Integrated Solar Applications Corp

These days it can be hard finding reliable, trustworthy contractors. But I had a good feeling from the moment ISA came for the site visit. That good feeling paid off. We couldn't be happier to have gone with them, for heat pumps and solar. They've been professional, communicative, and on the same page....I really feel like they listened to my and my wife's goals (becoming energy independent and green) and were genuinely motivated by that rather than just by the prospect of a sale. That feels exceedingly rare these days. One example is that when explaining possible heat pump arrangements, they didn't try to oversell us but were super up front about what different systems would and wouldn't be able to handle. No doubt we'll use ISA for future green projects; we've been so happy with everything they've done, from site visit to communication to install.

ISA did my heat pump system and hot water heat pump in Jacksonville VT. I had gotten a few proposals and ISA definitely were the ones who knew what they were doing best. They are very professional, thorough and back up their work. I am glad I went with ISA and highly recommend them.

We'd used ISA to install ground-mounted solar panels at our property in Windham VT in 2016. We were very happy with the service and results, so we turned to ISA again in early 2022. Our propane-fired heating system had broken down and we decided to take the opportunity to convert to heat pumps. ISA installed a hot water heat pump, several cold climate heat pumps for room air heating (Mitsubishi hyper heat systems or mini-splits), and added a second solar panel, so that we would generate enough solar energy throughout the year to power our heat pumps during the winter. We were very happy with the expert and courteous service we received from ISA and their various contractors. ISA also made sure that we received all possible rebates, taking care of all the paperwork. We felt that we were in very good hands and can highly recommend ISA.

Integrated Solar did a great job with our mini-split heat pump design and installation. The crew was respectful and listened to our questions and concerns. I feel like we received a good value for our money with a well designed and installed heating/cooling system which will meet our needs for many years. I recommend ISA for your heat pump system!

As a couple doing a gut rehab of an old house, we felt competent to be our own contractor for much of the demolition and renovation work, but when it came to designing and installing an energy efficient heating system, we needed professional help. Integrated Solar Applications provided an exceptional level of knowledge, service, and support throughout the process. We especially appreciated that they listened to what we wanted, answered all our questions and educated us to the extent we wanted, and did a quality job of installing a great heat pump system. The entire Integrated Solar Applications team was courteous and personable. And they went above and beyond in helping us access all available rebates and incentives. We highly recommend them.

Full Service/Solution and Great Team

We purchased our house in September 2016 and moved there full time in June 2017. It’s an old (1796) house and had no insulation to speak of. The “heating” system included an inefficient propane forced hot air furnace which pumped the hot air through duct work in the uninsulated stacked stone basement. Insulation and replacing the heating system were high on the list of things to do. We’d discussed solar for a long time during our search for the perfect house and both of us were committed to using renewable and very efficient energy sources. With all of that as background we began searching out contractors who could deliver what we needed. In all of this I kept hearing my father’s voice who would tell us as children that “A little information was a dangerous thing”. I came for an environmental background and Arte from construction so we had some information and a basic understanding of how some of these systems worked but it was ISA that brought it all together. From the first visit Katrina listened to what we wanted to do and offered suggestions and solutions. The house has a tennis court that we’d targeted as a place for a vegetable garden. Early on in our conversations Katrina pointed out that it was perfectly orientated for solar. Now the panels and the future garden share the space. We knew we’d be managing a number of other contractors so it was a big point for ISA that they offered a full service solution. There are any number of solar providers out there but for a system like the one we envisioned we wanted a contractor who could engineer a solution for us, explain it in terms we understood, and integrate all the moving parts so they worked together the first time. I want to mention the ISA team. They were the nicest bunch of people, professional, hardworking, and easy to work with. Arte took on some of the demo and worked with Jennings, one of the ISA installers. Between Jennings and Arte they were able to fish the lines for the 5 inside units of the cold climate heat pump system through the old house with minimal demo. Communication was another area where ISA excelled. Katrina and I exchanged email all the time, questions were answered, information was provided, all in all a great job. We highly recommend ISA! Now that everything is installed, all of the contractors are gone and we have had an opportunity to review the past six months we can both say we are very pleased with how it all tuned out. It went to -6 last night and the cold climate heat pumps kept us warm.
