This has been the worst consumer experience of my life. I'm going to go into more details, but I want to bullet point the bad for those who won't read. They literally looted my house, stole tens of thousands from my basement from install, told me that my daughter said it was ok. (I DON'T HAVE A DAUGHTER), but the system also never worked. NEVER. 9 months later, there has been one service call to send a repair person who was only instructed to confirm it wasn't working. That was in September 2025 and it is now February 2026. Not only does it not work, but because it was installed impropperly, my electric bill went up, 3,100%. That is a fact. They will not respont. Customer service is non existent. I've spent hundreds of hours on hold and writing emails to zero results. I've spoken with the company they installed which is no help and the finance. They all contact them to no response. I can't afford my electric bill and still have to pay for this on top. This is a scam. Pure and simple there is zero help. The help they also said for filing taxes is a lie. There is no assistance and all the promises sales gives you is a lie. Worst company I've ever dealt with. Stay Away.

Major problem with Powur

Had a rodent make a nest and chew through one panels wire. Called Powur and as usual they sent out a sub-contractor who opened every panel (not gently in my opinion) and since his leaving one entire side of my system is not producing the power it once did. I have repeatedly told them this and they keep pointing to the one chewed wire on the one panel. I keep telling them (with proof from their App) that prior to their sub-contracted “repair person” that both sides except for the one panel were producing as they should. If I do not hear back within two weeks we will be starting a law suit. If anyone wants to join in on a class action law suit let me know, apparently I am not alone.

POWUR DESTROYED OUR ROOF AND WON'T FIX IT

Powur had a great sales person, so we bought solar for our home. But now our roof is destroyed, and they won't fix it. Our roof has several leaks, our ceiling is starting to cave in, and they refuse to give us a single phone call. All of their customer service numbers go directly to online chat. And the online chat agents just tell you that they already "started a ticket" and there's nothing else they can do. Meanwhile days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months, while our property is getting destroyed by Powur. DO NOT LET POWUR TOUCH YOUR ROOF! THEY DESTROY YOUR HOME AND THEN REFUSE TO FIX IT!

Liar salesmen

Their salemen would promise a referral fee but you dont get it even after the person you referred got the system up and running for a month now. Then the salesman, his name is Mustafa, dont even talk to him, will stop answering your calls and texts. So i suggest say to this company.

Waste of money!

Wish I had read these reviews before signing up with Powur. For 2 years my system worked OK now I’m getting bills just as high as I did before Solar . They don’t have a customer service phone number. The response to chat is awful. Nobody will come out and check my system without paying $250 for them to just come out, I am paying $400 a month for the last three months and cannot get anyone to come and see what’s going on with my system. The salesman will not return my calls he just texts messages that the system is working properly. Even though one of the micro inverters needs to be replaced! Don’t waste your money with this company.

Dishonest.

Powur was very dishonest, and breached contract. They told us that we would produce enough to run my trailer and a electric car. We barely had enough to run our home. Come to find out we had shading concerns that they never informed us about. Becareful people.

Mason, Ohio - Neelesh Tandon is your man!

I opted to go with Powur because of Neelesh Tandon. He was my consultant who was very proactive and made sure that he supported me throughout the process without any typical sales pressure. He was very patient with all my questions and would send me links to articles to answer my questions even in the night. He helped me making the best choice in terms of Solar panels, inverters, warranty etc along with the pricing options. I signed up with in Sep 2023 and was promised that my installation will be done in 2023 itself to claim the tax credit. There were hiccups along the way from Powur but Neelesh made sure he was able to push through and kept moving my project along and was able to get my system installed and operational my mid Dec 2023. Even after installation there were some issues but Neelesh helped resolved even those. I was extremely impressed as you typically don't expect after sales support from Consulant. But glad that he had my back and was able to get things right for me. Overall, I would highly recommend going with Neelesh. He will make it happen!!!

