Our next door neighbor recommended that we take a look at SolarCity to engineer and install our solar system. Since I can rely on my neighbors advice, I went ahead and sat down with the SC sales rep to hear/see the pitch and ask questions, etc. It was a good call! I can say with confidence, that engaging SC to perform the entire process, from structural analysis of our roof to engineering the system to install, it was both professional with all aspects and relatively seamless/spring-loaded. The only hang-up was the final step that falls on the shoulders of our electric provider (SCE). I believe that they (SCE) are in short supply of inspectors to carry out the inspection of the entire system prior to giving their blessing in order to turn the system on. I cannot comment (yet) about the savings, as our system has been up only a short amount of time in order to receive the monthly statement that reflects the system being up.
