NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER
Code Green put the Solar on my roof in June and now I hear the bankrupt and my solar is just sitting up there on my roof and not running at all!!! They left all of their new customers hanging and I hear that Vison Solar took all of their Code Green employees and I cant find their number from google and you gotta wonder if its really a company out there.....still waiting for sunrun to help me and they are dragging their feet too.....so sick of this and should have never done this from the get go!!!

Avoid at all costs
Please avoid this company. They installed the panels on our home in Florida in June 2018. They still are not hooked up to the city because they have not given the city the plans so the inspector can come out. They should have done that before installation. Now we have a roof leak where the panels are. The main number on their website only rings with no way to leave a voicemail. No one is responding to our emails. We are currently seeking legal action. Please do NOT use this company. I’m not even sure they are still in business to be honest. I have never dealt with such poor service.

Worst customer service and slowest posiible installation
Worst company ever. Avoid at all costs. There are many alternative companies, go with any other. I started my installation in March, and installation was completed by May. Until this day, August 8th, my service is still not activated. I have tried to reach code green for the last 3 weeks, and no one answers, and you get forwarded to a third party service that takes a message, but he also cannot reach anyone at this company. Their voicemail is full, and they will never get back to you. Worst customer service ever, and since they already have you signed up and installed your solar panels already, they really dont care how long it takes to finish the setup process. 0 stars for this terrible company.

Worse company to deal with
Signed up for solar panels in February 2017 they were suppose to be installed by end of June. Had to keep calling on them to figure out what was going on by July. First time they came out they had told my g.f. that they were going to need to remove my insulation inside of my garage ( panels installed on garage which is insulated 30x60) we told them you need to put it back how you found it just common sense, and they refused so we told them to leave. Next day we get a phone call they will put the insulation back. So a week and a half later they arrive again and take insulation down and install the panel supports. 2 weeks later they come back to dredge the power supply to the house and cut my sprinkler pipes after they were told where they were and said nothing to anyone I happen to look in the hole where they dredged and saw a 5 inch piece of pipe missing and had to call the office the next day about what happened. They electrition arrived 2 weeks later from this to do the wiring come inside the house to the main box. We were told he would need to come back since he did not have enough wire ( he never came back to date ) then we were told they would need an inspector to come out and check everything before turning the system on. When they came back to install the actual panels we were told no one had to be here to do so which is fine. ( to this date no inspector has come back to the house and inspect anything inside out side or any wiring) instead someone from the company was sent here since I called 4 times to ask about it. When they arrived they looked at the power junction box and my meter and said everything is good and producing ( not an inspector, never entered house ). Also we are still owed a sign on bonus of $500.00 we were promised at 6 different times including at sign on. We have been calling since January 2018 1 year later when I was told give it 2 weeks it has to go to our processing department which when I called in February I was told I was lieing and there is no record of it. Each call I was forwarded to the supervisors in the cherry hill office and have not once received a phone call back after multiple messages and phone calls. But willing to bet 100% if the solar bill was not paid they would contact me and want to take them down. Multiple days of taking off work for their no shows and incompetence to have what they need, they have been here around 10 times and 3 no shows

Worst Solar Company
Don’t use this compay! We signed up with Code Green June 2017. We were told that the solar panels would be up and running by September 2017. They had to come back three times to do the electric work because they kept doing it wrong. The job was in finally completed in December. In January AC Electric gave us the approval to have the solar panels turned on. We received a phone call from Sunnova (the finance company) in January to let us know that they terminated their business with Code Green because of illegal practices. So now we are in limbo and stuck with unusable solar panels! We were also promised a sign on bonus from Code Green which we never received. We regret signing on with this company.

OVERPROMISE AND UNDERDELIVER
First of all, don't believe their 100% offset when they use that term. What it is supposed to mean is that 100% of your power will be produced by the sun and you will only be paying your lease payment to the leasing company and nothing more. That's nonsense. Since day one I have had an ongoing bill with PSE&G. They told me that my roof would be producing so much electricity that I wouldn't be a slave to PSE&G anymore. This passed January my bill from PSE&G alone was $277.52. That's not including my $105.00 lease payment to Sunnova. What happened with me not having to pay anything to PSE&G anymore? Don't believe that line when they say it. I know in the winter the daylight is limited and the panels sometimes have snow on them but they never spoke about that when they sold me the contract. They never explained that I would have higher bills with PSE&G in the winter because I wouldn't be producing much. They said I would be using my solar credits that I would accumulate from the sunny days and that would compensate for the cloudy short days. That's nonsense as well. By the way my house is only 1450 sq ft and I practically live in a cave with what I have running in this house. Beyond the normal refrigerator and a couple computers in sleep mode, the only other things running are maybe two tv's and two end table lamps. Nothing out of the ordinary. My electrical consumption is nothing different than the year before I got the solar yet my savings are nothing like they promised. Very disappointed.

