Aston Solar

Stay away from Aston Solar! They installed our solar about a year and half ago and it has been a terrible experience. <br /><br />First they were very slow in getting things installed and had did not have enough workers to do the job in an efficient manner. When the panels were delivered I was even asked to help unload them myself (what!?). When the installation process started it took a while as it seemed we were an afterthought. <br /><br />To top things off the workers left a mess behind of cut wires and conduit. We even had to call them asking them to clean it up. Eventually they did but not too well. <br />This winter we discovered that squirrels had built nests under the panels. Now when we were getting the panels I specifically asked the owner Tom Chen if squirrels were a problem and he told me he had never heard of squirrels being a problem. Well, they were and they chewed through the wires causing our panels not to work. We called for service and they eventually came 2 weeks later to look. They did not fix them for another 2 weeks and then had to come back again. They said we were responsible for the damage but they would fix it this one time, but I had to get up and clean the nests out and do something to keep them out. When I told him I didn't think so, he told me the squirrels were not there because of the panels but were on our roof before (this is not true). I was dumb struck. He told me to get someone to squirrel proof. I called another solar company and the owner called right back. HE said that squirrels are a big problem with solar panels (not what Tom told me) and that his company offers a squirel guard, but it costs $1500 to install. <br />I has it done, but emailed Tom asking that since he had told us it would be a problem maybe he could help with some of the cost. Almost a month later I have heard NOTHING from him, What?!<br />When the other company installed the guards they noticed that many wires were thrown around under the panels, no way squirrels could do that. Yet again poor work on their part.<br />What is the worst thing that I have been disappointed with is that Tom has not even replied back to me after emails I have sent.<br />This company has been a nightmare for me.
