Exact Solar

Exact Solar Rules !!

Exact Solar's owner-operator, Mark, is punctual, HONEST, friendly, and most importantly; Mark is technically knowledgeable. He will guide you thru the options you need, and help you avoid any speed bumps, along the way. Of all the contractors I have befriended during my search for solar solutions, Mark, without any doubt, is the best choice for solar installations. My specific install is for solar hot water, and the unit and installation, are working flawlessly, years later. I could not be ore pleased with my 2 4x8 panels, and 80 gallon tank with 220 v backup electrical. The only user adjustment I decide to do, from time - to - time, is to shut off the back up electrical - so that I heat my water solely with solar energy! With Mark guiding me thru my options and choices, I was able to pick up on this tidbit and it pays in dollars and cents saved in electrical costs - every sunny day I encounter. I am so pleased with Exact Solar's residential hot water install; that I have decided to contact Mark, once again, and ask to be brought up to date with affordable solar panels to generate electricity. Knowing his ethics, I know that I will always be in good hands - from a shade analysis; to cost benefits; to installation and maintenance.

I Dislike Cloudy Days Now

In a month that is mostly sunny my electric bill is $7.12 for the month. And once I get through a summer I expect it will be that way year round due the amount of energy that I am banking, The tendency of people that I discuss my system with is to ask what the payback period is. I ask them if they expect a payback period when they install an in ground pool. It's an improvement to the house that took Exact Solar less than two days to install and yes it will eventually pay for itself.

Solar Project Plus

Mark Bortman, the owner of Exact Solar, has been in the solar business since 2005, does only solar and is very knowledgeable about the technology and the vendors. Mark reviewed the system requirements, savings expectations, tax credits and expected start date with me before I signed the agreement - he patiently answered all questions and made sure I understood the process including installation of the panels, wiring by electrician and interconnection with PECO. He did the panel installation himself with help from some assistants. Work began on agreed-upon date and completed on schedule. Waste materials were cleaned up at the end of each day. All the paperwork for state rebate, PECO connection, etc was initiated by Mark - all I had to do was sign. Mark kept me informed, through e:mail, on the status of the various phases of the project. System has been "on" since August and I haven't owned PECO anything since!! He is now installing batteries to be recharged by the solar panels as my back-up power supply should power in my area be disrupted.

EXCELLENT Service

Mark and Dara are great. They were very professional and compassionate. The process went smooth. In Nov. 2013 my family was left without hot water and heat when the boiler for our oil busted. We were in the process of getting solar water anyhow but it would not be ready for installation for a few more weeks. As soon as Mark and Dara found out they immediately ordered the hot water tank and installed it right away so that I would have electric hot water until the full solar installation. I'm very grateful for this. They are very accommodating and they work with you. I'm also very impressed with how organized they are. I received an owner's manual in a binded folder and an explanation of how the system works. I will definitely do business with them in the future. They are a exemplary company of how a business should care for their customers.

SOLAR IN SJ

I have been thinking about solar for a long time and have talked to many installers about my project. I came across Exact Solar's website and decided one more estimate would not hurt. I am glad that I did! I think that Mark and Dara were great! I probably emailed them at least a couple of hundred times going over all the questions that came up as I started to really look at getting this done. They were very patient and very responsive in giving me accurate information to help me make an informed decision. In the end I had narrowed it down to 2 installers that I felt comfortable were good honest people and would do a good job. At that point I ended up with Exact because his price point was really unbeatable for what you are getting. He had given me a few different options and will design a system anyway you would like; however, Mark will not sell you something that he thinks is not going to work for your situation. I ended up going with a roof mounted array using SMA inverters and Axitec panels. Although the installation phase is complete we are still dealing with getting paperwork in so that we can complete the interconnection process. Hope this happens sooner than later. So far everything seems to be working well, considering all the snow and bad weather we have had in January. No roof leaks, thank god! I think that if you are considering going solar you should really talk to Mark and Dara; they are very honest people and will give you a very fair assessment of your situation as well as answer any questions you may have. I have to say that solar installers are offering many different programs, buyer be ware here; some sound great but do your home work. I think that some are very bad deals that installers are selling out there!! It is really hard to compare apples to apples because of all the variables and choices you have available to you. It is in this regard that I really liked using Exact Solar, their honesty and commitment to solar and renewable energy makes a big difference. At the end of the day dealing with an honest installer is priceless and the fact that they are very competitive price wise is just icing on the cake! Give them a call you will not be disappointed.

