Future Energy Savers

We first met Future Energy Savers in 2023 at a local Tri-County Home & Garden Show in Sacramento and scheduled an in-home appointment with James about a week and a half later. From the start, James was incredibly thorough and transparent. He walked us through the company’s history, general solar education, technical details of the panels and batteries, and what customer support looks like after installation. The initial meeting lasted close to three hours, and at no point did we feel rushed or pressured. Future Energy Savers was the third solar company we spoke with, and at the time, we truly wanted to move forward with them. Unfortunately, we had just purchased our home and our credit had taken a hit from the new mortgage, so we were not approved for financing. We were honest with James and let him know we would revisit solar in about a year. About a year later, James followed up. At that time, my husband and I still weren’t quite ready, but he remained professional and respectful. In mid-2025, with PG&E bills becoming ridiculously high and the solar tax credit set to expire at the end of 2025, we were finally motivated to move forward. Since our initial meeting in 2023, I had also done a lot of independent research and felt very confident in the quality, design, and performance of the panels and storage batteries Future Energy Savers offers. James came out again and tailored the meeting since we already had a strong understanding of solar. He provided an updated quote, answered our questions, and we decided to move forward. Prior to installation, a technical site visit was completed to determine panel placement and system components on our roof and around the house. After this visit, it was determined that we would not be able to install the originally quoted 14 kW system due to roof limitations and panel orientation, and we were advised to downsize to a 7 kW system. This was disappointing news initially, but this is where Rob, the General Manager, really stood out. Rob took the time to have an extended and thoughtful conversation with me about how to best address the downsizing. He patiently answered all of my questions and worked through different options with me until we found a solution that made sense. Ultimately, we increased our battery storage to help offset the reduced system size. In the end, we actually saved money on the total contract price and reached a resolution that felt fair and customer-focused. While the situation wasn’t ideal at first, I truly appreciated Rob’s patience, transparency, and willingness to find a solution that worked for us. Once everything was finalized, installation was scheduled about a month and a half later. The installation itself took two days, and the crew was excellent—on time, professional, friendly, and very careful with our property. They answered questions throughout the process and clearly took pride in their work. Future Energy Savers handled all permitting with the city and coordinated system activation with PG&E. From installation to full activation, it took a little over a month, which felt reasonable given PG&E timelines. Our system went live in July 2025, and we’ve been very happy with the decision to go solar. With rising energy costs, it’s reassuring to see monthly savings and feel more in control of our electrical usage. Post-install support has been solid. We’ve had two service calls—both for the same PV link issue. While it took a few weeks for a technician to come out each time, the second visit stood out because Future Energy Savers immediately replaced the part instead of going back and forth troubleshooting. Since then, we’ve had no further issues. Overall, we are very happy with Future Energy Savers—from the detailed and educational sales process, to consistent follow-up, a smooth installation, thoughtful problem-solving, and dependable post-install support. We would recommend them to anyone considering solar and looking for a company that genuinely puts the customer first.

From our first encounter with Frankie at the CA State Fair, to James the Salesman, Lisa in the office, Rob the Project manager, Generac our solar company and a several others, the Job was well done. The installation of the Solar looks Beautiful, We are already seeing savings and with the Battery installed, the system, worked as promised, when we had a power outage in our neighborhood last week. We decided to go with Future Energy Savers because of the technology the offered. In particular on the inverter and storage side of the equation. The Generac equipment offers a dedicated inverter enhancing the efficiency of conversion and the battery pack is modular allowing for greater flexibility. The installation was very professionally done and minimally invasive. The only reason for not receiving a 5 star rating: it would have been beneficial to be educated on the 30% reserve on the battery that is standard to protect against outages and the life of the battery. it also would have been nice to have documentation on how to protect the longevity of the batteries. It would be beneficial to have easier access to the different pre-programmed time of use settings that Generac has to offer. This took a bit of individual research to find and interpret. Overall we were very happy with our experience with Future Energy Savers.

After being approached by several solar representatives over the past six to twelve months who never followed up, we were fortunate to schedule an appointment with a representative from Future Energy Savers. He was knowledgeable and patiently answered all our questions. We especially appreciated the custom calculations that took into account our planned inground pool installation and existing electric car charger, clearly showing the potential savings. The entire installation took about three weeks to complete. The solar panels are nicely and perfectly arranged on the roof, and the system was up and running immediately. The Generac power cabinet and controller were carefully installed on the side of the house. We are extremely pleased with the professional and careful way all the equipment was installed. Communication throughout the process was seamless; the team was very responsive and available whenever we needed to contact them. All installation crews were professional, accommodating to our schedule, and always on time. They minimized noise to avoid bothering neighbors, and the work area was consistently cleaned upon completion. There was no damage to the roof or house walls, and they even painted the conduits to match the existing house paint. The system includes a user-friendly app that allows us to easily monitor energy production and usage from the solar panels and batteries, no matter where we are. Overall, the outcome was beyond our expectations, and we highly recommend Future Energy Savers. Installing the solar system is one of the best improvements we've made to our house, and we are also happy to be making a positive contribution to the environment.

Our experience with Future Energy Savers was incredible from the initial phone call to the final inspection and beyond! The meeting with the sales team was amazing. Brianna took the time to explain EVERYTHING in complete detail, and she provided written documentation to support her answers. We were very impressed with that, it showed us WE were important to her, not just the sell! We were on the fence about going solar, but after meeting with Brianna, we could not wait to get started. Future Energy Savers has dedicated team members for each phase of an install. We worked with many different employees, we would like to name them all personally, but to be honest we do not remember all of their names. What we do remember is that every one of them were extremely professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and so very, very nice. We are proud to be a part of the Future family! We are glad we choose the Generac battery system. It holds a good charge and is easy to use. We love the Generac app that allows us to see everything the battery is doing with a click of a button. It shows how much solar is being generated and it shows the state of charge of the battery. We can even see when we are using the power company and how much we are selling back to them. We love it when that figure is a lot larger than what we are using! We are so glad we finally went solar. We are saving a lot of money in electricity costs. Our last electricity bill was $18.34! We are also very glad we found Future energy Savers, the absolute best to work with.

We interviewed a couple of different solar companies when we started looking to install a solar system on our home. We chose future energy savers because their services met our needs. And they would allow us to buy the system outright. They were very helpful in designing the system to our special needs. We wanted specific installation locations for both the panels and the box as well as our EV charger. They were very helpful and made excellent suggestions. The installation went very smoothly and quickly. They even ran the conduit at my request up under the eaves to hide them and I provided the paint and they painted them to match my house. The installers were very graceful, professional, and accommodating. We would highly recommend them. The only regret we have is we didn’t buy more battery capacity.
