloaded, then uploaded with complete signatures, or e-signatures requested using PowerClerk's DocuSign program. These requirements must be submitted within one year of 6/7/2022 or application NVE-113841 will be canceled. *June 22 2022, Email from NV Energy to Solcius. Application Corrections are Required for NVE-113841 60 days from 6/22/2022 or this application will be canceled: "System size is too large. Please submit Engineering Calculations stamped by a Nevada Licensed Electrical Engineer in order to justify system size." *June 25 2022 I emailed Solcius; This is the 2nd time I received email stating errors on our application. No reply from Solcius! *June 27 2022, Email from NV Energy to Solcius. Solcius LLC must log into PowerClerk to review the correction notes in the application, make the required changes, then resubmit the form. "System size is too large. Please submit Engineering Calculations stamped by a Nevada Licensed Electrical Engineer in order to justify system size." Corrections must be made before 8/21/2022 (which is 56 days from now) or this application will be canceled. Again I emailed Solcius customer service on June 27 concerning our connection with NV Energy. Was supposed to hear back with a status and not have heard back. Basically Solcius has dropped the ball twice now getting proper documentation to NV energy. *July 11 2022, Email from NV Energy to Solcius. Solcius LLC must log into PowerClerk to review the correction notes in the application, make the required changes, then resubmit the form. "System size is too large. Please submit Engineering Calculations stamped by a Nevada Licensed Electrical Engineer in order to justify system size." NV Energy will resume review of the application only after corrections are submitted. Corrections must be made before 8/21/2022 (which is 42 days from now) or this application will be canceled. Again another follow up email to Solcius and still nothing heard. This is the third time Solcius dropped the ball. *August 15 2022, Email from NV Energy to Solcius. Corrections must be made before 8/21/2022 (which is 7 days from now) or this application will be canceled. Again a follow up email to Solcius and still nothing heard. This is the fourth time Solcius dropped the ball. And to make matters worse our application is within 7 days of being cancelled *August 22 2022, Email from NV Energy to Solcius. The application for the system was not completed in a timely manner and this application has been canceled. NV Energy CANCELLED our application due to the numerous failures of Solcius to to work the application. *September 24 2022 Solcius had to pay NV Energy an application fee to reinstate our application. As the customer we had to resign new documents. *October 12 2022, Email from NV Energy to Solcius. Solcius LLC must log into PowerClerk to review the correction notes in the application, make the required changes, then resubmit the form. NV Energy will resume review of the application only after corrections are submitted. Corrections must be made 60 days from 10/12/2022 or this application will be canceled. *October 17 2022 Solcius LLC must log into PowerClerk to review the correction notes in the application, make the required changes, then resubmit the form. NV Energy will resume review of the application only after corrections are submitted. Corrections must be made before 12/11/2022 (which is 56 days from now) or this application will be canceled. *October 26 & 27 2022 Spoke with a "Collin" Asst Mgr. The individual(s) working my Permission to Operate a "Julie"; "Alex" and "Furena" at Solcius have failed to provide any additional updates since October 12 which was the last date my electric company disapproved mu permission to operate.

Don’t choose this company

In the beginning of starting this project I was very happy with Solcius. The installers were great. But my solar has been approved to be turned on since Monday and it’s still not working. I can’t get an answer to when someone will come out and fix it and when I call to ask to speak to a manager I’m told by the people on the phone (not just one) that mangers don’t want to call and talk to customers. WHAT?!? I am very frustrated and feel I have made a 30 thousand dollar mistake. I will never recommend a company where it’s employees tell you mangers can’t be bothered to call customers back. Don’t use this company.

Broken promises

Don't do business with Solcius it's my opinion they're too big to give good customer service or do their work in a timely fashion which is to the detriment of the person wanting to have solar installed on their house, after almost 6 months of waiting for my install I was scheduled, was called repeatedly 2 weeks or more before my installation date to make sure I was going to be there as they're installers would need to enter my gated backyard was going to be a ground mount my last call from them to verify schedule was on a Friday before install was supposed to happen on a Monday 6 months into this contract the installation site is an Airbnb had to cancel all my scheduled guests and block my calendar for a total 5 days is what I was told the ground mount would take, I drove to my Airbnb 108 miles from my home on a Sunday night so I would be there bright and early Monday morning Monday morning came and went Monday afternoon still showed no call no text no email so I started calling them found out they claim they didn't have all the hardware to do the ground mount from what I read now and some of the reviews that's an excuse they often use so they were a no-show so I canceled with them after waiting almost 6 months their promise of an installation date to me then became part of the contract so there no show to me was a breaking of their contract with me so I canceled now they want $4,100 a 15% cancellation fee so I'll be taking them to small claims court as I do not feel I owe this

Regretful.

