OnSite was a pleasure to work with. They kept me fully informed of my solar installation from when I first reached out to them until the project was completed and directing electrons into my electrical system and the grid. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding. All the technicians who worked on my installation were qualified and highly trained. Furthermore, I appreciated their professionalism and willingness to answer all my questions.

My new panels look great and are performing well. The whole team at OnSite was great to work with, from the installers to the sales crew. I've worked with them on two projects now, and I know they take care of their customers, with one of the projects requiring some warranty work that was taken care of quickly. My only minor complaint was that they were slammed when I contacted them (Late March 2020), and it took until the end of September before my panels were turned on. Overall I'd absolutely work with them again, though!

OnSite Energy was recommended by a neighbor and we were not disappointed. We installed a solar powered battery backup system with net metering. Throughout, communications with company were clear, project design was tailored to our needs, timelines were realistic, and the cost estimates were all-inclusive. The installation team was friendly and efficient. We received a detailed tutorial on the use of our system and the office team responded quickly to any queries. We purchased a house that had a system previously installed by OnSite Energy. We contacted them to see what it would take to increase the size of the system. From this first contact onward they were professional and easy to work with. We decided to go ahead with the project and the installation went smoothly. On our request, they quoted the job using a previously installed (not by them) wind generator inverter. At the completion of the installation, the existing inverter was unable to support the system properly. OnSite worked with us to fix the issue despite it not being their problem. We're very happy with the outcome, their service and would not hesitate in recommending them.

We love our new solar system. This was all new to us, but Conor spent as much time as necessary to help us understand the system and the financing/incentives. Sam handled the installation professionally and with very open communication. We loved the entire process and really enjoy using the app to watch our solar system work. Orion performed a thorough and accurate calculation of our energy needs, we have not paid a penny for our electricity since the system was installed. OnSite's installation crew was prompt, professional and efficient. We have recommended OnSite to everyone we know who is interested in solar panels and will continue to do so. We have not had any issues that required a call back but I feel confident that OnSite would take care of us without question if anything ever came up. Hire them, you'll be glad you did!

Onsite and their crew (including subs) were great to work with! They were very knowledgeable, timely and communicated well throughout the entire design and installation process. We did have some issues with our inverters throwing errors when the system was first started up but there were on it and the issues were resolved very quickly. We would highly recommend Onsight Energy!

I cant say enough positive things about Onsite Energy, Orion Thornton and their installation crew. Our solar panels have worked perfectly and we went nine months without paying an electric bill! If we disconnected our hot tub we would be and energy producer. It's great to be able to monitor your energy production with the online monitoring system. I'm sure the system will pay for itself in less than 10 years, then it's free electricity, not to mention not burning fossil fuels for our electric needs. The whole system works great, is a smart investment, and the right choice for our economy and environment. The only down side is when we have a heavy snow it some times takes a day or two for the snow to shed and the panels to start producing electricity again. And the shedding can be a little rough on my spring flowers.

OnSite Energy and Orion were highly recommended by friends. OnSite certainly lived up to that recommendation. In October 2017 we had 16 LG 300W panels installed. A 4.8 KW system . Orion helped us better understand PV options for our home and answered lots of questions. Orion, project manager Sarah, installers Sam and Adam and the electrician were easy to work with, professional and communicated timelines. They made the install and follow-up meter hook-up work well. This company knows what they are doing. We highly recommend OnSIte Energy.

Throughout design, installation and on-going system operation, OnSite Energy has been an excellent team to work with. They are very knowledgeable and responsive. Because of our remote location it was more economical to go with an off-grid solar system but it was also imperative that it be comprehensive. OnSite Energy clearly communicated the expectations for the various design elements of the system and they were flexible when changes needed to be incorporated due to unforeseen house construction issues. The system was fully installed and operational about six months into construction and provided power for all remaining construction. We have been living with and operating our system for two years now. Based on the detailed planning Orion performed in the design phase, we are on target with the amount of power we are generating versus what we expected to use. Over the past two years Orion has continued to keep in touch with us to ensure everything is progressing as we hoped, as well discuss operational/maintenance theories and practices. We continue to be completely satisfied with our off-grid system and OnSite Energy’s customer support.

