!!! Do Not Use CORONADO SOLAR !!! Over 2 years ago we signed a contract for a 15.3kw solar system with a 36kw whole home battery backup using GENERAC equipment. !!! IT STILL DOESN'T WORK !!! We have had multiple discussions via text and phone with Coronado Solar and GENERAC to no avail. We are stuck having an electric bill and making monthly payments for a GENERAC solar system that does NOT work!!!

My husband and I were very interested in solar for our newly bought home. We heard a lot of good but also bad, and decided to meet with a company about it. Choosing Coranado Solar was one of the best and easiest choices we made! Our representative from Coranado was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to answer any questions we had, even the silly ones. There were some parts we didn’t understand and he broke it down until we did and ALSO took us to see a home that recently received solar so we could see the system and how it works. They double check their work and re-review everything before applying for the system. They also were able to work around our schedule for the most part when installing as I work from home and couldn’t have noise all week long. It took them a day and half and it was ready to go! They also helped us talk with Duke our electric company to make sure we switched that over correctly. We have had our system for nearly 2 yrs now and so happy we invested into it! It’s much much cheaper than regular electric and knowing we are helping produce clean energy as well is an additional blessing! The only headaches received was from the power company themselves, but when reaching out to Coranado Solar nearly 8 months after install, they were still right there to help. I’ve recommended and continue to recommend Coranado Solar to people interested. I’ve had other companies speak to us about it but they are usually way over priced and not as friendly and customer focused as Coranado Solar.

So, here’s our story… I had not had much thought if any at all about renewable energy. Of course i was tired of watching TECO ass rape me every month, but never thought about solar. One afternoon I had this young salesman come by my house. We live in a gated subdivision so we don’t see solicitors, but I was standing outside BSing and he caught me. He was a young, arrogant lad that gave me his spill standing in the driveway. I was listening half ass and was ready for him to leave. He talked me into an appointment to discuss his product so I finally gave in. He arrives for our appointment and explained everything and caught me ear. I was certainly interested in solar at that point. However, the fact was this kid was a douche bag that tried to belittle my wife and I because we wouldn’t agree and sign a contract right away for a large investment. I pretty much told him to scram as he pissed me off. The one thing he did do right however was peak my interest. We have some close friends that lived about 10 houses down from us that had solar. After doing my homework and getting the contact information for Coronado from my friend, I gave them a call and set up an appointment. The gentleman Phil Kline who arrived was not only a kind, laidback dude… he was the complete 180 of the jackass I had previously met with. We talked with Phil for about an hour. He was a humble man who spoke to us like he knew us for years. Phil was not only personable… but was very sincere and honest. We signed up that afternoon before he left and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I have referred 5 other friend and family members who have also signed up. It’s a no brainer… NO MORE ELECTRIC BILL (except meter charges). Phil and I have not only become friends on a business level, but also a personal level. The entire staff at Coronado has been superb. Any issues or questions I’ve had have been taken care of immediately. I will recommend Coronado to anyone interested in solar. Great company!!!

We had our solar system installed in September 2019, and have been happy with it ever since the first month. We have a 2500 square-foot home with a heated pool. For many many months, our bill is simply the connection charge which Duke energy requires. We are so happy with our solar system, we would do it again.

You hear so many bad stories about solar companies and installers… and they are true for most shady fly-by-night companies looking to oversell you to take your money and promise you everything and follow through with nothing! Corondo Solar is the furthest from the above statements. They want to make sure you have a great experience from the initial quote to installation to service & support. I highly recommend Coronado Solar.

Coronado came on time and installed my system. It took a while for Duke energy to approve the system. I went with battery backup after loosing power for over a week after Hurricane Irma. I’ve been happy with service so far.

I regret ever getting involved with Coronado Solar. I have had my system for 3 years & it still is not right. It takes them months to send someone for service, they don't know how to fix it. I have a $400/month solar loan bill & I'm still getting high electric bills with 42 panels on my roof. My total energy cost for July was $713 in a 1200 sq ft home. I am still waiting until they can tell me when they can send someone next but they don't know when that will be. I have had technicians here several times & my system is still not functioning correctly. I will continue to file claims with BBB until they resolve this issue.

Coronado Solar points the finger to Generac and Generac tells me that the Coronado Solar needs to fix the issue. It seems that several PV links are not working causing the solar panels to not produce electricity. So I am paying for a service that is not working and my electric is also higher since my panels are not providing electricity. We are now entering the summer heat with a contraption that does not work!! I would like to find legal assistance to sue this company!!

We purchased our solar system not well educated about them. Coronado Solar did a quality job and explained everything to us. I have had no disappointments. System works great. Over producing energy. Awesome

I can’t remember how or why I selected Coronado Solar but the end result is a well-installed system that is already paying dividends. There were definitely some delays in the permitting process but I attribute the majority of the issues to the Santa Rosa County offices. Our system is up and running and we look forward to $0 energy bills.

I got solar from them installed . well semi installed and its still sitting on top of my roof . they just want to hurry up and get the panels up so they can get the check from the bank then its a big mess . nobody knows anything now and that's if you can even reach them. I had 2 other people get solar from them and its been the same for each