System installed quickly and incorrectly per submitted schematics . Week of install it failed inspection twice. Resubmitted plans approved weeks later through Electric Company. As of Sept. 22 Solcius has not addressed necessary documents for final inspection to move forward. Regardless of several calls and repeated being lied to, project still is at a standstill. All this nonsense that has occurred and continues has made me very regretful as well as unsettled to my future with this company/system.

Solcius does not believe in customer service

My previous review was about My Smart-House who sells Solcius panels. This one is about Solcius. I have been trying to get a hold of a supervisor/manager for over one wee now, and lo and behold all the managers seem to be in one long meeting. That is the answer I have received each time I called. I am told someone will call me back right away, and nothing happens. They are very good in misrepresentation. 9/21 I sent a long email explaining everything all that has gone wrong with my project to higher level managers & VPs. No one has even bothered to acknowledge my email yet. I am literally forced to look into taking legal actions at this point. Already reached out to a few lawyers as I am just simply over this. The whole project was supposed to take 6-8 weeks. I am not 8 month into it with nothing to show but lies. I would give them minus points if that was an option. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

customer service

I have attempted to contact them. I only get recording and left on hold for over 10 minutes. I need an evaluation for my panels and service to determine why I am not producing sufficient energy with more than enough panels. My panels have been cleaned. I find it disturbing you cannot contact a human being to obtain customer service and service consultation.

Poor customer communication & secheduling

This is in regard to our experience to date working with Solcius from here in Minnesota. We purchased a home with the solar solution in place. Because of a hailstorm impacting our home in May the roof needed to be replaced. This of course meant that the solar panels had to come down for the work to be completed. This is where the poor experience began! This is not a Customer Service issue. Customer Service was available...after 20 or 30 minutes on hold...but they are ineffective in solving scheduling issues. If you take someone's money the least you could do is put them on a calendar (whether it be 2 weeks or 2 months out) so they know that the work will be completed at some point. The uninstall of the panels took over weeks to schedule. We were finally able to get hold of a customer rep who actually called the DM here in Minnesota and got us scheduled. Why do you have call backs and voicemails as an option when you NEVER respond to them!! We left 4 voicemails and 3 callbacks with no response! Coming from 30 years as a customer service manager this is a poor business practice. So, we finally got the panels removed and the roof replaced after 3 months. We are now in the same boat trying to get hold of anyone to get our panels put back on the roof so we can benefit from what little sun is left here in Minnesota before Winter arrives. Keep in mind that we have already PAID for this service! We intend to expand our solar system in 2023 but Solcuis will NOT be a vendor we consider. The only reason we gave you 2 stars is because the uninstall crew was awesome.

Terrible customer service, very little communication

It took months of emails and calls to actually get in contact with a human. My concern was over the tax rebate they advertised to me. There was no real direction given when it comes to this, and given that I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to taxes, it was disappointing that I went through all that trouble just for them to tell me I have to take care of the rebate myself. What does that even mean? Looking through the city, county, and state websites, it doesn't even look like there is a solar rebate. If that information is correct, Solcius lied to us saying we could get nearly $10k in rebates and automatically apply it to our loan, or use it personally. Doesn't look like that's an option. The panels seem to work fine, but it's not really worth it if I have to deal with such a horrible company.

Solcius and My Smart House are the WORST COMPANY!!!

I decided not to go with this company after I found out they lied about so much and even though everything was canceled within one day they still filed on my behalf for NEM Application with SCE and I’ve been trying since May to get this canceled and haven’t had any luck. NO one from My Smart House will return a phone call if I can even if I’m able to leave a message, most of the time you are either cut off or voicemails are full. I even filed a complaint with the BBB and the response they got back from them was this was resolved. Today I heard back from SCE and they haven’t been able to cancel the Solcius/My Smart House application. My advice is to NOT USE THESE COMPANIES. I even talked to a guy named Brandon Vizzi in May who even followed up with me in an email saying this application was canceled and everything in their system was updated which has turned out to be another lie. The only reason they are getting any stars is because you have to give them something in order to post a review.