Beware Of Code Green!
I had solar installed by this company during the summer. The salesman I dealt with was recommended by a neighbor so i was somewhat trusting, this was my first mistake. Upon arrival the salesman made some small talk and then produced the solar blueprint that was created using google earth and the design of my roof. So he proceeds to go over the numbers and mentions that i would be getting a 1000.00 dollar rebate check for signing with them, i wasn't surprised because my neighbor mentioned the same thing to me prior but i was skeptical as to how they could afford this. when asked he replied it was built in the the lease plan, still skeptical but he stated it would all be in the contract. after reviewing the plans i decided i would sign on. the contract was completely electronic with salesman saying i would be provided a paper copy which never happened. what also did not happen was the wording of that rebate being put into the contract. i will say that the install went as stated, smooth and anytime i needed to talk with someone at code green they were more then happy to return my call. this all changed after the system was finally turned on in late Oct. i called the salesman late Nov and told him i hadn't seen the check yet, he stated sometimes they get a little behind and to call back in Dec. i call back in Dec.and what a surprise the salesman no longer works for the company at least thats what he told me. I call code Green and speak with Nicole in accts. Nicole tells me I wasn't on the list and she is putting me on the list but i probably will not see payment until Jan. so like a fool i wait until mid January and call back and get Nicole again this time she tells me she is transferring me to customer service before i could stop her i'm speaking with someone in customer service who now tells me that they are no longer affiliated with Sunnova, i wont be getting anything from Code Green and that I should call Sunnova for the rebate. there was no need to call Sunnova as i called them in Dec. to see if this rebate was something they did, this is not something they do. i explained this to the customer service rep but it didn't matter. sine then i've called numerous times and asked to speak with a manager and the reply is always there in a meeting. 1 time it was almost 5pm, meeting!! really. i'm not surprised about the fake rebate but i am surprised at how this company operates after the sale. By the way Sunnova told me they will not let Code Green touch any of there installed products. For a company that states how much they promote customer service why don't they provide it. They turn into the Iron Curtain after the system is turned on. Ray Zola, Thomas Cleary I hope you read this, I hope it matters

Horrible business
Worst company EVER ! FBI lurking I should have know to stay away. Then when I call and complain some rude pushy man by the name of ROB SHAW calls to try to smooth things over . He did not want to hear anything I had to say. All he cared about was promising not to go to social media to bash the company ! Too late buddy . They should fire everyone then burn down the whole business. I have never spoke to so many incompentent people in my life. All I want is my roof taken care of and keep getting the run around. Lacking customer service. Fed up . DO NOT CHOOSE CODE GREEN

superb service
Nicole was an excellent contractor and spent time to understand our needs and ensure our system was installed exactly how we wanted. The install was quick and professional. I would highly recommend Code green solar for any future projects. The system we have is hands down better than any of the systems offered by the solar lease companies

Good Experience over all!
I was hesitent to go solar at first because you hear some people not really understanding what they have, then I was refered to a rep who came out to my house and explained it to me. Its really a pretty simple process, the system was installed very timely, faster then my rep explained to me when we met. Overall, I am very happy and have recomended this company to my family and friends! I see some other peoples comeplaints but I would imagine they just didnt fully listen. You will always get a bill from pseg plus your solar payment, even if the system makes more than you used. My bills so far since its been running have been under $10 instead of the $225 I was paying before, my new monthly total is about $145 with solar!

this company in a scam, you dont save money end up paying the company monthly and pseg high bills as well. the panels dont store energy for you to use at night , what fraudulent activity, there customer services is horrible, they are all liars and cover-ups, there salesman mr davis valasquez tells lies from day one, so much negative energy with this company, trust me stay far away from them

Good experience
I had a company come out and they tried to sign me up on a really high electric rate and said I had to get a new roof and pay for my own tree removal. Joe from Code green was able to get me the same electric rate with a brand new roof and even took care of a tree that was shading my garage. Everything is included in my current solar bill which is less than what my average bill was without solar. I have never wrote a review and wouldn't have been able to write this one if not for the help of my daughter to help me use the computer. Code green did such an amazing job I had to share.

Excellent!
I had a great experience through the entire process. My consultant Tim Munson was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He helped me out whenever I had questions. My system is doing everything that I was told it would do and more. I definitely recommend this to everyone trying to cut down on those crazy electric bills

Great Customer Service .
I sat with 2 other solar comapanies before meeting the code green rep. He explained everything to me ( thats not an easy task ) answered all of my questions. They stayed in contact with me through out the entire process . Even the sales rep called updating me on where they were with permits and inspection . Im saving money and actually understand how this all works ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND CODE GREEN SOLAR !