Adding Solar Panel to my home

Dara & Mark were exceptional to work with. They kept in constant communication regarding the project from quote through instillation. After the State of PA ran out of funds that we had factored into the project and we owed them an additional $7500 they allowed us to come up with a flexible payment schedule. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have any type of solar roof installed.

EXACT SOLAR REV IEW

Our experience the Exact Solar was wonderful. Both Mark and Dara Bortman are knowledgable and easy to work with. Although the process takes some time I found ait interesting that a collegue of mine at work statred the solar process ouround the same time we did. They went with Solar City. My system went on line on 9/11/2013. She just got on line about a week ago and it is mid Dec. The price was easy to live with and Mark and Dara work with us on that is well. I would definately recommend to anyone considering solar power.

Very pleased with Exact Solar!

When we started looking into solar panels, some solar companies we called refused to even come give us an estimate because they thought there were too many trees around our house. We also had companies that wanted to sell us much bigger systems that probably wouldn't have been efficient. Exact Solar was the perfect balance between those two extremes. Mark Bortman was always professional, polite and prompt, and he was realistic about how much solar energy we could produce. Our project ran on time and he and his team were always respectful of our house and property. We have been so pleased with our system!

Excellent Experience

We had a 6kWatt system (24 modules) installed on our house, which will provide close to 70% of our yearly electricity needs. Initially, we requested estimates from 3 companies, all highly rated on Angie's List. Exact Solar impressed us from start to finish: Mark and Dara spent a fair amount of time inspecting our roof and discussing the options, and their quote assumed very reasonable predictions for inflation etc - the little things that can make a proposal look better than it truly is. Mark collected the necessary permits within less than a month, and the installation itself was done in 3 days. The system looks great, and has performed a bit above prediction for the first few months. Mark and Dara have been in contact regularly after installation - we can tell that long-term customer service is very important to them. Overall, we could not be happier!

Very Happy!!!

The permit process and installation were quick and seamless. Very little interruption to our daily lives. We were excited to get our first electric bill after installation, and are even more excited to say that it was about 180% less than we expected! Our next bill should be here in a week or so, and I'm excited to see if the savings continue. Based on the estimates, the panels would have paid for themselves in about 7 years. At this rate, we will be done much, much sooner!!! I highly recommend Exact Solar. Mark and Dara will take care of you.

Exact Solar Review

We were amazed how easy the installation was. Mark Bortman explained the process very well and was considerate in his work. I highly recommend Mark to any potential customer. Mark is a very thoughtful person who knows the business very well. Since the solar panels were just installed in June, it is difficult to know our savings thus far.

So happy with our new system

Exact Solar installed our 10Kw solar system in late April 2013 and we have been thrilled with it. Mark and Dara were great at our initial meeting and answered all my questions. Mark provided extensive information, set my expectations, and provided an ROI document along with the system quote. Installation was exactly on schedule and very professional. Post sales support was excellent with Mark handling paperwork from the Peco Interconnect agreement to my PA Sunshine Program rebate. He was present for the electrical and township inspections and really made the entire process go very smooth. I highly recommend Exact Solar based upon my experiences.

Love our solar heater!

Exact Solar did a great job educating us on the solar heater for our pool, installing it, and teaching us how to use and care for our system. We love it!

Solar Hot Water

Mark was very helpful getting my self-installed system back on-line. He diagnosed the issues and fixed them quickly and for a reasonable price.

System works well, delivered as promised

Low-key, professional advice and smooth installation. Appreciated how Exact Solar walked us through the process for applying for state incentives and agreed to provide a partial rebate that would only be repaid if the state incentives came through.

Patient and Great Support

I had a ton of questions, Mark answered all of them! I have referred Mark to a couple of my friends.

Excellent!!!!!

Overall great experience! This is how a contractor should be!!

I was very please with the professional and organized methods of the work. We had a small problem with water overpressure. Mark made several visits and eventually corrected the problem. I especially liked his clear and easy-to-understand explanations. I anticipated a Pa rebate which has yet to materialize. Although I understood all along the we were at the tail end of the rebate incentives, I think I still expected to receive it.

Excellent service. Mark was very responsive and always got right back to us when we had questions.

Mark did a great job, I would recommend him.

Just an absolutely fantastic experience. Great job and great support