Very difficult to get service support

It is very difficult to reach service support of Solcius. 1. You are stuck with a hard-to-connect phone number. The only way to reach Solcius' service support is through the phone. It takes a long time to connect to a support staff if you persevere enough. Leaving a call back number does not mean much -- I did not get any call back. 2. Support staff is not much of help. Even if you get lucky in connecting to a support staff. He/she can not provide much help. According to my experience, Solcius does not have a support system: they do not have a customer or site ID, there is no case number. At the end of your finally connected phone call, all you get is a promise that someone will contact you. No confirmation email acknowledging your inquiry or request. In my case, my solar system got disconnected from the network on June 30, 2022. It is still disconnected as of today. I am writing this review while waiting on the phone. It has been 30 minutes. The automatic voice player keeps saying "Due to high call volume, your wait time may be more than 5 minutes."

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROBLEM NOT SOLVED

Good Afternoon, I have called your 1-800 number no less than 10 times and they are of no help so please do not respond for me to just call that number. I am hoping that perhaps someone in your department might get me to someone who can help me with my issue. When I call the 1-800-960-4150 the agents I have spoken to are rude and of very little help. Last year from early August to late March of this year my solar was not working. I was a new home owner and it was my first time dealing with solar as well. When I started paying more attention to my energy statements I receive every month I saw that my bill every month was around $175 - $200 a month and this is when I contacted both Solar edge and then Solcius. It was determined that my solar was inoperable from early August 2021 to April 2022 and that the inverter box needed to be replaced. It was replaced in late March or early April. At the time the technician came out he showed me how to read the meter and also when I should call Solcius to let them know it wasn't working properly. It sounds silly but he showed me how if the arrows on the meter were pointing to my house then it was working properly but if the arrows were pointing away from my house then it was not. After the installation I watched this like a hawk because I had to pay $2000 for the better part of the last year it wasn't working and I have watched the arrows on the meter. For the April - June energy bills my cost was about $10 - $25 and the arrows on the meter were pointing towards my house as discussed with the technician who installed the new inverter. In June my system required a re-boot because the arrows once again were going in the opposite direction. After the re-boot the arrows were pointing towards my home again. Then in July it happens again, I call the 1-800 number and as I stated the agents were not only rude they would not do another re-boot and would not allow me to speak to a manager and state that my soloar is working fine. I don't know what their definition of fine is but going from $25 to $216 for a house that supposedly has solar working "just fine" but that does not seem fine to me. I get my July bill and it has gone up once again to $216, I observe the arrows on the meters, see there are going in the other direction and I promptly called Solcius. One agent's suggestion was for me to get more panels installed. I live i a small home and find it interesting that you can look back to a Summer month in 2020 when the panels were clearly "just fine" and my energy bill was about $11 - $15 monthly in the hottest months in California but my energy bill jumping to $216 again is considered "just fine". I am not wanting to pay another $2,000 energy bill next year because something was wrong with my solar. Not sure what the purpose of solar is if it isn't going to work. Clearly the system needs to be tended to, I am not a solar professional but I can read an energy bill statement and I do see that something is not working properly. I have no interest in forking over another $2,000 to SCE because someone on your 1-800 number stated, my panels were "just fine". Thank you for your time. Best regards, Patricia T

Should of checked the Reviews

Well, I had a Rep come by to talk about the solar service they offered. I originally agreed to have them put the panels in on a Friday and later that night, I did some research on the complaints and reviews. I cannot believe that I did not do my due diligence but once I read the reviews, I immediately went on and did the Cancelation notice in the copy of the agreement. If you guys want to have and keep customers, have your Reps and Contractors be honest with the potential customer. I more than likely will not Recommend this company and I will tell any potential customers should they ask to do their research. By the way, Love the Power Point presentation. That Power Point Ranger did a good job.

Customer Service Grade - F

I had my inverter go out and I called Solcius and they sent out a repairman to check it out and he verified that the inverter burned out. I was then told that I had to e-mail the warranty division to get a new inverter and schedule a install. This was five weeks ago. I have called every week to see when the inverter would come in and I have also asked each rep. that I have talked to how I was going to be compensated for the elec. that I was not producing, each rep told me that I would be compensated and receive a check. Today I had to call again and found out that my inverter was in and when aI asked about my compensation check I was told that I would not receive one. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and explained what each rep had told me (which is in the notes that they take) the supervisor told me that he could not do anything for me and that I had been misinformed. Basically I have been lied to by the company rep. Solcius customer service is in the toilet , I even asked the supervisor to speak with his manager and he told me that I could not talk to them. (where's the customer service that they say that they pride themselves in)? If this company had any integrity they would follow through on what they say and reach out to there customers when there are issues. I feel like I am dealing with a bunch of used car salesmen. I hope this review reaches someone in Solcius that is willing to give me a call and show me what true customer service is. Frustrated Corey Woodford 801-319-5846