Stay Away

Stay AWAY! If you are considering doing business with Powur this is worth the read. In Sept 2022 I became a Powur representative. I paid the initial and ongoing ‘back office’ fees each month. I paid thousands of dollars for marketing and setting up. The first deal I sold was with a ‘Mentor’ who made the proposal and then closed the deal with the customer. That first deal was signed in October 2022. In February 2023 I signed on to get solar done on my house. In the process, Powur recommended a roof be done and said they would provide the contractor to do the installation of the roof. I never got a bid on just doing the roof, just the entire package total including the roof. At the end of March 2023, I got a call from a Spanish-speaking person in Houston Tx saying they were sending a crew to install my roofing. I told him that we currently had 5 feet of snow in the yard and 2 to 3 feet on the roof. I also sent him a few pictures and a video of the situation. He said no problem, they would take care of the snow. I asked for a written estimate but never got one. Powur sent me a total bid of $9600 on the roofing. They showed up on March 29th to install. Then I found out that the bid was now up to $10500. Two Spanish men showed up, no English, tennis shoes, cowboy boots, and light jackets, totally unprepared. I even had to loan them tools. During all this the ‘Mentor’ I was working with informed me that my house was outside Powur’s designated service area that they couldn’t do solar on my house and that he was working on getting an ‘exception’ because I was a Powur representative. So, now, we couldn’t get a solar company to come install and now we were stuck with roofing - roofing that we did not need yet. It was crazy. My house is at 9000 feet and no one in our area does a roof with snow, but they showed up and started raking and shoveling the ice and snow off the roof onto my wrap-around deck. There was so much snow and ice piled up that you could hardly see out the windows of the house. I got out there and shoveled all the snow they had removed from the roof. Then, they began to remove the roofing - pushing all the nails all the shingles, and all the debris into the snow! It was impossible to remove the debris and nails in the snow so they left it all for me to deal with. We got 22 feet of snow from Oct 2022 to late April 2023 at my house. The snow didn’t melt until mid-May when I was finally able to start removing all the debris, shingles, nails, etc that was all over the place. We couldn’t even go outside in the snow because of all the nails. I asked Powur to help me with the cost of the debris removal and got nowhere with it. They wouldn’t even give me the estimate that I had been asking for for the roof. I ended up talking to a different person on each attempt to work it out and was not able to get a final bill. No one would tell me how much I owed. I finally emailed that I wanted to cancel the solar installation due to the lack of customer service on the roof and the fact that they weren’t even set up to do solar in my area. The last email I sent them asking for a final bill was May 25th, 2023, and that’s when I let them know that I wanted to cancel the solar project. I never heard from them again. I sold the home in August 25, 2023, and moved out of state. During the sale of the house, I had an inspection done and found through the inspection company that some of the shingles were damaged - A NEW ROOF! So I discounted the sale of the house to take care of the issues. In November I get an invoice out of the blue from Powur for $12000. I refused to pay it and now they have sent me to collections. I have tried to respond to the collection company, but so far, they haven’t responded. I know that I owe something - but I refuse to pay without consideration for all that we have been through.

This sucks

I have had these solar panels for 3 years the 1st year I was still paying a bill an APS bill and not getting any solar credits now It kicks in but I still pay a lot in my APS bill I dont get how I was supposed to pay less and now I pay more. I even changes how and when I use my appliances to help make changes and it doesnt seem like it worked at all

A lot of moving parts

My experience with Powur (from start to finish) was great! I had a competent solar consultant, the installers were efficient and friendly and the permitting was quick and easy. The whole process took about 8 weeks. Not bad considering a lot of that process was in the hands of Duke (power company). I have read all of the negative reviews in here and feel that most, if not all of the issues could be resolved with a competent consultant, who was willing to follow the project from start to finish. Not to mention, there are many moving parts when converting to solar. Many of the issues happen at the hands of the utility company and the permitting, which can take forever. Lastly, some have said that they put down large deposits and were unable to recover those deposits. The beauty of solar is you don’t have to put any money down to get started. My advice, find a solar consultant you can trust and GO FOR IT!