Poor Service
Stay away from this company. Poor customer service. They installed my panels in May 2016 but forgot to tell me and my neighbor that 2 trees in her yard has to come down. Fast forward to December 2016, Code Green sends out a troubleshooter to see why my panels are not producing what they thought. At that time, they tell me that they think 3 panels may have been put on the wrong roof and my neighbors trees need to come down. This is 7 months after installation. I told them I did not want to involve my neighbor and the troubleshooter acted like what was the big deal and she would be compensated. I did not want Code Green contacting my neighbor so I reached out to her only to ask if anyone had ever contacted her about the trees. She said no and after explaining the situation to her, she hesitantly agreed to have the trees removed. All of the sudden, these trees companies could not get this job started soon enough (I guess they just wanted the business). They did a poor job. They dropped a limb on my neighbor's shed, damaging it and damaged grass that had been recently seeded and grown. Again, my neighbor is not a solar customer and only agreed to this trying to be neighborly. I have called Code Green 4 times trying to advocate on behalf of my neighbor to get her some sort of compensation for her inconvenience or just compensate her for the loss of 2 trees. No one from Code Green will respond to me. They will not even respond to me regarding the 3 panels that may have been put on the wrong roof that could be affecting my solar production. I truly regret ever being connected with Code Green. My relationship with my neighbor has basically been ruined due to Code Green's incompetence and poor customer service. Of course, I am still expected to pay my monthly bill to Sunnova, who is Code Green's partner and Sunnova refuses to do anything even though I only asked them to reach out to Code Green management for someone to call me. Once they have you under contract and your money, they simply do not care. STAY AWAY!!!!!!! Regarding the installation, after the installers left, I was landscaping in the backyard and found multiple cigarette butts in my yard tossed carelessly by the installers. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Saved me money on my electric bill and installation looks good
A kid from this company knocked on my door a few months ago, I wasn't really interested in solar before that. The rep Tim came out to my house and explained everything to me and told me my system wouldn't be as ugly as my neighbors from another company. He was right, it got turned on last month and it looks as nice as solar could... and my electric bill this month was only $5, even with the snow!

Terrific company
Code Green installed my solar panels about 3 months ago and Im very surprised at how quick they installed. I needed a new roof which they covered. Only saving 200 this year but my rate never goes up :) Good customer service and they made the process easy. The salesman David V who covers the jersey shore area was a kind family man. Took his time and explained everything to me and even after signing I had more questions and Code Green got back to me right away. I sat with 2 other companies but none of them offered to cover my roof cost.Best decision was going with Code Green.

BAD EXPERIENCE
The sales Rep was a complete fraud, he lied about the pricing and savings, we only saw him once then he disappeared, the company in total is pretty much running a scam, they claim to be locally owned but the owner is never to be found, and everyone we called gives us the runaround, the installation took over 6 months and we had many problems with the panels and the billing afterwords. We reached out to other customers and they all had horrible experiences as well. All i have to say is that i regret signing a contract with this company.

Horrible
Same as the last woman, fraudulent, sleazy sales rep lied and forged contracts and code green won't even accept responsibility for hiring and paying commission to this disgusting human being! $10,000 in damages!! Three young children one income and a 25 year old dilapidated roof that they were supposed to replace!! Now even further compromised by hundreds of holes and panels that aren't turned on! What reputable company installs solar panels on a 25 year old roof with missing shingles?? Their own finance company has cut ties with them because of this issue!! They tried to get them to do the right thing! RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM CODE GREEN SOLAR!! This sales rep has a long history and has law suits against him, code green just turns their cheek!!! Fantastic Company
I had a great experience with Code Green Solar. My cheaper bill hasn't kicked in yet due to them just being installed this week. The panels that this company provides are black on black, they look sleeker than other solar panels I've seen, making them not such an eyesore. I needed a new roof and they were able to provide that for me with no out of pocket costs, while still saving me a lot of money. Everyone I dealt with inside the company was very pleasant.

Stay away
I inquired about solar from a salesman at Code Green. He basically told me everything I wanted to hear. After I signed he was no where to be found. They showed up 2 months later and slapped 30 panels all wonky on my roof. My roof is leaking and no one cares, I talked to Jonathan Sievert at Code Green and he basically told me where to go. He screamed and yelled about how great of a company they are and that I'm crazy. He also said he'd have his guys come and rip it off, if I was so unhappy with their work. Please don't go with Code Green, they're crooks and the owner is being sued by the old owner of a company he bought in Puerto Rico. Read up! And don't do business with crooks!!

Great company!
After receiving a ton of phone calls from all different solar companies I decided to look into possibility of solar myself. That is when I came across code green solar. I set an appointment to have a representative come out to my home and tell me a little bit about what was going on. We had just about an hour long sit down where I was taught about an amazing program available which didn't cost me any money to go with and reduced my electric costs substantially. Initially I was concerned in regards to many trees I have shading my roof. Code green also took care of removing those trees at no cost to me! When it came to the installation everything was done in a timely and professional manner.

Bad installation and old style solar panels
This company is not very knowledgeable about solar panels. I did not have a choice on the brand of solar panels make model or wattage. The solar panels were provided by sunnova in Houston Texas. Before and after installation I was not advised about the product I was getting and how it would be installed. The solar panels are old and cheap-looking with a large amount of support clips sticking up between the panels. Also or three or four rows the panels each one is reverse and not lining up properly. Unfortunately the solar panels are on the front of my house anesthetics means everything I feel the look and installation of the panels have lowered the value of my home. I advise strongly not to do business with code green or sonnova solar panels. I've tried contacting go green first to fix the problem after no return phone calls after 30 days I gave up. Contacted sonnova about the problems all they did was look at a couple photographs from the installation company and said everything looks fine to them they do not back up their product.