On Site Solar brought the energy of the sun with them to all stages of our solar project. The staff is so warm, friendly, caring, professional, informed, and motivated/hardworking. They answered every question and need. They were a joy to have on the roof each morning. We are so proud of our solar array. It feels like something of an addiction to be plugged into the sun. Onsite did a stellar job of planning and installing our solar PV system. Conor spent a lot of time helping us plan exactly what we wanted and needed, Sarah was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable and walked us through all the parts of the installation, and the two installers were fast, efficient and very professional. In September of 2017, OnSite Energy installed 17 300 Watt Monocrystalline Solar black solar modules on our south-facing roof. The work was completed within two days by two courteous technicians, including installation of a SolarEdge 5kW Inverter. The system passed City inspection the first time, and it started functioning perfectly immediately after installation of the required net meter by Northwestern Energy. It was a pleasure working with the company’s representative who provided us with the initial proposal. In short, the entire process from start to finish was handled in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner, and we highly recommend OnSite to anyone contemplating a solar installation.

Onsite Energy installed a custom 3.41 kW grid-tie, stand-alone solar array at Absaroka Energy’s office in Bozeman, Montana. As this was a custom project, Orion and Conor worked very well with our other designers and fabricators on the design and scheduling of the installation. I found OnSite Energy to be professional, patient, flexible and responsive in the coordinated effort with our other contractors. I highly recommend working with Orion and OnSite Energy for your solar energy needs. The process of selecting a solar installation contractor is relatively easy in our Bozeman, MT region. There is a good supply of qualified and enthusiastic providers. After meeting with several local solar representatives I chose to use Onsite Energy. Orion at Onsite proved to be a valuable and reliable resource during the original construction phase in 2015. He worked with our general contractor's electrician to install the components needed for our eventual roof mounted solar array installed in 2017. I have to say that Conor and his entire crew were THE most knowledgeable people regarding my specific needs for a new solar setup and installation. We got 3 solar estimates (where one was an extreme "hardsell" and the salesman was showing up at unexpected, uninvited times). Working with Onsite was the best experience. Onsite not only helped us pick the best setup for "our" specific needs, they explained every feature and process in layman's language. Installation was neat and clean and timely. We already have a very small, older system which Conor inspected and confirmed it was still in good working order, not trying to get us to spend unnecessary money. We really appreciated that. Nothing is better than saving lots of money on your energy bill but also helping the environment as well! I can't recommend OnSite Energy and a new solar system enough! You will not regret the decision!

Orion and his team at Onsite energy did an outstanding job bidding, coordinating, and installing our small grid tied system (2.8kwp). They were very attentive to our questions and responsive to our timing. Especially helpful was their handling of all the paperwork, including city permitting, electrical permits, and importantly tax credits. They even reduced the price slightly from the estimate since panel prices had gone down in the meantime! All of their site work is detail orientated and carefully done. Recently they provided us with a one-year summary of our system's production, and it showed that our production exceeded their estimate slightly (5%) and was exactly right for our net-metering to cancel out our yearly electric usage. They have also responded helpfully to our concerns about a large building going in next door (potential shading issues) free of charge. All in all a top-notch, highly skilled and well-run organization!

Orion's personal approach at all stages of planning, preparation and installation insured a properly working system that to date has produced more than 1000 KW of power from the sun. Orion's personal approach, knowledge of the Solar Industry and partnership with Northwestern Energy made everything easy - he used my installation as a training event for local electricians and electrical apprentices interested in Solar Technology and proper installation procedures. Owner Orion Thornton was recommended by a few different sources. He had worked for Independent Power Systems in Bozeman for several years before striking out on his own. Orion accommodated a last minute, end-of year push by us, and wedged us in with many others who were trying to get in before the end of the calendar year, for obvious tax reasons. He was timely on quotes, accurate as could be, and responsive and clear to any questions we had. He communicated clearly, pro-actively, on installation schedule, work flow, etc. Orion also extended an opportunity to and encouraged us to obtain a soon to be available new-to-the-US inverter. He and the manufacturer lent us an interim-use inverter, switched in the new model later, and we are delighted to have a state of the art, latest generation inverter. Extra effort, proactive thinking and conscientiousness, communication really embody Orion and his company Onsite Energy.

I called a variety of solar companies in the Bozeman area and Onsite Energy was by far the best. They answered all of my questions and explained the pricing. Other companies didn't want to waste their time with a smaller project and didn't care to answer my questions. They are highly recommended.

Orion gave us A1+ service, beginning with understanding PV systems, working through the electric utility regulations, and coordinating his installation with the new roof being applied at the same time.
