A first-rate experience with Good Energy Solutions which began with a knowledgeable Sale's Rep, Ian followed by a discussion with the VP, Jeff and then meeting the professional solar installers/electricians (Andrew, Chance, Anthony, Jeramiah, Peter and Greg). This team "walked me " throughout the entire process. Did a ground mount install on my farm in additional to an install of two Tesla Powerwall 2 models. The team was extremely efficient, friendly and knowledgeable about how to install, interrogate and program the solar arrays and batteries. This company is the one to "go with".

2 months of researching and looking at buyers' online reviews. We decided to go with the only U.S. solar company, SunPower, and Good Energy Solutions as our installer. SunPower because the panels, the microinverters, and the mounting bracket are supposed to be covered by them for 25 years. GES installer because they have the highest local review at that time, and with Lifetime Workmanship Warranty. GES seller rep. was great, and our project was handed to Christina Carroll, GES VP. Everything went downhill after that. Her communication was the worst. Every call we made to her went straight to voice mail. And we never got a callback from the voice mails that was left. Emails that were sent, never get reply from her. We constantly have to contact the sell rep. about our project, which he has to contact her for information. This went on for about 6 months, and all we got were an inspector home visit to make sure solar can be installed on our roof. At 7 months is when we found out the truth about our whole project. We were going to cancel our installation with Good Energy Solutions, and that's when she emailed us that they couldn't get permitting for our area. Good Energy end up contracting out our project to a local installer, EFS. 2 years into our solar system, SunPower finally updated their app to where individuals' panels can be monitored. We found out that for more than a year, one of the panels never produced energy. We contacted SunPower, and they told us to get a hold of GES. We contacted Good Energy about the panel, and they told us it's going to cost over $1,000 for them to just show up. Even though we were assured that all the workmanship done by EFS will still be covered by GES. Good Energy had to contract this work back to EFS again. After talking with EFS for the work, they said it would be $300 for them to send someone out to troubleshoot. And $300 more for them to come back out to replace any parts that are bad. They told us to replace the part ourselves if we want to save some money. Neither SunPower or Good Energy Solutions talking about the cost to send someone for services. Our advice is to go with someone within driving distance and have the permit to work in your area if you really want solar that bad. Otherwise, just forgo getting solar all together. The amount of saving IS NOT worth the headaches of owning the system. 3 coworkers went through similar headaches with solar, and they all would have never installed solar if they knew beforehand.

Just wanted to update my comments. It’s been about 9 months since we had our system installed and after a couple of technical hiccups all is well. It’s preforming as it’s supposed to. We are now looking to upgrade and add batteries.

I hired Good Energy Solutions to install a PV system on our home with SunPower solar panels. I was the first to install solar in my neighborhood and they were very helpful getting HOA approval with an aesthetically pleasing system design. After nearly 7 months I’m pleased to report that the performance of our solar panels have been good since our system was activated in the fall of 2021. The panels have withstood Kansas weather including high winds, hail and snow and have generated 9,569 kWh of electricity which is 102% of our home usage. That includes the electricity to charge an electric vehicle. Other than the standard charge to remain connected to the grid, we have effectively erased our electric bill as well as the bill to fuel one of our cars! Our home value has increased significantly as a result of the solar project.

Customer service and installation were excellent. From the very beginning when we sat down to design what we wanted on our house, to the installation that was done quick and professionally, to finally the thorough follow up we get, even to this day!

I haven't thought much about the panels since they were installed 18 months ago. They just work and I see the results on the app. I thank my neighbors for telling me to check out Good Energy Solutions. The install was well planned and executed. Strongly recommend!

GES completed a complete 4 Kilowatt system at my house in Overland Park. They worked with me regarding sizing the system, panel layout, and rectifier location. They submitted permit applications to my local utility and the City of Overland Park. The installation was performed very well, and I am pleased with the system performance. I highly recommend GES for your needs.

Generally you pay for what you get. I am a very picky person and interviewed 3 solar providers before settling on GES. I don't regret the decision and have nothing but positive things to say about every step of the process from initial consultation to commissioning. I would caution however orientation matters a lot. I have 14 panels on west side and 8 panels on the south so I only generated 6.707kWh last year where if all oriented south would probably produce 8.866kWh.

We recommend Good Energy Solutions. The representative was very helpful going over the options, and the crew worked diligently on the installation. In a few days we had flipped the switch, and we were generating our own electricity. Even on a partly cloudy day, we generate enough electricity to pay for the clothes dryer, and on a bright sunny day we are selling electricity back to the grid. I had Good experience overall with Good Energy Solutions. The entire crew was friendly and professional, and worked hard to address all our issues to deliver the best solution. They were able to use SunPower technology and also installed a whole house backup generator. We would do it all over again with Good Energy Solutions if the opportunity presented itself.

We had done a lot of research about solar but still had several questions. We had spoken with another local solar company prior to Good Energy, and they were much more interested in selling us than answering our questions. However, Good Energy answered all of our questions without pressure and made us feel incredibly comfortable with our decision. Working with Good Energy Solutions to install my solar panel system proved to be a good choice. The process is lengthy and requires coordination of many groups, including those internal to Good Energy and external entities, including the site/installation inspectors and the power company. From my initial meeting with their salesperson, through the physical install, and on to the final go live date, the Good Energy staff were very engaged in their work and always responsive to my questions about the product and/or process. Good Energy staff were both technically knowledgeable and did a good job of managing the project.

