I had several leaks under solar panels. One of their techs, Sam came, went into attic and found the leaks. Solar panels were not attached properly. Sam took off panels, took off, the attachments, put new sealant down, re-installed attachments and put solar panels back. GREAT job. Very happy with the work.

I needed my roof replaced due to storm damage and reached out on a Friday to have my solar panels taken down in preparation for the work. They immediately arranged for the panels to be removed the following Thursday. Joe connected me with Cory from Lionheart Roofing, who went above and beyond to fit me into his schedule and got my roof redone that Friday. By the following Wednesday, my solar panels were already reinstalled and my system was fully operational again. They even added a consumption meter at my request, allowing me to see exactly how much energy my home is using alongside how much power it is producing—such a helpful feature! The company who originally installed our solar panels went bankrupt and out of business. Our inverter quit working and we had a small leak from the original install. Joe with Florida Power Services sent Kyle and Isaiah out to look at our system within a couple of days. Both Kyle and Isaiah were extremely professional and helpful. Florida Power Services was able to help resolve the issue with the inverter and fix the leak quickly and at a very affordable rate. I now feel much more secure having Florida Power Services as my go-to solar company.

The way to run a business!

This company was 100% professional. I had a leak after hurricane Debby. The roofers who had replaced the roof blamed the solar panels. When FL Power Services came out they were able to diagnose the problem and took pictures demonstrating the leak was due to the roofers not sealing the conduit box properly. The gentleman sealed it and the whole process, while being thorough, took about an hour. I would call them for any solar power needs.

Florida Power Services did an exceptional job installing our solar panels and equipment on August 2nd and 3rd 2024. Joe Forest, the owner was exceptional to work with and the pre-system education he provided was invaluable. My wife and I had a conference call with Joe and we went over several questions with him. He was on point with all the answers. Joe’s installers are company employees and he does not use third party subcontractors. He owns the entire job and this was a major selling point for us. His installers, Isaiah and Kyle were fabulous, meticulous, and their attention to detail was second to none as I very closely observed the entire installation. Florida Power Services has been in business Since 2007, they are an NABCEP Certified Installer, they provide the Most Reliable Solar Equipment and Clean Installation, the Panel Layout Looks Great, they 100% Handled Everything. The Flashed Roof Attachments Ensure There Are No Roof Leaks, and the Online Monitoring Accurately Tracks My Savings. Florida Power Services also does their own monitoring of all their customers’ solar systems. It Blends in Nicely, Conduit Gives Wires Maximum Protection, and the Crew Worked Well Together and Cleaned Up After Themselves. We could not be happier with Florida Power Services. Decent Install No Followup

The installation went fine once a defective inverter part was replaced. Caveat emptor: you are on your own once the installation is complete. The only contact you will get from them is an aggressive ‘where’s my money’ call.

Perfect experience

We were unfortunate victims of the Brevard Solar debacle and after getting quotes from multiple companies, we were about to give up on solar. Thankfully, I reached out to Hoe with Florida Power Services. This was the first company that presented with no flags or obstacles. Joe was straightforward and helpful every step of the way. While it wasn't the cheapest quote we received, it was the greatest value in terms of equipment, service, and quality. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. This was truly a perfect experience.

If you are considering solar, go with this company! My husband and I reached out to numerous solar companies and had very back luck with anyone following up with us after an initial call. On the other end of the spectrum, Joe was incredibly responsive and honest - I didn't get the impression that he was trying to push product on us, rather, he gave facts and his thoughtful opinion when we asked for it. After reviewing quotes from other companies, we found that Florida Power Services offered the best prices for what we were looking for, and now we know they also offer excellent service. Joe also worked with our roofing company to ensure we had the most appropriate roof put on for the panels. As we waited for the roofing company to finish, Joe was very flexible and patient despite the roofer's changing deadlines. Once we were ready for the solar panel installation, Joe's company immediately and quickly completed the work. Joe continually checked in with us during and after this entire process to make sure we were happy with the product/work - which we are! We are now almost fully powered by solar and making back the money we spent for it. If you're looking for an affordable solar option from a very trustworthy and responsive company, go with Florida Power Services. It's a huge financial investment, so I am taking this recommendation very seriously.

good install

Install went well with no problems and no delays. Joe and his crew showed up when they said they would. Total price of materials/labor was good and much cheaper than the Vivint and Solar City groups. Installed about 9mos ago, and still working well with no issues.

Great Service

We have an existing solar system which was installed prior to purchasing our home. The original installer is no longer in business. We had called at lest 5 Solar Power type companies to see if we could the system checked out and also do some preventive maintenance. 3 of the 5 companies either didn't answer the phone and never called back even after multiple attempts and voice mails One company I did speak with said they would not check out system unless we planned on adding / buying additional products. Florida Power Services not only answered the phone, set an appointment and arrived on time did a through inspection for a reasonable price. They also helped us get a better understanding of the system we have and its features and benefits. I would recommend using Florida Power Services to anyone exploring the solar arena for their home or business..

I had a problem with my solar system installed by Guardian (BAD). Florida Power Services was recommended by a friend. Joe took care of the problem quickly. He was very knowledgeable and informative and his price was more than fair which is always a plus. I highly recommend them.