Fantastic Experience

I’ve been wanting to get solar installed on our home for quite some time but was hesitant. It’s a large investment and I’ve read more than one horror story. I spent three solid weeks talking to and getting quotes from both the big players and smaller local guys. I drilled them all with as many questions as I could think of. My salesman, Chis Young with Powur/ SolShine Solar (installation), stood out. He came in with a competitive price and expertly answered every question I threw at him (day or night). Even more impressive is Chris has stayed involved in every step of the process even after the contract was signed. Fantastic! The people at Powur handled everything from the site survey to the permitting with my county, and scheduling the installation. At no point was I confused or unsure of what was happening or needed to happen next. The installation crew at SolShine Solar was equally impressive. They arrived precisely when I was told they would, were polite and professional, got the job done quick, cleaned up, and before my daughter even got home from school, we had a beautiful brand-new solar system on our roof. I made the right choice, and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

Worst company to do business with.

Powur is the worst company can anyone do business with. I live in Columbus , Ohio area. Very completed start process. They will tell you they will do all the work but they won’t. My home owner association refused solar installation for my house and Powur is giving me such a hard time giving me back my deposit although it is mentioned in the contract that in in these kinds of situations I would be eligible for a full refund. Powur kept playing games with me for a month transferring me from billing department to customer service the to account payable and then sent me a partial refund. I paid them $2,000 deposit and they refunded me only $1,400. Why? I don’t know. I complained to BBB and still I haven’t heard from anyone. Powur have lack of professionalism, worst customer service and when I tried to call their customer service, I couldn’t reach and department to speak to anyone. Please be aware of this company and don’t do any business with them. I would rate them zero stars.

Company doesn't solve problem with the panels

I have 3 years with this company and I've been dealing with an issue with the solar panel for the last 2 year paying regular electric bill plus the load that is messed up, they sent technician and they always say they don't found nothing but in their app you can see clearly that the panels are not working as it should be. Very disappointing and frustrating I don't recommend this company at all

Phenomenal Service and Communication! Highly recommend them!

I did a lot of research before deciding to make the Solar plunge. Once I started the process online, I was bombarded by multiple companies and settled on 3 that offered to come out and give me free quotes. Christopher Young of Solshine Solar Solutions was the Sales Rep who won me over. He was extremely genuine, friendly and extremely knowledgeable! I never felt like he was pushy, but rather have me all relevant info, listened to my needs and helped me make the best decision for my family. Christopher want just a "Sell and release" Rep either. He literally would answer any question I had within minutes anytime I texted, called out emailed him... And that included hours of the day that I didn't even expect him to respond! He was above and beyond proactive in letting me know any docs I needed, changes, etc. He was definitely the best and some of the entire process! Powur solar did the installation and they were also amazing to work with! They were friendly, efficient and very respectful of my time and property. There are quite a bit of steps involved in this process and Christopher, Solshine and Powur were all dedicated to making it work. They had to make several adjustments for me because of a large tree that I have that was giving too much shade. Several companies just straight up said they wouldn't help me, Christopher helped me facilitate a solution and in a timely manner. This was one of the absolute best customer service experiences I have ever had with ANY company or service I have worked with! I will recommend them to EVERYONE I know!

Horrible

I could never recommend this solar company. They created errors on our project. The project manager Lacey lied to us. They caused lots of delays. There’s no way to contact them other than email. Their responses are vague. They have the worst customer service ever! No one os held accountable. Don’t use them!

Highly recommended

I had shopped around and received several quotes before deciding on this company. I decided to write this review after eight months of having my system. For starters, their pricing was the best out of all the quotes that I received. Secondly, the entire process from start to finish, was extremely smooth and their customer service has been second to none. Even when they was a slight hiccup on the scheduling, the communication was constant and thorough. I would highly recommend this company.

Beware of this SCAM...

