Jesus did an inspection and found a small problem he quickly repaired. He was professional and took care of our problem at our Arizona home.

I purchased the system about 11 years ago. since they were giving a number of rebates. About a year ago they called and wanted to know if I would like to have someone come out and check the system at a cost of over $300. I agreed and they wrote me a report. One of the items was that I had a cracked Panel. Since things seemed to be working OK it did not bother me. Move ahead a year. My system went out so I called them. They wanted another $300. to come out and do what they called another inspection. I asked if this would include fixing the problem? No Answer! While I was talking to them they told me the converter was only warranted for 10 years. OK I was also told the Panels were warranted longer then that. I started to question them if that is the case when they were out a year ago and found the cracked panel, why was it not replaced if it was under warranty? That started our conversation to deteriorate. I just want to say when the installation was done I would have given the a A+ but today they get and F -. I would not recommend doing business with them if you are going to purchase the system. The person I talked to hung up on me because of the questions I was asking.

Crews are not knowledgeable, and always rescheduling. No-one gives any real answers, or has any answers. Company over all us extremely sloppy.

APPRECIATE FOR THE MOST PART PEOPLE SUCH AS SEAN THE OWNER TO VINCE- JESUS DARCI AND STEVE. VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THAT WAS DONE. OVERALL PLEASED WITH THE COMMUNICATION EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE SOME BUMPS ALONG THE WAY. WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM RECOMMENDING AMERICAN ROOFING AND SOLAR.

American Solar and Roofing was prompt to install our system but our inverter has gone out 2x since 2017. We have been left without solar both times for months on end. We have not been able to get service this year for over 2 months. This is unacceptable service!

The two workers who came and removed our solar panels due to a new roof that was needed and reinstalled them were great. Thanks Jesus and Jose.

After just over 1 year of having my solar system up and running it has faulted twice. Getting customer service is almost impossible. Have to wait for 1 - 3 days for a call back. Once someone finally called me back they told me that it would be three weeks before they could come out. I called the manufacturer of the Sunny Boy inverter and they said that the model that had been installed for me has been recalled and should be replaced.

Long story short, after countless calls and scheduled visits, our inverter (under warranty) is STILL not changed after 2.5 months. Legal action is currently being taken against American Solar. There is also talk that the company is going bankrupt. Do NOT do business with them!

I hired American Solar and Roofing to redo my roof after a major windstorm. My insurance paid the company in full before they even began the project. During the project, my driveway was broken by a forklift, and roof tiles were thrown off the roof the put holes in my garage door. I have spent the last couple of months sending emails and making phone calls to the CEO Joy Seitz and the salesman James Mathews, but I am having no luck. In an email, they admitted the damage and said they would fix it, but now they are avoiding me. Please avoid this company at all cost. They took advantage of a Military Veteran, and they don't even care. Please read all the reviews on BBB and Yelp. Save yourself from the nightmare I am dealing with.

Solar was installed on the roof years ago. Has been working fine up until this week. My mother called when SRP showed up while we were gone saying there was an automated report on their computer that we had no power to the house. Turns out the inverter broke. Nobody answered at 1 pm at American Solar... She left a message and waited... No reply all day. No reply the next morning so she called again! Woman had the nerve of having my elderly parents check the system instead of sending out someone from their company! To top that off, she said they were too busy to replace the part under warranty for at least 3 weeks! She's an elderly existing customer, paid a fortune for this system, had to check it herself, it's under warranty, and they're not gonna fix it.... I'm pissed!!! She's stressed out 'cause her meter is running on SRP only for about a month and running up the electric bill !!! So much for American Solar customer service! Buyer beware!

American Solar and Roofing really cares about the quality of the install and the products used. The sales rep I worked with was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable through the entire process. What's amazing to me is that the rep I worked with (Josh) was not just a salesman, but knew everything about the product specs and even did the initial design. With American Solar and Roofing, you're not just handed off multiple times. They really make sure you understand each phase of the process and how your system will work.

