There a dozens of inverters on the market and each one has a niche. Some play price, others play voltage ranges, other play temperature ranges. Each one serves a purpose for each individual customer. Enphase plays the design flexibility aspect very well. We use Enphase for customers who either don't need a large system where a string inverter would be ideal, or systems with broken arrays facing multiple directions. They are safe to work with because the energy is inverted at the array (DC to AC). They have an excellent warranty and dealing with their customer service is a breeze. Becuase they use powerline communications, sometimes communication and transmitting data from the array to the internet is problematic, but solveable nonetheless. Great product overall.