Powur in San Diego! Beware of this SCAM!!!!! BEWARE…This is a SCAM they used/will use to get your DEPOSIT MONEYS!!! After signing a contract with them (POWUR) and making DEPOSIT…they will disappear… If you called asking for the STATUS – they will respond with: “Too many applications…so you have to wait….” Four (4) months later, they called and asked for an additional ~10K if you wanted to move forward with solar installation. If NOT, you will lose your DEPOSIT MONEYS… This is my case: I agreed to pay ~29K for the solar installation with them. Made a deposit of $1,000. Have not heard from them for 4 months. One day, an agent called and asked for an additional $9000 b/c my roof needs to be fixed…. There was no clear explanation why my roof needed to be fixed since all my 3 neighbors just had solar installed (in the window of 3-6 months) and did not have any issue. I requested a few things such as: 1) Roof Inspection in person – not by drone(s) – Got REJECTED 2) Second inspection in person to confirm since all my neighbor’s roofs with the same builder/year 2001 did not have any problem – Got REJECTED 3) Hire an independent Roof Inspection – Got REJECTED I asked for a refund of my DEPOSIT in full. They said: “Since my cancellation was more than 3 days after signing the contract agreement, they will not refund my DEPOSIT in full.” It took them 4 months to demand an additional $10K. Why didn’t they tell me in the first 3 days So I will be able to cancel my contract? Just wanted to share my story so you will be aware of the NEW SCAM!!!!

Panel

Greatest regret in my life was installing solar with this company. I have not enjoyed the solar since I committed myself into these. I wished I never did.. my panels have been having one issue or the order and now it's been sitting in my backyard faulty and nothing has been done. Horrible so far

After they got funded and installed everything is impossible to talk to them! The roof refund check took forever to come there was always an excuse. The roofer texted me all the time and sent me invoices with interest accrued. When I finally received the check I deposited and there was a hold on. The roofer knew I was after them to get this check because I sent him all the screen shots from my texts and emails. The checked cleared Tuesday and the roofer was upstart I didn’t get to the bank on the same day or the next. He been waiting for this check a long time which I understand, but people work and I can’t stop my life and responsibilities in the middle of the week. I reached out to my sales person Matt in NJ he never gets back to me anymore. After the issue with the roofer I called him and he texted me back asking what I needed it. He doesn’t want to be bothered. I had signed up as an ambassador and now I’m gonna make sure that everyone I know doesn’t sign up with them since I’m gonna be the looking bad. Please find another company

Great Experience

I had a great experience with the Powur Rep. He stayed on top of the job throughout the entire process. We were amazed to watch our electric bill go down! It was a smooth and easy installation. I was concerned about my bill getting higher and higher every time FPL raised their rates, now i have peace of mind to know what my monthly nut will be every month for the next 20+ years.

Worse company every. I think they forgot I was their customer.

All of my contacts had generic voicemail that was full and simply said Bye Bye. After weeks of waiting for my roofing refund check of nearly $50.000, I was told I could borrow the remaining balance to pay the roofer until I got my check from them. They were paid over $12,000.00 almost a month ago by my loan that I am paying interest on. The best part is I have no idea or timing for a final inspection or when it will be working. Last, They damaged my new copper standing seam roof, used my dumpster and left everything else for me to pick up. Not a big fan of Powur at all.

PLEASE HELP!!!

PLEASE HELP!!! I'm in dire need of a solution to my existing solar system purchased through Powur that is no longer producing and now I have high electricity bills!! I called the utility company, and they confirmed the solar system I purchased through Powur stopped producing sometime around mid-May of this year. I have tried multiple times to call the Powur customer service number and each time, I'm on hold for hours, never able to get through to anyone. I did get in touch with someone through the instant chat system, Endia who is a customer service rep. I have explained my story over and over again, my solar inverter has a blinking light indicating I'm not producing, I have opened a case with the inverter manufacturer SolarEdge, they cannot access my system to troubleshoot because the installers that Powur provided didn't configure monitoring!!! The company that Powur vetted is now out of business and around and around and around we go. Endia from Powur provided me two possible solar service contacts, one contact said they don't service solar anymore and asked me how I got their number before rudely hanging up on me. The 2nd phone number provided by Powur, I just get a voice recording with the only option to leave a message. I have left multiple voice messages and I don't get a call back. I have communicated this to Powur customer service and the only assistance or reply I get back is "keep trying other service companies in the area". I have now called over 15 Solar companies on my own without Powur's assistance and either they don't do service, don't call me back, are booked up for months, or flat-out state they cannot work on my system since they weren't the installers. What?!! Now here's the kicker! To make matters worse, I had a very reputable Solar company tell me that they cannot work on my system since Powur holds a 30-year warranty!!! Why was this warranty not initially disclosed or discussed by Powur's customer service?! PLEASE HELP!!!