They were ok until I discovered structural damage caused by the weight of the panel. They refused to fix it and it was left to me and my cost to repair.

The combined services offers a huge advantage over just installing a solar system and collecting a commission. The process is very well defined and each member of their teams presents themselves well and provided honest straight responses to requests made. Seems they have an excellent reputation with the utility companies, they stated the system was ready to be commissioned, the system work as designed. Would highly recommend them over those too big to care national solar companies.

All work was done in a timely manner with everything done and finished on time. The installation is very neat and clean looks orginal to the house not a add on. American Solar workers did a great job. We would use them again.

They also replaced my roof under the panels as the roof is 15 years old.

Electric utility company APS (Arizona Public Service) changed rebate amounts and application process after contract was signed with solar installer, which greatly complicated and delayed the process, but American Solar handled the changes to the best of their ability and to my complete satisfaction (i.e., with American Solar, but not APS).

Delay was due to inability to get permits.

This was one of the finest companies we have ever dealt with. They were outstanding in every way. All of their employees were polite, professional and very helpful. My wife and I are pleaed to recommend them highly. We would be happy to be listed as references.

The salesperson who came to my home listened to me, I had requested that she bring a solar panel so I could see how big it was and she did just that. She answered our questions and gave us time to think, she did not pressure us to sign in anyway. The installers were outstanding, clean, neat and took time to answer any questions I had.I have never had men so neat and clean on anything in my life, they cleaned as they went along with the installation and did not wait until they were totally finished with the job. The jobsite was always clean and professional in the manner of respect to your home. I can not say enough good things about this company. It was a learning experience for me that I have shared with many others. I truly know how everything was put together. The design people helped me to understand the drawings prior to signing for the drawing to be sent to getting the permit. Once it got back from the permit part eveything fell into place. I would HIGHLY recommend American Solar to everyone looking for a company that will treat you and your home with respect. Only correction needed was documentation of compatibilty of the breaker used for the solar system, since our home was 25 years old. Once the inspector had that our system passed with flying colors. The inspector told me that this company was one that always submitted all of their requirements at a the start of the project and everyone that used them reported to him what a great job they did on the installation. Our city has tough building permit requirements according to everyone I have talked to.

Our system is too new to answer some of your questions re follow-up, but I expect the follow-up to be just as great as the intial work. This is by far the best experience we have ever had with a residential contractor. Great company to work with. We are still a bit confused by how the APS billing will work, but we are looking forward to our follow-up meeting with ASE.

The crew that did the installation was very friendly and professional and cleaned up after themselves. We are very pleased.

American Solar exceeded expectations. How ? I needed a new roof too, so American Solar worked with the roofer to coordinate roof replacement and solar installation. Excellent. And now, the monthly savings on our S bill is worth every penny of our American Solar investment. Well Done. INstalation was smooth.

I like the means in which American Solar conducts thier business and how friendly and honest they all are.

I have a house in Flagstaff and I have already made arrangement to be contacted in 2010 to look at installation. I hope I will receive the same outstanding service that I received here in Phoenix. By the way, I must wait until 2010 because of tax credit and rebate reasons...otherwise we would have already started. VERY PLEASED with my system here....and my SRP bill has dropped to between 12 and 14 dollars per month. Couldn`t be more pleased. My contractor did it ALL. There was no worry, no hassels, no stress. So easy

they have been to my house 2 times for follow up.with out my asking i will reccomend and have to other people. great company great people they explained everything to me we had no delays or problems

Initial contact and follow-up by the company rep was exceptional. He Kept continuous contact, responded to calls and questions promptly and provided information and materials to help me make an informed decision. The initial contact for American Solar was far and above superior to the three other solar providers I contacted. This was an excellent experience and I would recommend this company to anyone!

Super employees from Saleman to installers. Knew what they were doing and did the job right. First class vehicles and tools to do the job. Only issue I had was the Power meter reads about 750KWH lower than the Fronious Inverter. Explanation was that was within the equipment specs. I was hoping for a new Power meter. Great company to do business with. I plan on doubling the system in 2010.
