Cape Fear Solar Systems

Excellent outfit

Cape Fear installed my solar hot water system several years ago. I was impressed with them from my initial talk with them all the way through with the installation. But I was even more impressed over the years when I needed some work done on the system. Not only were they right on top of things for me, but they haven't charged me a nickel for any of the service calls.

Great to work with from installation through maintenance.

Highly recommended in our area.

They did a great job and worked the job until i was satisfied

They had the best reputation and staying power

Great company to work with

My 16kW system was installed in a timely manner and Cape Fear Solar did everything they were supposed to. The crew was respectful in every way during the installation and John (sales) was very communicative during the process. I highly recommend Cape Fear Solar.

Go Kristen

Patient, quickly responded to all our questions, no pressure, great communication, professional and friendly install team. Couldn’t be happier. Definitely recommend.

Love the payback

We have had Cape Fear Solar panels now for 3 years. Their customer service is outstanding. We had already signed with another company when I called them to hear their pitch. They totally took apart our other deal, financially as well as mechanically. This system is even better than they claim to be! It will pay for itself closer to 6-7 years instead of the 10 they were quoting. I also like the fact that these panels are not made in Communist China but Taiwan and I believe other parts are from the Philippines. Our power company says it’s great working with Cape Fear! And our solar is bought back, so we are contributing TO the grid. Great job guys!!

Great company - Great Service

I used this company to have a basis for my solar panels on my new house. They did a great assessment of my usage, roof, and environment. They came to the house after numerous meetings online (COVID) to finalize the project and check if 100% everything was fine. Everything financially was reviewed. Before starting, they took over all the communication with the HOA. Once approved by the HOA, the project was started. I now have 28 beautiful Solar Panels which cover 100% of my yearly usage. Would I recommend Cape Fear Solar Systems: YES.

Consummate Professionals

Cape Fear Solar System installed a PV array with battery backup on my new house in Wilmington making it an energy net zero home. The battery backup ensures I never lose power even in the event of a hurricane. There is no solar installer I would recommend or consider other than Cape Fear Solar for solar energy needs. They are the consummate professionals in everything they do from assessment of needs, project proposal, installation and post installation start-up and service. The equipment installed is the best available for both performance and reliability. Everything that was done was thorough and professional. If you are in the market for solar power addition to your home or business, do yourself a favor and contact CFSS, you absolutely will be glad you did.

Very happy

Great staff. Very professional. Kept me informed, did all the permitting and install and turn on was turn key for me.

A Great Solar Experience

We have had our system for four years and it has been everything we expected. After the first two years, we were so pleased that we doubled the size of it and almost did away with our electric bill. The payback from savings is done in three more years. Then it is all savings. Cape Fear Solar Systems in Wilmington has been great. We had to have a new roof after Hurricane Florence in September. Cape Fear Solar removed and stored the panels while the roof was installed. The panels were not harmed by the hurricane.

Great Company

Very honest ,straight forward and answered all questions.. Also solved a problem after installation

13.08 KW, 40 panel roof installation, Stedman, NC.

All individuals that I came in contact with...before...during and after project completion, were totally professional. All personnel were experienced, courteous and tidy in there respective job taskings for the project.

If only all companies were this good...

We had our system installed in Autumn of 2016 and have been delighted with the whole experience from the get go. Cape Fear Solar have been delightful from start to finish and their follow up is amazing. We get a call every now and then for free check ups and the system is performing even better than expected. Our bills are almost non existent in an all electric house and we are very satisfied.

great informative and efficient

When I enquired we made a appointment the team showed up and did their survey, the next meeting they had a complete plan and it was very informative and detailed. When they showed up to install it was very efficient and professional. I didn't have to clean up anything, it was all taken care of. All the follow ups and customer service are polite and professional. I would highly recommend Cape Fear Solar.

Cape Fear Solar Systems

It’s been about 18 months since our installation & the system is performing even better than expected! We have an all electric 3000 sq ft house & experience Duke Energy bill between $5-$14 year round! We conserve energy where we can but this system is amazing. This year, Cape Fear came around, unasked, & performed a complete system check including climbing onto the roof to make sure everything is properly connected. Great local business to deal with - we are very happy customers!

Just installed 32.4 KW system on my House

John and forest came to my home and we worked out a deal for the largest residentual system that they ever installed. The process was simple and the installers were very professional. I would highly recommend Cape Fear Solar. I look forward to saving money while helping the enviroment.

Easy to Work With

One of the great things about using Cape Fear Solar Systems is that they handle all of the paperwork -- the architectural review, county inspections, and Duke Energy to get the new meter installed. They answered all of our questions and gave us peace of mind that we were working with the right professionals. They completed the installation on the roof quickly and did a good job of cleaning up. We definitely recommend them.

Solar Panels and Solar Water Tank

Cape Fear Solar is a great company to work with. They were very helpful from beginning to end. John came to our vacant lot to meet us and work with our contractor through completion of our home. They really are one of the best companies we ever worked with and would strongly recommend them.

Happy Customer

Cape Fear Solar Systems did an awesome job on the installation of our system around 10 months ago. love the app on my phone able to access the system at all times. The guys that came to install are the best.

Solar Thermal is the way to go!

We had our solar thermal water heating system installed by Cape Fear Solar Systems in March after considering several options from other companies. The installation team was prompt and the installation process was seamless. We could not be more pleased with the results. We are seeing a reduction in our electric bill of nearly 40% from the same time last year. We highly recommend Cape Fear Solar. The entire team and the products they offer are top-notch.

A Complete Success!

We are thoroughly satisfied with Cape Fear Solar's professionalism from sales to installation. Best of all, the system is performing even better than expected! We have essentially zero electric bills in an all electric house (there is a minimum charge from Duke). They are locally owned and operated and all the employees with whom we had contact were knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!

Highly recomment

We recently had solar panels installed on a new construction home in Brunswick County, NC and used Cape Fear Solar Systems. We are extremely pleased we went with this company. They were knowledgeable, easy to work with and designed a solar system to meet our needs and our budget. The installation went smoothly and Cape Fear handled all of the details. Now, we are anxious to move in and enjoy all the benefits of having a top notch Solar System on our new home. We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to install a Solar System.

Pleased with Service and Product

Very professional and easy to work with. Rapid installation.

Professional, responsive

Matt provided a comprehensive review of our solar needs as well as a comparison of their panels to the competition, what the savings we would expect each month, as well as financing that would make it affordable. Robert has been very responsive, setting up the monitoring keeping on top of Duke/Progress, etc. The installers worked around the rain on a rainy week. They called us to let us know when they were coming late to avoid the rain, etc. Great communication from the entire team.

Professionalism, expertise and quality of product make Cape Fear

I only have positive things to say about our decision to have Cape Fear Solar Systems install our solar panels on our residence. Their team gave a clear and informative assessment and consultation on their product following through with painless installment and a system which is now delivering more than predicted in savings. We have seen our electricity bill halved.