POWUR in Texas

From my first phone call through my certificate to operate, my installation was seamless. As they worked, my representative was on-site answering question I had about what was going on and what to expect. I got 11w of power, 33 panels and two power walls. I chose Enphase panels. Due to Teslas poor customer service I couldn’t, in good conscience use them. It is an investment and you need your questions answered to be certain you know what to expect. Al and his crew were here 2-3 days and afterward Al did the finishing connections for another day and a half. At all times the entire crew were courteous. They cleaned up all debris and I was up and running by the time they left. To be clear, I wasn’t doing net metering right away—there’s some things that need to happen before you start accumulating energy that where my rep was most helpful. Ray Deitrich was on-site through the entire installation. When he left there were no questions I didn’t have answered. LOL. In reality you have a bunch more questions arise. Ray was right there on the end of the phone to explain things. POWUR, in my estimation is an overlooked 5 star company! The last two months of brutal Texas heat, my power bills were ZERO. What’s not to love

Worried at first but 100% satisfied.

I was nervous at first because all of the work is subcontracted. But the price was the lowest so I took a chance. I am SO happy with the work. Powur did sub-k the work but my Powur rep and the project manager were very responsive and easy to reach. They were ready to install within a few weeks. I had to delay them because I wanted to replace my roof. The day after my roof was completed they installed. I have a friend that went with Tesla and had a completely different experience. It took a few months to get his install completed. I am also very happy with the equipment and the install. I've already convinced two of my friends to install with Powur based on my experience.

Buyer beware

My salesman told me I could bank electricity in the fall, winter, and spring so I could use them in the summer. He lied. I was told that I could use the electricity my panels were producing if the grid went down. He lied. So now I my solar panel monthly charge is about 25% more now than I was paying and that doesn't include what I pay the electric company. This summer, it will be brutal. Don't make the same mistake I did. My salesman, project manager, customer service, and installer are MIA. My last contact was 5/10/22 @ 7:37 AM If I had received what I promised, I would have give 5 stars to everything. I could give 5 stars for the way I was mislead.

Zero Stars Absolute Worst Company

Zero stars. Worst company I have ever worked with. Sub contracted all work then I was required to coordinate with the sub contractors if there was an issue. Installation was supposed to be 2 days. Waited a month to be inspected by the local power company before system could be green lighted to be turned on. After the system was green lighted to be turned on it took 4 more visits and 3 weeks for them to come out and troubleshoot between other installations. 7 full weeks between install and power output by solar panels. Another issue. I was supposed to have a connector installed with the system to use my generator for power at night and during power outages. This is not installed 2 full months since solar installation. Every step of the way communication, specifically returning my calls, has been an issue. Not merely a matter of a few minutes or hours to receive replies but several days or to a week for replies. I have called their help desk and the sales associate again and again trying to find out when my system will be completed. I am 100% fed up with them. 8 months from initial contact to nearly complete solar install with the contract being signed and permitted for 4 months of that. 4 months to go from approved permits to nearly complete solar install. DO NOT USE POWUR.

POWUR did an excellent job

Prior to meeting with a Powur representative I had visited with 3 other Solar companies. Each of the first 3 had provided a proposal that was not financially feasible for us. High Monthly payment and still had a significant monthly bill from the electric company. a friend told me about power so I got their information from him and setup an appointment. They were very timely and provided a proposal that provided me a much lower loan payment about $90 less and also a much lower bill from my electric company. Essentially I got almost double the amount of panels and for a lower loan payment and lower electrical bill. And my friend said he got a nice referral check from the company. They did a great job and I highly recommend them

Great platform connects you with solar pros all over

A technology company out to solve the solar lead generation problem with digital tools, network marketing, education, and excitement :) check out the podcast, my only complaint is that not enough people are involved yet, advisors, consultants, and especially awesome solar companies who are shortening their install seasons because they struggle with leads in-house.