I selected Good Energy Solutions to install my solar installation because the product they sold had the best warranty of all those I considered. I have been totally satisfied with the company, with my 10kW ground-mounted array being completed earlier than promised and on-budget. All company personnel I met, from sales staff to engineering to installers were courteous, conscientious, and professional. They showed up when promised and all seemed to be highly-qualified in their respective areas. We started our solar project after Thanksgiving and were concerned that it wouldn't be completed by the end of the year but Good Energy Solutions came through with time to spare, and our system went live on December 8. I highly recommend this company for any solar installation.

From the very first interview with good energy solutions I knew I would be happy with all aspects. Their honesty, integrity, worksmanship, and true caring about doing the right thing has shown throughout this whole process. The solar panels on our roof look fantastic, the energy produced by them is right where we wanted it to be, and certainly I am very proud to say that we worked and partnered with good energy solutions!

The sales process and the installation process was straightforward. Mike Schumann was responsive in pricing out various options. He was very patient with the elongated approval process ( over 4 months) of our neighborhood fictional HOA. The installation crew members ( special thanks to Mike Lee, Justin Browning and Justin Palmer) were prompt, friendly and efficient. The install crew went above what was expected of them to do a great job. The final installation was unobtrusive and looked good on our roof. The panels blended in well with our roof color. The conduit from the panels was routed under the panels so you don’t really see them. There were was a minor system monitoring glitch at first, but that was quickly repaired by Justin Browning. The computer monitoring of our system appears to be working just fine now. The computer monitoring of our system is cool technology. We have had the system up and working for about a week. I don't have much to say about how the system is decreasing our electric bill at this time. We average about 22 kWh per day and thus far it is generating that much electricity with the good solar days we have enjoyed lately. Good Energy Solutions seem to favor selling systems over leasing them and in our tax bracket, purchasing a system and taking advantage of the federal tax credit ourselves made more sense than leasing. The whole financial process went smoothly. It was accomplished in three payments: down payment, install completion payment and final payment when KCP&L installed the new solar meter. All in all, we are super happy that we went with Good Energy Solutions, Inc. We would highly recommend them for a home solar panel installation.

We have been interested in converting all or much of our energy use from propane to solar for some time. We had serious concerns about our ability to find a reliable company. My wife and I met with or otherwise vetted six other companies before we hired Good Energy Solutions. They were by far best in all categories. They met with us and simply explained their product and service without hype or pressure. They were the only company we met with that would provide accurate specifications of the materials used and backed it up with manufacturers specs and brochures. They used verifiable quality material. You might assume that all installation companies would provide this level of detail, but that was not our experience. The installers were knowledgeable, timely and kept us informed all steps of the way. They explained what would be done, how it would be done and how long it would take. I highly recommend Good Energy Solutions.

I highly recommend Good Energy Solutions for all your solar energy needs. They are very helpful and take the time to review your past electrical bill and recommend the best system based on your current electrical needs. The work is done on time and within the budget given to you. My electric bill has gone from $60.00 - $200.00/month to $22.00 per month. The highest air conditioning bill so was $40.00. Based on the past several months electrical bills, I will have my solar system paid off in approximately 8 years.

We have had the system installed for almost four months. The first two months (April, May) we generated more power than we used. In a very hot June we used about $25 of electricity. All in all, we are very happy that we went with Good.

Every person I have had contact with at this company has been helpful above and beyond, knowledgable, and absolutely professional and friendly. They take time to explain every stage of the solar panel installation, and are very forthcoming in answering questions. The work was done in a timely and focused manner and they even came out later to follow up and make sure everything was working correctly. I have recommended them to all my friends who have expressed interest in solar energy, and will continue to do so. My electric bill has gone from $80.00-$125.00/month to about $20.00/month. The highest air conditioning bill I've had was about $50.00. I really can't say enough good things about Good Energy Solutions! Best financial decision I ever made.

Very professional organization. Answered and explained all our non-engineer Solar related questions so we clearly understood what to expect. Excellent job coordinating with our local power company, no issues. Could not have asked for a better installation team. Always willing to explain what they were doing and taking the time to explain more of our Home Related questions. We were extremely happy with our experience and how we were treated. Service calls, a few times after going operational some error messages appeared on the system. A technician arrived within 24 hours to fine tune the system, awesome. Without reservation I recommend Good Energy Solutions to any home owner wanted to install a Solar system.

In mid 2012, I started looking into solar and wind turbines solutions to get some help with the electric bill and to take advantage of the nice rebates being offered. I found going with Good Energy Solutions was a good value and they were easy to work with. My 10kW solar system wasinstalled October 2012. All the rebate paperwork was taken care of for KCP&L and all the city inspections, etc. Everything was done to my specifications and installation went smooth. I am very satisfied with my solar panel system and how easy it was to get installed and up and running. Really like the Enlighten web site where you can get current information on each solar panel and generate historic energy reports. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for Solar and Wind solutions. I would also do business with them again. My last electric bill was -$2.58. Yes that's a negative.