Superlative Service and Product

Florida Power Services recently finished installing our 11.6 K solar system and we cranked it up last week. I have worked with contractors in a field other than solar power and gone through detailed bid procedures. We didn’t do that in this case but we were looking for the same thing we always do in more rigorous bidding processes and that is, finding the least-cost-competent contractor. The simple translation for that term is, “Best Bang for the Buck.” We found that with this company. The owner, Joe Forest, is very direct and honest in his dealings and will let you know what he thinks is the best solution to your energy-producing requirements. I received a detailed quote and checked that, along with what Joe told me about the system components and projected performance. Everything I was told checked out and we got the process started. From there, we immediately received engineering drawings and paperwork for permits and within a week, work began. The installation crew, including the owner have obviously done a few of these and there was an efficient, coordinated effort resulting in a clean, finished product in two days. The panels look sharp and all conduit, inverter boxes and other hardware reflect a top professional installation. Upon completion, the crew took aerial shots of the house and solar hardware via drone and sent us a picture from above showing the finished product. We could not be happier with the entire process and result and give Florida Power Services our highest recommendation.

Battery Backup Retrofit

Key summary details: Joe quickly responded to emails and phone calls. His solution was competitively priced. The quality of his work was exceptional. Background: I had an existing grid-tied 5KwH system with a battery backup that needed a redesign to properly manage the battery bank. Joe proposed a solution that accomplished what the original installation company could not do, and he designed it to be forward-compatible if I wanted to scale the battery bank larger in the years ahead. His work was precise. Do you want to build a short list of installers? Ask to see photos of the electrical and communications wiring. If quality exists in places where you can't typically see it, you can be sure quality is present throughout.

We love the $10 Duke Energy bills!!

We had Joe of Florida Power Services Inc. install a 10.1 KW system 18 months ago on our roof in St. Pete Beach. During the quotes and installation, Joe was great to work with - he really knows solar! The installation was no fuss, no muss as far as we were concerned; in a few days it was all done and once Duke approved it and installed the special meter, our electric bills plummeted. We generate excess electricity in the fall and spring, so last summer in June and July we had enough credits that our bills were still the Duke minimum fee amount of $10 - and that was with the air conditioning going in the summer! In August we did end up having to pay $40 or $50, but that is really a drop in the bucket. We don't know the system is there and it just does its thing, soaking up the sun's rays. I am really amazed that folks easily spend over a million on a house on the beach, but do not look do go solar - it is a great financial investment, and it is satisfying to know you are going green.

(Joe) as they have completed my 1St phase (2013) of my system in 2013 and now doing my 2ND in July 2015) phase with Battery back and Joe is putting in top of the line system for me and us really the most honest and trustworthy contractor I have ever work with you can trust him not only for the work and material but most importantly your money as he stands by his word!!!! Excellent FPS System

We love our FPS solar system! Joe and his team did the installation in 4 weeks - start to finish. System passed Country and Utility inspections 1st time through - the system was activated and started saving money on day 1! Joe's power output estimates were conservative (~45% usage reduction); we've been more in the 65% range! If this rate continues, the payback period will be well under 7 years! Joe walked us through the process; everything went as planned with no hidden charges or delays. His workmanship, attention to detail, and efficient installation are top notch!

Service after the sale

I had some roof problems that had nothing to do with my solar system from Florida Power Services. But it meant I had to get Joe's help temporarily removing some panels so the roofing company could do their work. Joe was available to help and did a GREAT JOB for a really great price. Hey I was over a barrel and needed help. Instead of taking advantage of the situation Joe did the complete opposite and really came to the rescue. In a world of unreliable contractors and service people, Joe stands out by far as one of the best. Oh, and by the way my system has been working great for a year now. The system should pay for itself in 4 more years. Meanwhile, my power bills have been slashed in half!

Very pleased with the company and contact Joe Forest. Joe provided a good quote and held the project cost to his quoted price. After initiating the project, Joe found out the quoted solar panels were on backorder. He sourced higher quality US made panels and even though they cost more, he kept to the original price. The installation went smoothly and quickly, passing inspection the first time. Throughout the project, Joe kept me informed and was very responsive. Best price, excellent products, professional installation

Florida Power Services installed a 14.3KW PV solar system and a solar water heater. I'm very satisfied with the products installed, but most of all I am happy with the contractor and the installation. All of my questions were answered, they helped me with multiple forms for the power company. We have had a couple of quotes, these guys had the best price, but the product and installation was top notch. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company.

I applied for $ 20,000 in rebates. If FPS was late, or didn`t follow the guidelines, my rebate might not have been awarded. I was very worried about getting the system done within the time limit and with all the rules followed perfectly. FPS helped me with the rebate paperwork. Every inspection was flawless and I got my rebate in a very short time. It was clear that FPS knew exactly what they were doing. I have ZERO complaints. Nothing went wrong and the system was on time, and actually performs better than I expected. That is, they were conservative with their estimates of the system`s generation ability. Very happy. FPS took the mystery out of this process. It was explained clearly, and everything that was explained happened ON TIME.

I am very picky and inquisitive, the contractor always took his time explaining the work and how each component operated. I couldn`t be happier with both the system and the contractor/crew. The contractor filled in all the paperwork that I had to submit to the power company, all I had to do is review and sign. I can confidently say that I wouldn`t hesitate to do business with this contractor in the future Although the contractor couldn`t directly manage the net meter installation and inspections. As well as rebate application. He always provided me with nearly completed forms that I just had to sign, date, and submit. The contractor did everything he could to make this as easy as possible.

The only troubles we had came from delays with our local power company. FPS maintained contact with them throughout to try to keep the process moving. We are very happy with our PV system, and excited to be able to track solar energy production online, too. Answered that yes, we would have installed a renewable energy system without the incentive... But, I mean we would eventually have done it... Probably after several more years of saving up funds.

Working with Joe Forest & Florida Solar Specialists was a pleasure, from our first meeting discussing my options, thru the system installation, inspections, & finally, the excitement of going on-line & producing my own power.
