We couldnt be more pleased with our free standing solar system and generac generator! Our electric bills went from $300-$400 a month to $13 a month most months. Zero maintenance. We have had our system for almost 2 years. Solar Power Midwest continues to periodically call and check in with us and see if we have any questions. Great company to work with

Responsive, knowledgable

The team did a great job at educating me on solar options for my home. They also gave me realistic expectations on available city, state and federal incentives. The install went well and the system so far has been working great (had it for about 8 months). Well after the install was completed they continue to respond promptly when I send them questions.

The installation process went well and when we requested a small change after the installation, it was done with no questions asked. We were very pleased dealing with this company. We have had no problems after the installation was complete and are very pleased to see our electric bills dramatically decreased.

I chose Solar Power Midwest because the sales guy was not pushy and spoke to me like I meant something. Walter told me about solar power, the process and how it would benefit me. He showed me the savings and answered questions quickly. I emailed and text him because it was easier for me and he would respond almost immediately. The whole process was very smooth. Solar Power Midwest worked with my village to get the inspections completed in a timely manner and had me up and running in no time. Some of my neighbors took 8 months to get their solar power system to work, mine was up and running in 30 days. GREAT EXPERIENCE

I really enjoyed working with this company on getting my solar system installed at my home. They were proactive in contacting me every step of the way, with upcoming work or delays. I sensed that they really wanted to help me understand the process. The best part was when I had a service issue. I received a call from one of their technicians telling me that there was a problem with my inverter. I was not even aware there was a production issue. I was talked through on rebooting the inverter, but it failed to restart. So the following day, I received a call telling me that a new inverter had been ordered and was being sent directly to my house. They were tracking its arrival and arranged for the installation. I didn't have to be involved at all, they were on top of fixing the issue. Problem was fixed within a week. I appreciate the way in which everyone has been involved to get my system up and running and keeping it that way.

Working with Sherri Somner with Solar Power Midwest was a wonderful experience. She is very knowledgeable or will dig in and get whatever information you might need. The techs were professional and the system work perfectly.

We went with this local Illinois company after getting quotes from two national installers. Not only could they match on price, they were super friendly, responsive to our calls and emails, and still regularly check in with us. We got our system installed at the hight of COVID and they did everything they could to make sure the process was smooth given the situation. Great service, caring people. Highly recommend!

Very pleased with our decision!

The team at Solar Power Midwest did a great job installing our Solar panels! We are definitely reaping the rewards of a super sunny summer!! Our electric bills are practically nonexistent and we have surely used more than our fair share of electricity! Swimming Pool pump and central a/c system running nonstop. This is the 1st Summer we’ve ever had where we weren’t afraid to open our electric bill. If you’re on the fence regarding making the decision whether to supply your home with Solar Energy, just do it! You won’t regret it.

Solar Power Midwest and our project with them

First let me say the Dave Sonner, Curt Reid, and Angie Prouix and all of the crew at Solar power Midwest are very friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with. That said, our project presented some very special conditions that needed to be overcame. After a very rocky start with another vendor who could not understand my request, Solar Power Midwest stepped in and preformed very admirably. I have a shop in my back yard that uses 3 phase power because of some metal and woodworking machinery that i use. it didnt make sense to me to go solar with the house and not the shop which had seemed to be beyond the understanding of the previous vendor. Solar Power Midwest assured me that they were capable of meeting both systems comfortably which they did. Let me say here that after the first attempt we did some serious research and Solar Power Midwest was not the most expensive nor the cheapest we examined but provided the best combination of, knowledge, quality, service and cost to the thoughts of my engineering background. so [ would enthusiastically recommend Solar Power Midwest to anyone contemplating a solar system going forward, if i had to install another system i would start with these guys without reservation,

Very honest folks

After looking at many companies I chose Solar power Midwest. My decision was based upon equipment reviews and most of all the genuine way that Dave Sonner and his staff worked with me. Dave returned calls promptly as did the office staff. After installation there was a software hiccup and but it was fixed immediately by Curtis who does their service. Courteous staff. Installers cleaned up the site when done. Great experience. If you are on the line give them a call. They will get you fixed up and you will not regret it.
